RJCD5 is in progress now and for me, it doesn't get much more fun than this jam. **this tune is on my 2nd CD, Disorganized Fun. I named it Guitar Sound.
just havin some fun with a guitar sound (Hard Ramp AS1&2) on the Motif XS8. Some have asked about the "low notes" that come out when I hit those two keys up top - those are guitar effects built in the patch and for whatever reason, Yamaha put those effects on the high keys.
I made the background beat using FL Studio. I start the beat by hitting the space-bar on my computer keyboard before I play on the synth.
PS. I've read some reviews of this vid as if I'm trying to be a "keytar" player (apparently not a desirable thing, but how can you not like Edgar Winter's "Frankenstein") and that I should just play a real guitar. LOL @ some of those same people who probably play guitar hero (nothing against it but hopefully you see my point). The point is, folks, if you find a fun/inspiring sound to jam with, by all means, you should JAM WITH IT! I don't care if you find a $3.00 plastic trumpet. Don't worry about the technicalities and what people say. In the long run it's about the fun that YOU have making music.

THIS IS FUN!!!!! I don't have much done on this beat, but like usual, I thought I would upload the beginnings of it. It's been one of my favorite beats to work on so far. It'll be on my next CD for sure.

FYI: I made the beat using FL Studio (software) and the Yamaha Motif XS8. The patch I'm using is called "Buzz Around". Again, I like this new keyboard, but I discovered I'm not a fan of weighted keys (except for piano stuff). I might trade down to the XS7 eventually.

This is another one in the very early stages, but it's fun to jam with. I messed with it quite a bit before I filmed, but each time it came out drastically different. LOL
I used FL Studio 8 and my Motif XS8 to make this one. The sound I'm using is actually an e-piano (patch is called "Drive EP AS1" on the Motif XS series. I adjusted the distortion and delay to make it sound like it is.

Ronald Jenkees is an American composer and musician, best known for his YouTube keyboard performances. His YouTube videos have been viewed (in total) over 70 million times. Jenkees has thus far released four independent albums: the eponymous album Ronald Jenkees (2007), Disorganized Fun (2009), Days Away (2012) and Alpha Numeric (2014).
Musical career
Jenkees began releasing beats and raps online under the name "Big Cheez" in about 2003. Under this name, he produced the 2005 album Straight Laced by Fish. In 2006, Jenkees started posting funny videos on YouTube, and later began posting music-related videos. These videos usually feature him wearing a hat and greeting his viewers by saying, "Hello Youtubes!". His videos gradually gained popularity, particularly after Bill Simmons from ESPN.com featured Jenkees and asked him to record his podcast theme, and again after being "thumbed up" by members of the StumbleUpon community. In 2007, Jenkees independently released his first studio album, Ronald Jenkees. In June 2009, Jenkees was featured on the STS9 album, Peaceblaster: The New Orleans Make It Right Remixes, producing a remix of "Beyond Right Now". On July 31, 2009, Jenkees released his second album, Disorganized Fun. Both are currently available on physical compact discs or as direct MP3 downloads. He has also recorded a third album, Days Away, which was released in 2012, and a fourth, Alpha Numeric, in (2014).

Disorganized Fun
Disorganized Fun is the second album released by American producer Ronald Jenkees. The album was released independently and is available on Jenkees' website along with his first album, Ronald Jenkees. The album consists of electronic, hip hop based instrumentals (with the exception of "Let's Ride" and "It's Getting Rowdy", which are rapped by Jenkees). It was produced on FL Studio using Korg Triton LE and Yamaha Motif XS8 keyboards.

I messed with it quite a bit before I filmed, but each time it came out drastically different. LOL I used FL Studio 8 and my Motif XS8 to make this one. The sound I'm using is actually an e-piano (patch is called "Drive EP AS1" on the Motif XS series. I adjusted the distortion and delay to make it sound like it is. This is another one in the very early stages, but it's fun to jam with. I messed with it quite a bit before I filmed, but each time it came out drastically different. LOL
I used FL Studio 8 and my Motif XS8 to make this one. The sound I'm using is actually an e-piano (patch is called "Drive EP AS1" on the Motif XS series. I adjusted the distortion and delay to make it sound like it is.

Stay Crunchy By Ronald Jenkees, an awesome tune with such a great feel too it. soo much fun to play! Hope it turned out musical, i tried to focus on the music and the feel while also trying to create some unique ideas. Hey you guys! Randomly bought this, SWEET SONG I really like it. As the wise nonzzero once told me, this song reminds him of Zelda. Anyway. First off, I want to get the fact that I recycled a bunch of people for this particular song haha It seems like EVERYONE had trouble with this song on bass... Oh well Also, I don't think this song has any actual guitar in it, just sayin' First I was doing a guitar sightread (with breakneck speed so I did pretty well, 96% goldstar on my sightrad) but then I messaged Dogmatic and asked him to do it with me and we were getting ready to do it but then Splync shows up! I really like it. As the wise nonzzero once told me, this song reminds him of Zelda. Anyway.
First off, I want to get the fact that I recycled a bunch of people for this particular song haha It seems like EVERYONE had trouble with this song on bass... Oh well
Also, I don't think this song has any actual guitar in it, just sayin'
First I was doing a guitar sightread (with breakneck speed so I did pretty well, 96% goldstar on my sightrad) but then I messaged Dogmatic and asked him to do it with me and we were getting ready to do it but then Splync shows up! So it was us three and then we did the song once
And afterwards I was like "holy smokes i suck, brb practice moed tmie" and then Dogmatic was all like "nah nah nah, I have a gf so that automatically makes me superior to you, ima go play farmville with her" and Splync just vanished so it was just me with a less than stellar performance recorded on video
So I message up Schmegery (who ALWAYS seems to have some kind of female in his party hah) and nothing, and so I basically resorted to begging smokeybluzz to ditch her full band she was with and she actually did it for little ol' elfson! I was stoked. Not so much that she was drunk but whatever. nonzzero happened to join us here so we played a run with us and we did okay, but we only got 3k over the run I did with Dogmatic and Splync, and we WERE going to do it once more but
IT WAS HILARIOUS One of her bandmates came into the room and was all getting pissed off because we stole her and he was legitimately offended she was playing with us and not him, so with the slightly better but still suckish run, it was but nonzzero and I
And then our savior twa556 came and randomly messaged me after a month of complete silence and I was like lolwut and I ran to his house and put him at gunpoint with a rusty hacksaw at his neck and I was like "U BETA BY DIS SHIT MOTHERFUCKER" and so he did and we were playing it and I was like
YAY
And we did two runs. And this is the second run.
It's weird, I think it's twa556 but we had weird overdrive/connection issues. According to the testament of nonzero, he said that twa556 hadn't missed a single note but obviously he did throughout the song. And nonzzero said he only had skipped one overdrive spot a minute from the end of the song and that no other ones came up when obviously one did. But oh well
Anyway, definitely the best run of mine thus far, I'll definitely have an fc of this soon, most likely on my other account.

This part 2 video turned out to be one of those I hate to stop playing/recording. It's not over yet, though. Part 1 and 2 need to be joined and there might be some sort of animation in the works for the finished track. I've also started on my next project and I think it's got video potential, too. I'm getting a lot of use out of this old Korg for RJCD5 and it feels right because it makes me want to jam. Thank you old sounds.

"stay crunchy" - messin with an e-piano sound

I messed with it quite a bit before I filmed, but each time it came out drastically different. LOL I used FL Studio 8 and my Motif XS8 to make this one. The sound I'm using is actually an e-piano (patch is called "Drive EP AS1" on the Motif XS series. I adjusted the distortion and delay to make it sound like it is. **this tune is on my 2nd CD, Disorganized Fun. I named it Guitar Sound.
just havin some fun with a guitar sound (Hard Ramp AS1&2) on the Motif XS8. Some have asked about the "low notes" that come out when I hit those two keys up top - those are guitar effects built in the patch and for whatever reason, Yamaha put those effects on the high keys.
I made the background beat using FL Studio. I start the beat by hitting the space-bar on my computer keyboard before I play on the synth.
PS. I've read some reviews of this vid as if I'm trying to be a "keytar" player (apparently not a desirable thing, but how can you not like Edgar Winter's "Frankenstein") and that I should just play a real guitar. LOL @ some of those same people who probably play guitar hero (nothing against it but hopefully you see my point). The point is, folks, if you find a fun/inspiring sound to jam with, by all means, you should JAM WITH IT! I don't care if you find a $3.00 plastic trumpet. Don't worry about the technicalities and what people say. In the long run it's about the fun that YOU have making music.

FYI: I made the beat using FL Studio (software) and the Yamaha Motif XS8. The patch I'm using is called "Buzz Around". Again, I like this new keyboard, but I discovered I'm not a fan of weighted keys (except for piano stuff). I might trade down to the XS7 eventually.
