the pzzelle ron worked. it has some rough spots that catch your fingers but I guess with todays not caring about the product it will pass.

No. Just let it heat for 10 - 15 minutes before use. Also a helpful hint to prevent sticking: Let your batter set out on the counter for 1/2 hour to give time for the sugar to dissolve before use.
