The tenth session of the Committee on Innovation, Competitiveness and Public-Private Partnerships of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) took place on 23-25 May at the Palais des Nations in Geneva. During the session, member States discussed about the implementation of the Programme of Work including the work of the Team of Specialists on Innovation and Competitiveness Policies (TOS ICP), Team of Specialists on Public-Private Partnerships (TOS PPP) and the capacity building activities, among a range of agenda items.
High-level Substantive Segment on Public-Private Partnerships and Innovation in Support of Sustainable Development, 23-24 May 2016
During the high-level substantive segment of the session, panellists and delegates discussed how the UNECE’s new, updated guiding principles for good governance in PPPs support the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its focus on people, planet and prosperity; and how innovation policies can contribute to achieving national priorities for sustainable development.
