Barry Knapp Bostwick (born February 24, 1945) is an American stage and screen actor. He is known for playing Brad Majors in The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975). He replaced Peter Scolari as Mr. Tyler in the sitcom What I Like About You, as well as portraying Mayor Randall Winston in the sitcom Spin City and the father of the President in the TV series Scandal. Bostwick has also had considerable success in musical theater.
Bostwick was born in San Mateo, California. He is the son of Elizabeth "Betty" (née Defendorf), a housewife, and Henry "Bud" Bostwick, a city planner and actor. His only sibling, Henry "Pete" Bostwick, was killed in a car accident on July 20, 1973. Bostwick attended San Diego's United States International University in 1967, majoring in acting, got his start on the Hillbarn Theatre stage now located in Foster City, and worked for a time as a circus performer. He also attended NYU's Graduate Acting Program, graduating in 1968.
In 1970, Bostwick was a member of a pop group called The Klowns, assembled and promoted by Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, whose members performed wearing stylized clown makeup and costumes. Their sole album, released in 1970, was produced by Jeff Barry, and generated a minor Billboard hit single, "Lady Love".

It’s a great pleasure to present Part 1 of this Benny Hill interview from 1974, soon after his 50th birthday, recorded in Sydney Australia with local radio personality Bob Rogers, who still presents a music show today at age 88. Benny was in Australia at the time to promote The Best Of Benny Hill movie and visit relatives of all things, if alive now Benny would be a very old man indeed. It is said Benny Hill did not give many interviews in his lifetime, an online search revealed one 90 sec interview from 1956 and there must be hidden archive interviews at least in the BBC or even Thames /Freemantle Media but it would appear that Benny Hill’s name is still mud in showbiz terms, as the legacy of his career estate and his television work is not actively being promoted or acknowledged, yet ...

Hey Janet
Yes Brad?
I've got something to say.
I really loved the skilful way
You beat the other girls to the bride's bouquet!
The river was deep but I swam it, Janet
The future is ours so let's plan it, Janet
So please don't tell me to can it, Janet
I've one thing to say and that's
Dammit, Janet, I love you
The road was long but i ran it, Janet
There's a fire in my heart and you fan it, Janet
If there's one fool for you then I am it, Janet
Now I've one thing to say and that's
Dammit, Janet, I love you
Here's a ring to prove that I'm no joker
There's three ways that love can grow
That's good, bad or mediocre
Oh J-A-N-E-T I love you so
Oh it's nicer than Betty Munroe had, oh Brad
Now we're engaged and I'm so glad, oh Brad
That you've met Mum and you know Dad, oh Brad
I've one thing to say and that's
Brad I'm mad for you too
Oh Brad,
Oh, dammit!
I'm mad,
Oh Janet!
For you,
I love you too
There's one thing left to do, and that's
Go see the man who began it, Janet
When we met in his science exam-it, Janet
Made me give you the eye and then panic,
Janet
There's one thing to say and that's
Dammit, Janet, I love you
Dammit Janet
Oh brad, I'm mad
Dammit Janet;
I love you!
