Shaking the Foundations is the third studio album by the Toronto new-wave band Rough Trade. It was released in 1982 and became a hit in Canada in 1983, spending 21 weeks on the charts, peaking at #9.
The only 7" single release from the album was "Crimes of Passion" b/w "Endless Night", which peaked at #18. Both this and the title track were included on the 10-track 1985 greatest hits album Birds of a Feather: The Best of Rough Trade. along with "All Touch", which was only included on the International release of this album.

'Avoid Freud' is the second album from Canadian New Wave band 'Rough Trade'. Released in 1980, it didn't take long for it to make the top 20. The success came mainly due to it's 2 controversial singles. The first being "What's The Furor About The Führer?" b/w "Fashion Victim" (The latter track became the bigger hit). The albums most famous single however is "Highschool Confidential", which was intensely controversial for its explicitly sexual lyrics, which include references to lesbianism. (A cleaned up version was recorded for Radio, which avoided some of the more controversial lines).
