Fridge stolen in one of two vandalism sprees at Canberra railway station

Cars have been found vandalised at the Canberra Railway Station carpark in Kingston twice in one week.

ACT police are investigating a number of car break-ins at the Bourke Crescent carpark on Monday night and Tuesday morning, including a fridge stolen from a camper van.

Officer in charge of Woden, Sergeant Harry Hains, said police responded to a report received at 11.20pm on Tuesday to find seven cars damaged.

"One of the items stolen was a fridge from a camper van," Sergeant Harry Hains said.

"Police investigations are ongoing."

On Thursday, at least three more cars were found with smashed windows in the same car park.

ACT Policing did not confirm whether they are investigating the second spree.

Police urge anyone who witnessed the break-ins, or any suspicious activity in the Canberra Railway Station carpark, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
