Her parents had described the girl's death to police as "a terrible accident" caused by "a moment's inattention" after the toddler was found not breathing by paramedics at her family's Northgate townhouse about 3.30pm on May 25.
It is understood the parents had called for an ambulance, with paramedics performing resuscitation on the toddler for about half an hour before taking her to Lady Cilento Children's Hospital, but Maddilyn-Rose died that night.

Maddilyn-Rose's father, 30, and mother, 23, will face the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
