Scars & Souvenirs

Scars & Souvenirs is the third album by Canadian rock band Theory of a Deadman, and was released on April 1, 2008. It has so far been the band's most successful album to date and has spawned many hit singles. A special edition CD/DVD of the album was released on October 20, 2009. It features bonus and acoustic previously unreleased tracks (some were actually released on the iTunes version of the album), the band's entire video catalog, and numerous making-of and behind-the-scenes features. Bonus video includes "Haciendas," Tyler's special send-up of MTV's Cribs.

Title significance

The title of the album comes from a line in the song "By the Way". The title refers to the "scars and souvenirs," or the ups and downs of one's lifetime, as a large majority of the songs on the album deal with things like relationships and obstacles that one might encounter during his or her life.

Singles

The first single from it, "So Happy" was released to radio on February 11 and can be listened to on their MySpace page while "By the Way" and "Bad Girlfriend" were released on the band's official website on March 10, 2008. "All or Nothing" was released on June 2 as a single for adult and Hot AC radio. Robin Diaz (Closure; Trapt; Daughtry), Chris Daughtry (Daughtry), and Brent Smith (Shinedown) are guest stars on the album. The band confirmed on May 14, 2008 that the next single to be released in the US and Canada was "Bad Girlfriend", on rock stations only. As of September 6, 2008, "Bad Girlfriend" is Theory of a Deadman's first single to reach number 1 on the Mainstream Rock Chart.

Jim Rohn

Emanuel James "Jim" Rohn (September 17, 1930 – December 5, 2009) was an American entrepreneur, author and motivational speaker. His rags to riches story played a large part in his work, which influenced others in the personal development industry.

Early life

Emanuel James "Jim" Rohn was born in Yakima, Washington, to Emanuel and Clara Rohn. The Rohns owned and worked a farm in Caldwell, Idaho, where Jim grew up as an only child.

Career

Rohn started his professional life by working as a stock clerk for department store Sears. Around this time, a friend invited him to a lecture given by entrepreneur John Earl Shoaff. In 1955, Rohn joined Shoaff's direct selling business AbundaVita as a distributor.

In 1957, Rohn resigned his distributorship with AbundaVita and joined Nutri-Bio, another direct selling company. It was at this point that the company's founders, including Shoaff, started to mentor him. After this mentorship, Rohn built one of the largest organizations in the company. In 1960 when Nutri-Bio expanded into Canada, Shoaff and the other founders selected Rohn as a vice president for the organization.

"Live Your Dream" is the first single taken from beFour's third studio album We Stand United, in Germany, Austria and Switzerland . As of March 28, the song has officially entered the German Singles Chart. The Song was the theme song of the German release of the movie Horton hears a Who

Dream

Dreams are successions of images, ideas, emotions, and sensations that occur usually involuntarily in the mind during certain stages of sleep. The content and purpose of dreams are not definitively understood, though they have been a topic of scientific speculation, as well as a subject of philosophical and religious interest, throughout recorded history. The scientific study of dreams is called oneirology.

Dreams mainly occur in the rapid-eye movement (REM) stage of sleep—when brain activity is high and resembles that of being awake. REM sleep is revealed by continuous movements of the eyes during sleep. At times, dreams may occur during other stages of sleep. However, these dreams tend to be much less vivid or memorable.

The length of a dream can vary; they may last for a few seconds, or approximately 20–30 minutes. People are more likely to remember the dream if they are awakened during the REM phase. The average person has three to five dreams per night, and some may have up to seven; however, most dreams are immediately or quickly forgotten. Dreams tend to last longer as the night progresses. During a full eight-hour night sleep, most dreams occur in the typical two hours of REM.

Dream Life

Dream Life is a role playing game with its own console targeted at girls ages 8–14 created by Hasbro. It is a game where players create girls, ranging from hair to clothes. They can also determine how smart, funny, athletic, creative or outgoing the girl is.

Premise

In the game, players may buy clothes, make their best friend (which also has to be a girl) exactly the same way they made their character. They can sign up for various activities and win trophies. They have to go to school and if the character gets good grades, she can get things for her room like a TV or phone. She can get a makeover (which is a choice of hair style, hair color and makeup), develop a crush (and maybe dance with him at a party). She can interact with other people created by the makers of the game at the stations where you can do everything. She can also earn money by doing chores in your house, particularly the kitchen. Another way to earn money is to get a job, located at their school.

There's a counter set in the bottom left corner of the TV screen. The characters always wake up at 7:00 and can use the various activities until the moon rises up to the top middle of the counter (about 10:00). But if there's time left to do one more activity, it doesn't have to be that short, as the moon can go out as far as needed, but only once. The Game starts out in the fall.
