Don T. Beddoe (July 1, 1903 – January 19, 1991) was an American character actor.
Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Beddoe made his Broadway acting debut in 1929, receiving top billing (over a young Spencer Tracy) in Nigger Rich.
After a decade of stage work and bit parts in films, Beddoe began more prominent film roles in the late 1930s. He was usually cast as fast-talking reporters and the like. His commercial acting career was put on hold when he served in World War II in the United States Army Air Corps, in which he performed in the Air Force play, Winged Victory.
Beddoe subsequently returned to films playing small character roles. He occasionally appeared in comedy shorts playing comic foils, such as the Three Stooges shorts Three Sappy People and You Nazty Spy!. Beddoe appeared in over 180 films and dozens of television programs. In the 1950s and 1960s Beddoe made four appearances on Have Gun – Will Travel, three times on Lawman, three on Maverick, three on Laramie, three on Lassie, and three on Perry Mason. He was also cast on the western aviation series, Sky King, with Kirby Grant, on the ABC/Warner Brothers series, The Alaskans, with Roger Moore, on the ABC adventure series, Straightaway, with Brian Kelly and John Ashley, and on the NBC western series, The Tall Man, with Barry Sullivan and Clu Gulager. He appeared too on the CBS sitcom, Pete and Gladys, with Harry Morgan and Cara Williams, and on the ABC drama series, Going My Way, with Gene Kelly. He guest starred as well on David Janssen's first series, the crime drama, Richard Diamond, Private Detective. He also made appearances on episodes of the Lone Ranger in the '50s.
Southern California, often abbreviated SoCal, is a geographic and cultural region that generally comprises California's southernmost 10 counties. The region is traditionally described as "eight counties", based on demographics and economic ties: Imperial, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, Santa Barbara, and Ventura. The more extensive 10-county definition, including Kern and San Luis Obispo counties, is also used based on historical political divisions. Southern California is a major economic center for the state of California and the United States.
The 8- and 10-county definitions are not used for the greater Southern California Megaregion, one of the 11 megaregions of the United States. The megaregion's area is more expansive, extending east into Las Vegas, Nevada, and south across the Mexican border into Tijuana.

The United States of America (USA), commonly referred to as the United States (U.S.) or America, is a federal republic composed of 50 states, a federal district, five major territories and various possessions. The 48 contiguous states and Washington, D.C., are in central North America between Canada and Mexico. The state of Alaska is in the northwestern part of North America and the state of Hawaii is an archipelago in the mid-Pacific. The territories are scattered about the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. At 3.8 million square miles (9.842 million km2) and with over 320 million people, the country is the world's third or fourth-largest by total area and the third most populous. It is one of the world's most ethnically diverse and multicultural nations, the product of large-scale immigration from many countries. The geography and climate of the United States are also extremely diverse, and the country is home to a wide variety of wildlife.
The United States Parachute Association (USPA) is a self-governing body for the sport of skydiving. Its headquarters are located in Fredericksburg, Virginia parallel to I-95. The USPA's roots go back to the National Parachute Riggers-Jumpers, Inc., which formed in the 1930s.
USPA issues sport skydiving licenses and longevity/skill/achievement awards, publishes and maintains skydiving training manuals and course guidelines from which instructional ratings are issued, serves as legal advocate & political lobbyist for skydiving, provides third-party insurance for skydivers, maintains the Basic Safety Requirements (BSR's) as a set of voluntarily followed safety guidelines, coordinates skydiving competitions and awards, and publishes Parachutist, a monthly magazine for members.
The National Skydiving Museum is planned to be built next door to the USPA facility.
Tandem (or in tandem) is an arrangement in which a team of machines, animals or people are lined up one behind another, all facing in the same direction.
The original use of the term in English was in tandem harness, which is used for two or more draft horses, or other draft animals, harnessed in a single line one behind another, as opposed to a pair, harnessed side by side, or a team of several pairs. The tandem harness allows additional animals to provide pulling power for a vehicle designed for a single animal.
The English word tandem derives with a word play from the Latin adverb tandem, meaning at length or finally.
Tandem seating may be used on a tandem bicycle where it is alternative to sociable seating. Tandem can also be used more generally to refer to any group of persons or objects working together, not necessarily in line.
The Messerschmitt KR200 was an example of a very small automobile that used tandem seating. A tandem arrangement may also be used for cars parked in a residential garage.

Jack the Giant Slayer trailer: http://youtu.be/J66XMpVIszk Out of all my trailers so far, this one took the most effort. My previous trailers have been perfect fits, nothing too challenging. Turning this Abbot&Costello comedy into a serious trailer was a new experience for me. There must have been at least 9 different edits of this project. Every time I watched it, I found the tail-end of frames out of place. Originally, Bud's crashing through the window scene was added after the credits, like a bonus scene. But the "I had this, Jack" part wasn't working, so Bud's big scene was moved to that part in the trailer with the movie's sound turned up, and the trailer's turned down. It took a lot of fiddling with fade ins and fade outs to get the sound somewhat acceptable. I watched Jack and the B...

I ripped this straight from the only existing videotape copy of this astonishing and historically crucial interview. It needs to be shared with the world, not only those with high-end WorldCat accounts. Let the chips fall where they may. This interview took place on October 8, 1970. Fifteen months later, on January 7, 1972, John Berryman committed suicide by jumping from the Washington Avenue Bridge in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was 57. In this interview, as on the page, Berryman is bristling with life. ................................................................................. Alphabet CFO Ruth Porat defended Google’s pay practices and talked about Alphabet’s growth strategies on the Code Conference stage. “We are very committed to gender pay equity,” she said, responding to a question about the Labor Department’s accusations that Alphabet subsidiary Google is paying women less than it pays men. She also said Alphabet’s acquisition strategy has focused on filling holes in its cloud efforts and that the Google Home and Nest suite of home devices are staying separate. — Subscribe: https://goo.gl/FRleYo Check out our full video catalog: https://goo.gl/JeqE6e Follow Recode on Twitter: https://goo.gl/n4jVhu Follow Recode on Instagram: https://goo.gl/k8KXjH Read more: http://recode.net/

You're packing your suitcase
You're closing the door
Move on to a new place
Won't see you no more
And the tears fall
From heaven again
I will miss you my old friend
Headed for big sky
Swim with the dolphins
Down in the bay
Out in the sunlight
It's a beautiful day
And we look through kaleidoscope eyes
In the sunrise
Headed for big sky
Later that morning
I stood by your bed
I'll meet you in Venice
That's what you said
And it looks like
Blue skies ahead
So goodbye my friend
Headed for big sky
