The Bryant Electric Company was a manufacturer of wiring devices, electrical components, and switches founded in 1888 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, United States. It grew to become for a time both the world's largest plant devoted to the manufacture of wiring devices and Bridgeport's largest employer and was involved in a number of notable strikes before being closed in 1988 and having its remaining interests sold to Hubbell in 1991.
Bryant was founded by Waldo Calvin Bryant in 1888 (incorporated 1889) in Bridgeport, Connecticut, with seven employees working in a loft on John Street in Bridgeport. Waldo Bryant and others at Bryant invented and patented a number of switch and electrical component designs, including "the first push-pull switch". Although responsible for more than 500 patents by 1935, Bryant's most significant contribution to the wiring devices industry was the idea of standardization. For example, in 1888 there were eight different types of electrical light bases. Bryant led the industry to accept standardized devices.
The Electric Company is an American educational children's television series that was directed by Bob Schwartz, Henry Behar (1972–75) and John Tracy (1975–76), written by Christopher Cerf (1971–73), Jeremy Steven (1972–74) and John Boni/Amy Ephron (1972–73) and produced by the Children's Television Workshop (now called Sesame Workshop) for PBS in the United States. PBS broadcast 780 episodes over the course of its six seasons from October 25, 1971, to April 15, 1977. (In many areas, a preview special, Here Comes The Electric Company (pilot episode), was seen in syndication through sponsor Johnson Wax on many local commercial stations during the week before its 1971 debut.) After it ceased production in 1977, the program continued in reruns until 1985, as the result of a decision made in 1975 to produce two final seasons for perpetual use. The Workshop produced the show at Second Stage, located within the Reeves Teletape Studios (Teletape), in Manhattan, the first home of Sesame Street.
Kidd Pivot (known from 2010 to 2012 as Kidd Pivot Frankfurt RM), is a contemporary dance company based in Vancouver, Canada. The company, currently comprising eight full-time dancers and several guest dancers, is led by its founder and artistic director, Crystal Pite.
Kidd Pivot was founded in 2002 by Canadian dancer and choreographer, Crystal Pite. The company's first full-length piece, Uncollected Work (2003), features Pite and fellow Canadian dancer Cori Caulfield in two sections: Farther Out and Field: Fiction. Inspired by Annie Dillard's The Writing Life, Pite explores the artist's creative process in this work.
The company's subsequent piece, Double Story (2004), co-created with Richard Siegal, "integrate[s] text, puppets, and goofy masks," foreshadowing the puppetry that features in Pite's later work.
In 2006, Kidd Pivot received the Rio Tinto Alcan Performing Arts Award (Dance), a $60,000 award that resulted in the creation of Lost Action: seven dancers, including Pite herself, performing on the themes of war, love, and loss. Kaija Pepper of The Dance Current says the following about the piece: "Lost Action, however it is understood or experienced by the crowds that filled the theatre (the last four performances were sold out), is a major work of art."

Craig Bryant, owner of Bryant Electric, gives his two cents about the work of Geek Powered Studios and their SEO/Marketing services. VIDEO TRANSCRIPTION: Hi, my name is Craig Bryant and I'm the owner of Bryant Electric Service. We've been in business just under 30 years in Austin. We averaged probably five to ten calls a week. Now we average 8 to 15 calls a day. Their professionalism was, by far, greater than the previous SEO company that I used and their passion to make my company the number one internet listing is really the biggest and most important thing that affected my choice in picking them.

Every track has a train
Every sink has a drain
Every cloud has some rain
And everyone has a pain
Chorus:
So what do you really gain
It makes no sense to complain
From purple mountain to the fruited plain
Everyone has pain
Every boat has a chain
Every bib has a stain
Every globe has a Spain
And everyone has a pain
Repeat Chorus twice
Everyone has pain
Everyone has pain
