Harbin ( [Listen]) is the capital and largest city of Heilongjiang province, China. Holding sub-provincial administrative status, Harbin has direct jurisdiction over nine metropolitan districts, two county-level cities and seven counties. Harbin is the eighth most populous Chinese city and the most populous city in Northeast China. According to the 2010 census, the built-up area made of seven out of nine urban districts (all but Shuangcheng and Acheng not urbanized yet) had 5,282,093 inhabitants, while the total population of the sub-provincial city was up to 10,635,971. Harbin serves as a key political, economic, scientific, cultural and communications hub in Northeast China, as well as an important industrial base of the nation.
Harbin, which was originally a Manchu word meaning "a place for drying fishing nets", grew from a small rural settlement on the Songhua River to become one of the largest cities in Northeast China. Founded in 1898 with the coming of the Chinese Eastern Railway, the city first prospered as a region inhabited by an overwhelming majority of the immigrants from the Russian Empire.
2 Days & 1 Night (Hangul: 1박 2일; also known as 1 Night 2 Days; abbreviated as 1N2D) is a South Korean reality-variety show that airs on KBS2 beginning August 5, 2007. 1 Night 2 Days is one of the two segments (the other segment is The Return of Superman) on Happy Sunday, airing at 4:50pm KST once a week. The episodes are also uploaded with English subtitles weekly on Youtube through KBS's official channel. The show's current cast members are Kim Jong-min, Cha Tae-hyun, Kim Joon-ho, Defconn and Jung Joon-young. Yu Ho-jin is the current director of season 3. The show's motto is "Real Wild Road Variety." Its main concept is to recommend various places of interest that viewers can visit in South Korea. Filming for every new trip is usually done 2 weeks prior to broadcast on KBS2.
1 Night 2 Days has gained much popularity and has garnered high viewer ratings. Along with The Return of Superman, the show's third season helped revive and maintain KBS2 Happy Sunday ratings, beating out competition from other major networks since its first episode.
Throwbacks is the final album recorded by Nat & Alex Wolff under the name "The Naked Brothers Band" and the soundtrack to the third and final season of the show of the same name. Under the working title "Songs of Season 3," due to post-production problems, it was originally cancelled, until it was announced on September 19, 2013 to be released as a Nat & Alex Wolff album instead of a Naked Brothers Band album on October 15, 2013, under the title Throwbacks. One song that was recorded for the intended Season 3 soundtrack, "Face in the Hall", which later appeared in the iCarly soundtrack, will not be in the Throwbacks album.
Nat Wolff developed a lot while writing the soundtrack. He had developed a lot as a song[-writer] since the band's second album, which was released earlier the same year. Many songs from the album had a sense that the writer(s) were inspired by old artists, such as the track "The World (As We Know It Today)" was a modern version of Billy Joel's song We Didn't Start the Fire. The song "Yes We Can" (which features Natasha Bedingfield and Leon Thomas III) was inspired by the presidency of Barack Obama.

The fast train can get from Shenyang to Harbin in just three hours. We decided to stay just one night because we knew it would be much colder in Harbin. Fortunately, an overnight trip allows plenty of time to see both festivals, which are in locations about 3 km apart. We were advised to see the snow festival - ironically located at Sun Island - during the day then head over to the ice festival at night. This was sound advice, which we followed. It should be noted that the snow festival is also worth seeing after sundown; it also utilizes mood lighting to highlight the snow sculptures. But we p...

The city government of Harbin, China put together a video to promote the town for tourism and economic development. The city's website's server is wretchedly slow, so I downloaded the video outright, and am reposting it here. Harbin City Government, China

The city of Harbin in China has one super cool twist: its proximity to Russia adds a ton of Russian flavor that makes the city so unique in China. We take to one of the city's most famous icons, the St. Sophia Church, which is the largest Eastern Orthodox Church in Asia (outside of Russia). Travel video about destination China. China’s Imperial City is located in the centre of its ancient Middle Kingdom, a gigantic and inscrutable empire beyond the Great Wall. The Imperial City is entered through the Gates of Heavenly Peace. After seven years of construction, Ming Emperor Zhu Di moved into his newly-established palace complex in which over eight thousand people lived in almost a thousand rooms. The palace served as both a residential and governmental seat to the emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. A stone’s throw away from the old Summer Palace is the Garden of Harmonious Unity that was the favourite garden of the Emperor’s household who retreated to its cool lakeside shores during the humid months of summer. This will take some explaining but I think you will agree
There is no use pretending that there's hope for you and me
And I love her, but do you think she can see
When I tell her, it's the end for you and me
It was over, ever since you went and shot me
Like a harpoon
Like a harpoon
Like a harpoon in my heart....
Like a harpoon
Like a harpoon in my heart
Yeah
I can handle the fighting, it's the affection I can't stand
And I don't mind us talking, just don't try and touch my hand
When you left I didn't want you back
But now your gone so won't you come right back
Come right back
Why does it hurt
Simple matters don't seem worth
