Superman (Christopher Reeve) addresses the United Nations about nuclear arms and then rids the world of them.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Superman (Christopher Reeve) tries to save the world from nuclear destruction at the hands of Lex Luthor (Gene Hackman) in this action film featuring the man of steel. In a speech to the United Nations, Superman declares he will rid the world of all nuclear weapons. Arch-villain Luthor emerges from prison obsessed with killing Superman and creates an adversary known as Nuclear Man (Mark Pillow). The two engage in a fight to the finish in various landmarks on Earth before taking their battle into outer space. When Lois Lane (Margot Kidder) invites both Superman and Clark Kent to a double-date dinner, Superman's powers are tested so that both men can be present. Jackie Cooper plays the gruff veteran newspaper editor Perry White, with Marc McClure as Jimmy Olsen. Sam Wanamaker plays tabloid tycoon David Warfield, the millionaire who buys the Daily Planet. Mariel Hemmingway is Warfield's daughter Lacy, Clark Kent's date at Lois' luxury apartment. This is the least interesting of the four Superman movies starring Christopher Reeve.

Marc McClure
Marc A. McClure (born March 31, 1957) is an American actor.
Career
McClure's best known role was perhaps in the 1978 film Superman, playing photographer Jimmy Olsen. McClure reprised his role as Jimmy Olsen in Superman II,Superman III,Superman IV: The Quest for Peace and in the 1984 movie Supergirl. He is the only actor to appear in the same role in all four Christopher Reeve-era Superman films and Supergirl. Sam Huntington took over the role in Superman Returns.
In a flashback to his Superman days, McClure appeared on the CW's Smallville. McClure appeared as Dax-Ur, a Kryptonian scientist who has been living on Earth for over 100 years.
Besides Jimmy Olsen, McClure's other well known role is in the 1985 hit film Back to the Future as Dave McFly. He reprised his role in Back to the Future Part II (though his only scene was not included in the theatrical version) and Back to the Future Part III. In addition, McClure appeared in the 1976 film Freaky Friday and the 2003 remake. He was also in the 1977 BYU church video The Phone Call as Scott who worked at Ripples Drive-In. He also starred in the 1978 film I Wanna Hold Your Hand and the 1980 film Used Cars alongside Back to the Future co-star Wendie Jo Sperber. Both of these films were also directed by Robert Zemeckis and written by Zemeckis and Bob Gale who created Back to the Future.

Jimmy Olsen
James Bartholomew "Jimmy" Olsen is a fictional character who appears mainly in DC Comics’ Superman stories. Olsen is a young photojournalist working for the Daily Planet. He is close friends with Lois Lane and Clark Kent/Superman, and has a good working relationship with his boss Perry White. Olsen looks up to his coworkers as role models and parent figures.
Fictional character profile
Jimmy is traditionally depicted as a bow tie-wearing, red-haired young man who works as a cub reporter and photographer for The Daily Planet, alongside Lois Lane and Clark Kent, whom he idolizes as career role models. In most depictions of the character, he has a strong friendship with Superman. As Superman's friend, Jimmy has special access to the Man of Steel, thanks to Superman's gift to Jimmy of a "signal watch," a wristwatch which, with the press of a button, emits a special ultrasonic frequency signal that Superman can hear anywhere on Earth. (In Post-Crisis continuity Jimmy invented the watch himself, and Superman briefly considered confiscating it. In New Earth continuity, the watch was designed by Superman based on a larger signaling device Jimmy created.)

Christopher Reeve
Christopher D'Olier Reeve (September 25, 1952 – October 10, 2004) was an American actor, film director, producer, screenwriter, author, and activist. He achieved stardom for his acting achievements, in particular his motion picture portrayal of the comic book superhero Superman.
Reeve appeared in other critically acclaimed films such as Street Smart (1987) and The Remains of the Day (1993). He received a Golden Globe nomination for his performance in the television remake of Rear Window (1998).
On May 27, 1995, Reeve became a quadriplegic after being thrown from a horse during an equestrian competition in Culpeper, Virginia. He required a wheelchair and a portable ventilator for the rest of his life. He lobbied on behalf of people with spinal-cord injuries and for human embryonic stem cell research, founding the Christopher Reeve Foundation and co-founding the Reeve-Irvine Research Center.
In October 2004, Reeve died suddenly of cardiac arrest at 52 while co-directing Everyone's Hero.

Superman (Christopher Reeve) addresses the United Nations about nuclear arms and then rids the world of them.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Superman (Christopher Reeve) tries to save the world from nuclear destruction at the hands of Lex Luthor (Gene Hackman) in this action film featuring the man of steel. In a speech to the United Nations, Superman declares he will rid the world of all nuclear weapons. Arch-villain Luthor emerges from prison obsessed with killing Superman and creates an adversary known as Nuclear Man (Mark Pillow). The two engage in a fight to the finish in various landmarks on Earth before taking their battle into outer space. When Lois Lane (Margot Kidder) invites both Superman and Clark Kent to a double-date dinner, Superman's powers are tested so that both men can be present. Jackie Cooper plays the gruff veteran newspaper editor Perry White, with Marc McClure as Jimmy Olsen. Sam Wanamaker plays tabloid tycoon David Warfield, the millionaire who buys the Daily Planet. Mariel Hemmingway is Warfield's daughter Lacy, Clark Kent's date at Lois' luxury apartment. This is the least interesting of the four Superman movies starring Christopher Reeve.

Franklin County Sheriff's detectives arrested a woman Thursday they say is responsible for dumping the dead body of a woman overdose victim a day earlier in Franklin Township.Erica Renee Escuadra, 37, of the Far West Side, is charged with abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence, said Marc Gofstein, a spokesman with the sheriff's office.The body of Jacqueline Powers, 45, was discovered with a blanket over it at 1.42 p.m ... ....
