Taylor Alison Swift (born December 13, 1989) is an American singer-songwriter. Raised in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, she moved to Nashville, Tennessee, at the age of 14 to pursue a career in country music. She signed with the independent label Big Machine Records and became the youngest songwriter ever signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house. The release of Swift's eponymous debut album in 2006 marked the start of her career as a country music singer. Her third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Hot Country Songs chart.
Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008. Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", Fearless became the best-selling album of 2009 in the United States. The album won four Grammy Awards, making Swift the youngest ever Album of the Year winner. Swift's third and fourth albums, 2010's Speak Now and 2012's Red, both sold more than one million copies within the first week of their U.S release. Speak Now's "Mean" won two Grammy Awards, while Red's singles "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" and "I Knew You Were Trouble" were successful worldwide. Swift's fifth album, the pop-focused 1989, was released in 2014 and sold more copies in its opening week than any album in the previous 12 years, making Swift the first and only act to have three albums sell more than one million copies in the opening release week. Its singles "Shake It Off", "Blank Space", and "Bad Blood" reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100. The album would go on to win three awards at the 2016 Grammys including Album of the Year making Swift the first and thus far only female artist to receive the award twice.

The swifts are a family, Apodidae, of highly aerial birds. They are superficially similar to swallows, but are not closely related to any of the passerine species. Swifts are placed in the order Apodiformes, which they share with hummingbirds. The treeswifts are closely related to the true swifts, but form a separate family, the Hemiprocnidae.
Resemblances between swifts and swallows are due to convergent evolution, reflecting similar life styles based on catching insects in flight.
The family name, Apodidae, is derived from the Greek ἄπους (ápous), meaning "footless", a reference to the small, weak legs of these most aerial of birds. The tradition of depicting swifts without feet continued into the Middle Ages, as seen in the heraldic martlet.
Some species of swifts are among the fastest animals on the planet, with some of the fastest measured flight speeds of any bird.
Taxonomists have long classified swifts and treeswifts as relatives of the hummingbirds, a judgement corroborated by the discovery of the Jungornithidae (apparently swift-like hummingbird-relatives) and of primitive hummingbirds such as Eurotrochilus. Traditional taxonomies place the hummingbird family (Trochilidae) in the same order as the swifts and treeswifts (and no other birds); the Sibley-Ahlquist taxonomy treated this group as a superorder in which the swift order was called Trochiliformes.

After arriving late on a Friday night, we had some drinks, partied up for a fresh day around the city. Saturday morning we took a nice carriage tour around the hot spots of the city, walked around to check out some artifacts, the waterfront, and have lunch. Tight on time we set off for Folly Beach to not only take a dip in the water b...

press “show more” to know more! hey guys! longg time no talk :( as i said in the video i will explain why i have been gone from youtube for so long. once summer began, you all know i went off to sleepaway camp for two weeks. it was really stupid of me to not pre film any videos but then again, i really didn’t have the time. once i got back from camp, the next day, i went to a taylor swift concert which i planned to make a get ready video and also vlog during it, but as you can tell neither of those worked out. two days after that concert i then took off to south carolina where my dog rescue group and i went down to rescue dogs for a whole another 2 weeks. obviously i had no time to film or edit in those 2 days where i was actually home because all i was doing was packing for my next tr...

This week we’re in Charleston, South Carolina, where we started with multi-course magnificence at McCrady’s. Today things are much more down to earth, or rather down to sea: Nana’s Seafood & Soul serves fresh seafood out of a tiny storefront on Line Street, with homegrown preparations of crab, shrimp, and more. Mother/son team Kenyatta and Carolyn McNeil stuffed us full of incredible food, most served on Styrofoam instead of china. Visit The A.V. Club: http://avclub.com Like The A.V. There was a time as a little booy
When I said I'd follow You
But the years have caused the flame
To burn much stronger now
And I'm not burning down any of my bridges
But I'm burning up inside
To flee from my religion and love my neighbor more
I'm not ashamed of the gospel
I'm not ashamed of the one I love
I'm not ashamed of the gospel
I'm not ashamed of the one I love
There was a time in my barrenness
When I felt Your pure affection
And You heard my frail petitions
To serve You endlessly
But have I loved the tree that they put You on?
Or my friend who met me at the cross?
Oh I want to sing again for my brother
And find my way down this mountain
I'm not ashamed anymore
'Cos I've felt the oil pour down over me
And there's a fire that's burning stronger now
It's burning stronger much stronger
