Channel 13 or TV13 may refer to:
The following television stations brand themselves as channel 13 in Mexico:
WJZ-TV, channel 13, is a CBS owned-and-operated television station located in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. The station is owned by the CBS Television Stations subsidiary of CBS Corporation. WJZ-TV's studios and offices are located on Television Hill in the Woodberry section of Baltimore, adjacent to the transmission tower it shares with four other Baltimore television stations.
Baltimore's third television station started on November 2, 1948 as WAAM. The station's original owner was Radio-Television of Baltimore, Inc., which was operated by a pair of Baltimore businessmen, brothers Ben and Herman Cohen. Channel 13 was originally an ABC affiliate, the network's fifth outlet to be located on the East Coast. Until 1956, it carried an additional primary affiliation with the DuMont Television Network. On the station's first day of operations, WAAM broadcast the 1948 presidential election returns and various entertainment shows, remaining on the air for 23 consecutive hours. Channel 13 has been housed in the same studio, located on what is now known as Television Hill, since its inception; the building was the first in Baltimore specifically designed for television production and broadcasting. As a DuMont affiliate, WAAM originated many Baltimore Colts games for the network's National Football League coverage.
Baltimore (/ˈbɔːltᵻˌmɔːr/, locally: [ˈbɔɫ.mɔɻ]) is the largest city in the U.S. state of Maryland, and the 26th-most populous city in the country. It is the largest independent city in the United States. Baltimore has more public monuments than any other city per capita in the country and is home to some of the earliest National Register historic districts in the nation, including Fell's Point (1969), Federal Hill (1970) and Mount Vernon Place (1971). More than 65,000 properties, or roughly one in three buildings in the city, are listed on the National Register, more than any other city in the nation.
Founded in 1729, Baltimore is the second largest seaport in the Mid-Atlantic. Baltimore's Inner Harbor was once the second leading port of entry for immigrants to the United States and a major manufacturing center. After a decline in major manufacturing, industrialization and rail transportation, Baltimore shifted to a service-oriented economy, with the Johns Hopkins Hospital (founded 1889), and Johns Hopkins University (founded 1876), now the city's top two employers.
Originally released as a part of the merchandise for 2003 Hulk film, Hulk Hands are a toy consisting of large foam-rubber clenched fists into which the wearer inserts his hands. When worn, they resemble green oversized boxing gloves that can be used to strike people or objects. The Hulk Hands are wired so that when they are bashed together or against objects, they emit various smashing or crashing sound effects, as well as occasional Hulk-related roars or catch phrases.
The original release featured semi-open packaging and large "Try Me" tags, which made them extremely popular with children, but much less so with retailers who had to deal with damaged packaging. The Hulk Hands were easily the highest-selling and most popular of toys that Toy Biz produced from the movie license. Realizing their broader appeal, Toy Biz produced a number of runs both for the movie and under a generic comic-based Incredible Hulk banner, now favoring more enclosed packaging but retaining the "Try Me" angle. The version of Hulk Hands made for The Avengers film toyline, "Gamma Green Smash Fists" are smaller and a darker green than previous incarnations and made by Hasbro as part of the "The Incredible Hulk film" . For the Avengers: Age of Ultron toyline, "Hulk Gamma Grip Fists" differed by having open palms, allowing the wearer to loosely grip objects.
The Hulk is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, and first appeared in The Incredible Hulk #1 (May 1962). Throughout his comic book appearances, the Hulk is portrayed as a large green humanoid that possesses superhuman strength and invulnerability, attributes that grow more potent the angrier he becomes. Hulk is the alter ego of Bruce Banner, a socially withdrawn and emotionally reserved physicist who physically transforms into the Hulk under emotional stress and other specific circumstances at will or against it; these involuntary transformations lead to many complications in Banner's life. When transformed, the Hulk often acts as a dissociated personality separate from Banner. Over the decades of Hulk stories, the Hulk has been represented with several personalities based on Hulk and Banner's fractured psyche, ranging from mindless savage to brilliant warrior, and Banner has taken control of the Hulk's form on occasion. Banner first transforms into the Hulk after being caught in the blast of the gamma bomb he invented while saving Rick Jones, a youth who had wandered onto the testing range.
This is a collection of image promos which aired from 1982 to 1986 on WJZ-TV Channel 13 in Baltimore. The custom music is from the "It's A Good Feeling To Know" package by JAM Creative Productions. This highly successful campaign created a warm image for the station, which carried over into promos for the station's newscasts and other programming. Local news anchors Jerry Turner, Al Sanders, and even a young Oprah Winfrey are seen in some of the spots.

On September 25, 2010, before an SRO audience, Jesse Ventura discussed his book, "American Conspiracies: Lies, Lies, and More Dirty Lies that the Government Tells Us." He was speaking at Baltimore’s annual BookFest, which is held in the Mt. Vernon Square section of the city. As an intern at WJZ, I was assigned to create several spec spots for the creative services department to keep on file and use as examples of what the department can do for a business if the business wants to air an ad on their channel. This is the third of three spec spots I made for the department. About Faces Day Spa and Salon has several locations throughout Maryland. For the spot, I used Photoshop and After Effects to create a style that was similar to the images and design that was already on the salon's website.
I was featured in this video for roughly 2 seconds as an extra.
