28 mm film was introduced by the Pathé Film Company in 1912 under the name Pathé Kok. Geared toward the home market, 28 mm utilized diacetate film stock rather than the flammable nitrate commonly used in 35 mm. The film gauge was deliberately chosen such that it would be uneconomical to slit 35 mm nitrate film.
Pathé in France and later Victor in the USA printed reduction prints (usually, although not always, abridged) of popular films for home rental, designed to be used in Pathéscope Cinematograph or Victor Animatograph projectors. World War I stopped European production of 28 mm. It continued in North America until 1920 before ceasing entirely. Shortly after, 9.5 mm and 16 mm would take the amateur film gauge role 28 mm had once filled.

Which focal length should you get for street photography - 28mm, 35mm or 50mm? Is the 50mm classic for a reason? Is the 28mm too wide? Or is the 35mm the perfect street lens? We take a look at Nikon's latest 28(http://bit.ly/28mmNikkor), which is an AF-S lens. Nikon shooters haven't exactly been spoilt for choice with 28mm primes, so this is good news, right? Kai takes a look at it on the streets of Hong Kong. Featuring a MS Optical Perar Super Triplet (mainly for Leica Porn purposes). REVIEWING TODAY! There's some interest in the Canon 28mm f/1.8 lens, especially as it's a potentially nice, leave-on-your-camera fast standard lens for APS-C cameras. Some people really like it, although it seems to have mixed reviews on the internet. I wonder if this little beast can kick some ass as I put it through a few tests. Find this lens on Amazon: http://amzn.to/2lmMxBe In this video I review the Meike 28mm F2.8 Pancake Lens For Sony E-Mount. For around $82, it is a good budget option for a small 28mm lens. I wish the manual focus was easier and it was an F2 lens, but you cant expect everything for nothing. The Vivitar 28mm F1.9 was sold in the 70's for 1000$... i bought it for 20! this lens is pretty hard to find but it's a fantastic piece. I took it with me on a trip to Sweden for a review, and i really liked the results. At f1.9 it's the fastest 28mm wide angle lens ever made, the only other brand to have produced an equivalent was the Voigtländer Ultron 28mm f/1.9 that costed way more thant this one. having the possibility to open the diaphragm so wide make shooting in low light and creating environmental portraits a pleasure. I paid 20 euros for it but price can be higher right now as it's a rare lens. I looked at faith
I almost walked away
But I looked again
I found the nerve to close my eyes and say the words
To ask you in
And I heard no heavenly choir
No angels in whit attire
i got no amazing super hum omnipresent pow but....
CHORUS
I know You now
I know You now
I know You're in my heart
I know You now
Beyond the shadow of a doubt
I know You now
I look at peace, that once was out of reach
And now it's here
i read Your word that some believe is so absurd
But I hold dear, yea
'Cause You loved me with your dying breath
You saved me when You conquered death
