MY THOUGHTS ON THE GAME:
We edit together game movies for a living, so it's really hard not to be biased toward story heavy games. So anything we say about the game, you should take with that particular grain of salt.
Horizon was definitely a surprise for me. The concept seemed ridiculous to me when it was first revealed. "Robot Dinosaurs? Really???" But like everything else, you shouldn't judge a book by its cover.
In terms of visuals, this is definitely one of the best looking games on this console generation. The world in Horizon Zero Dawn is lush, beautiful, and full of detail. On the PS4 PRO it ran a steady 1080p at 30fps and never felt like it dipped. Guerilla Games makes sure to make the most out of the pretty visuals too, by having a wide variety of locations (desert, jungle, mountains) to explore freely. The open world is huge in this game, and almost feels daunting when you first get to see the full map.
The story is excellent, well paced and engaging. There are a couple mysteries in the game that keep you hooked and keep you wanting to continue just to find out what has happened to Earth. I'm not going to sit here and tell you that it's devoid of some big plot holes but that goes with most video game stories. The story is where the game is the strongest. Guerilla Games did a great job here spreading out all the mysteries and creating some interesting characters you cared about. With that being said, sometimes the lip sync felt slightly off, which would take me out of the immersion. Some of the voice acting was stilted as well. The main characters' voice acting were all great, but some of the side characters sounded like they were reading from a script.
Gameplay-wise, the game is fun and action-packed. Aloy's movements are fluid and you always feel like you have full control over her. It's also nice that they added some platforming type sections where you feel like you're playing Uncharted or Tomb Raider. It's not a huge mechanic in the game, but there are plenty of sections in the story where you have to make an epic getaway, or get up to a high place, and the little parkour element is a nice change of pace. The core fighting mechanic is shooting your arrows. Overall this is fun because you can craft different type of arrows, and unlock stronger bows and spears. It can start to feel repetitive at times. I think the they could have made the hand to hand combat better so it would be more viable to use as a normal tactic. The melee aspect feels to slow to use consistently. But a lot of your combat style depends on how you choose to level up your skill trees. You might be a stealthy player, and level up your stealth abilities first to tailor your gameplay that way.
Overall, this is an early contender for game of the year. It took us a little over 20 hours to beat the main story. As you guys can imagine, we tend to rush things because of the type of content we do. If you took your time and explored more than we did, you could easily double or even triple your playing time on the game. This is definitely a game worth picking up, especially if you're an Action-RPG type of person

My Head
My Head was a grunge/alternative rock power trio from Los Angeles, California, United States formed in 1993 by singer-songwriter and guitarist Adam Siegel and drummer Greg Saenz. Due to its member's past on Excel, My Head's sound was influenced by early 1980s Crossover Thrash music, but also by the growing grunge movement impulsed by bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden. Even after its dissolution My Head recorded three tracks for two different Mike Muir's releases: Pneumonia (EP later included on the album Mas Borracho by Infectious Grooves) and Friends & Family, Vol. 2 by Suicidal Tendencies.

Emma Louise (born July 16, 1993) is an Australian singer-songwriter. She was nominated for the 2011 J Award Unearthed artist of the year, as well as Best Female Artist at the 2013 ARIA Awards. She has also won numerous awards at the Queensland Music Awards. In 2011 she toured in support of Boy & Bear.
In 2013, German DJ/Producer Wankelmut remixed Emma's standout track 'Jungle', a remix of which subsequently reached double platinum status in Italy and Top 30 in Germany. In 2014, American DJ/Producer MK remixed Wankelmut's 'Jungle' remix (released as "My Head Is A Jungle [MK Remix]", of which reached #1 in the iTunes Electronic Charts and #2 in the United Kingdom. Adding to the successes of 2014, international fashion house Yves Saint Laurent used Emma Louise's original 'Jungle' track in their worldwide advertising campaign for Black Opium perfume.
Emma also collaborated with Australian electronic duo Flight Facilities on their breakthrough 2014 track 'Two Bodies', for which Emma wrote and performed as feature artist. 'Two Bodies' placed at #39 on Triple J's 2015 Hot 100 Countdown.

MY THOUGHTS ON THE GAME:
We edit together game movies for a living, so it's really hard not to be biased toward story heavy games. So anything we say about the game, you should take with that particular grain of salt.
Horizon was definitely a surprise for me. The concept seemed ridiculous to me when it was first revealed. "Robot Dinosaurs? Really???" But like everything else, you shouldn't judge a book by its cover.
In terms of visuals, this is definitely one of the best looking games on this console generation. The world in Horizon Zero Dawn is lush, beautiful, and full of detail. On the PS4 PRO it ran a steady 1080p at 30fps and never felt like it dipped. Guerilla Games makes sure to make the most out of the pretty visuals too, by having a wide variety of locations (desert, jungle, mountains) to explore freely. The open world is huge in this game, and almost feels daunting when you first get to see the full map.
The story is excellent, well paced and engaging. There are a couple mysteries in the game that keep you hooked and keep you wanting to continue just to find out what has happened to Earth. I'm not going to sit here and tell you that it's devoid of some big plot holes but that goes with most video game stories. The story is where the game is the strongest. Guerilla Games did a great job here spreading out all the mysteries and creating some interesting characters you cared about. With that being said, sometimes the lip sync felt slightly off, which would take me out of the immersion. Some of the voice acting was stilted as well. The main characters' voice acting were all great, but some of the side characters sounded like they were reading from a script.
Gameplay-wise, the game is fun and action-packed. Aloy's movements are fluid and you always feel like you have full control over her. It's also nice that they added some platforming type sections where you feel like you're playing Uncharted or Tomb Raider. It's not a huge mechanic in the game, but there are plenty of sections in the story where you have to make an epic getaway, or get up to a high place, and the little parkour element is a nice change of pace. The core fighting mechanic is shooting your arrows. Overall this is fun because you can craft different type of arrows, and unlock stronger bows and spears. It can start to feel repetitive at times. I think the they could have made the hand to hand combat better so it would be more viable to use as a normal tactic. The melee aspect feels to slow to use consistently. But a lot of your combat style depends on how you choose to level up your skill trees. You might be a stealthy player, and level up your stealth abilities first to tailor your gameplay that way.
Overall, this is an early contender for game of the year. It took us a little over 20 hours to beat the main story. As you guys can imagine, we tend to rush things because of the type of content we do. If you took your time and explored more than we did, you could easily double or even triple your playing time on the game. This is definitely a game worth picking up, especially if you're an Action-RPG type of person

This project has been over a year long journey, from donating my hair to meeting Kenzie to traveling to Italy all the way to screening the film at numerous film festivals. Winner of a Google Breakthrough in Technology Award, Maria Alvarez’s film “From My Head to Hers” documents the process of creating a Hair Replacement System from Wigs for Kids – from hair donor to recipient and everything in between.
Follow along as we meet Kenzie, who was diagnosed with Alopecia at 9 months old. She has lost all her hair, as Alopecia means the immune system attacks hair follicles, labeling them “invaders.” Kenzie, who loves doing hair but doesn’t have any of her own, has applied for a hairpiece from Wigs for Kids. She’s received a fitting for a custom cap that her wig will be created from and is now waiting for it to be created.
Meanwhile, Maria Alvarez, an aspiring filmmaker, decides to make a difference and document her experience. She cuts off 14 inches of her long locks, and devotes herself to visiting the facility in Italy where her hair will be transformed into a custom hairpiece made just for Kenzie.
Ms. Alvarez’s stunning film delves into the way the hairpiece manufacturer logs Kenzie’s desired hair color and texture, scalp color and other information to get the wig started. The film shows how an exact replica of Kenzie’s skull is created with 3D printing technology, and a biomedical polymer is developed to simulate the scalp. We see how donated ponytails get blended together and then individually inserted by hand to become Kenzie’s new hairpiece. Watch as Kenzie wears her hairpiece for the first time, and as her mom says she recognizes her daughter’s “happy face.”
Google has recognized this film for highlighting the use of technology to solve a problem and make the world a better place while aspiring to promote diversity in technology. Winner of a Google Breakthrough in Technology Award, Maria Alvarez’s film “From My Head to Hers” documents the process of creating a Hair Replacement System from Wigs for Kids – from hair donor to recipient and everything in between.
Follow along as we meet Kenzie, who was diagnosed with Alopecia at 9 months old. She has lost all her hair, as Alopecia means the immune system attacks hair follicles, labeling them “invaders.” Kenzie, who loves doing hair but doesn’t have any of her own, has applied for a hairpiece from Wigs for Kids. She’s received a fitting for a custom cap that her wig will be created from and is now waiting for it to be created.
Meanwhile, Maria Alvarez, an aspiring filmmaker, decides to make a difference and document her experience. She cuts off 14 inches of her long locks, and devotes herself to visiting the facility in Italy where her hair will be transformed into a custom hairpiece made just for Kenzie.
Ms. Alvarez’s stunning film delves into the way the hairpiece manufacturer logs Kenzie’s desired hair color and texture, scalp color and other information to get the wig started. The film shows how an exact replica of Kenzie’s skull is created with 3D printing technology, and a biomedical polymer is developed to simulate the scalp. We see how donated ponytails get blended together and then individually inserted by hand to become Kenzie’s new hairpiece. Watch as Kenzie wears her hairpiece for the first time, and as her mom says she recognizes her daughter’s “happy face.”

When she's experiencing hallucinations, artist Sue Morgan feels compelled to draw; to 'get it out of her head'. Sue was diagnosed with schizophrenia about 20 years ago. The drawing is therapeutic, but it's also Sue's way of expressing the complex and sometimes frightening secret world in her head. In this film Sue meets Sukhi Shergill, a clinician and researcher at the Institute of Psychiatry in London. He's also making pictures, but using MRI to peer inside the brains of schizophrenia patients. 21 Savage sat down with VladTV for an exclusive interview where he detailed being involved in street life in Atlanta, joining the Bloods, getting shot, and being a 2016 XXL Freshman. At the start of the interview the "Red Opps" rapper spoke about being involved in the streets his whole life, but not getting hands-on until he was around fourteen. A few years later he joined the Bloods, but 21 Savage pointed out that he is cool with a lot of Crips, and he doesn't care much for the storied rivalry between the two gangs.
