Joseph Murray "Joe" Cornish (born 20 December 1968) is an English comedian, television and radio presenter, film director, writer and actor, who together with his long-time comedy partner, Adam Buxton, forms the comedy duo Adam and Joe. In 2011, Cornish released his directorial debut Attack the Block. He has also co-written The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn, with Steven Moffat and Edgar Wright, and Ant-Man, with Wright, Adam McKay and Paul Rudd.
Cornish was educated at the independent Westminster School in central London, where he became friends with both Adam Buxton and Louis Theroux. He went on to study at the Bournemouth Film School.
The Adam and Joe Show was an ironic pop culture sketch show written, presented and directed by the duo. The show found cult success during its four series between 1996 and 2001. The best-known segments featured hit feature films recreated with stuffed toys, British television shows parodied using Star Wars action figures, and Vinyl Justice, in which the pair invaded rock stars' homes and searched their record collections for embarrassing records.

The latest in our Masters series features landscape photographer Joe Cornish discussing three of his images with Xposure Editor Ailsa McWhinnie. They discuss three images that represent quite different challenges; from technically controlling the light for large-format film, conceptually shooting Yosemite in the shadow of Ansel Adams, and physically responding to nature - quickly - as unexpected compositions reveal themselves. Originally trained as a fine artist, Joe then served his photographic apprenticeship as a commercial assistant before having his landscape worked recognised by the National Trust and many subsequent landscape and travel commissions. Since 1993 Joe has lived close to the North York Moors and focused on landscape photography that reflects his love of nature and inspi...

Edgar Wright, Joe Cornish and Steven Moffat are much-loved by their fans (including us here at Empire), so when we got the chance to interview them for The Adventures Of Tintin, we freaked out a bit. Then produced this funny, if slightly odd, video interview. http://www.empireonline.com/interviews/interview.asp?IID=1372 Want to keep up to date with everything going on in the world of film? Moved from older YT channel " This was the first real public interview Joe gave after he put the theatrical version of Attack the Block to bed. Uncomfortably positioned between the two hosts, his inherent good manners made him bounce back and forth like Sam Bell's ping-pong ball. Subscribe to our channel: http://bit.ly/EmpireSub Joe Cornish (of Adam And Joe fame) has gone and made himself a movie. Bringing together a cast that includes old pal Nick Frost, new pals Jodie Whittaker and Luke Treadaway, and five ever-so-talented newcomers in the form of John Boyega (Moses), Franz Drameh (Dennis), Alex Esmail (Pest), Leeon Jones (Jerome) and Simon Howard (Biggz), it's been billed as 'inner city vs. outer space' as a gang of South London hoodies are the last line of defence for a tower block that's been attacked by hairy, vicious, bloodthirsty aliens. Sitting down with them all, we got to chatting about a sequel, dance troupes, and what exactly we're supposed to call those "big alien gorilla wolf motherfuckers" in polite company... http://www.empireonline.com/interviews...

After 6 months, it was time to do an update on what's in my camera bag. I've changed a few things out, some more notable than others like the tripods but some stuff is still the same. One thing to note in this video is I go through ALL of the gear I own. Not just what I bring with me to a shoot. Including the bags that I use to store and transport my gear when going to a location & traveling. Also, some stuff, like my 70-200mm, I've owned for a while but never showed it in my previous camera bag video as it wasn't in my "everyday" shoot bag. Love letters straight from your heart,
Keep us so near while apart.
I'm not alone in the night,
When I can have all the love you write . . .
I memorize every line,
I kiss the name that you sign.
And darling, then I read again right from the start,
Love letters straight from your heart . . .
I kiss the name that you sign.
And darling, then I read again right from the start,
Love letters straight from your heart . . .
