Follow the Leader is the third studio album by the American nu metal band Korn. The album was released on August 18, 1998, through Immortal/Epic. This was their first album not produced by Ross Robinson. Instead, it was produced by Steve Thompson and Toby Wright.
The album peaked at number one on four charts, including the Billboard 200 with 268,000 units sold in its first week of release, and is often credited with bringing alternative metal to the mainstream. The album received a 5× Platinum certification in the United States on March 15, 2002 as well as a 3× Platinum in Australia and Canada. Its singles "Got the Life", and "Freak on a Leash", both charted on more than three charts, and their music videos are considered to be the first music videos retired from MTV, most notably the MTV show "Total Request Live". The album generally received positive reviews by critics. Korn was praised by AllMusic saying the album is "an effective follow-up to their first two alt-metal landmarks."
Korn (stylized as KoЯn) is an American nu metal band from Bakersfield, California, formed in 1993. The band's current lineup includes founding members Jonathan Davis (vocals, bagpipes), James "Munky" Shaffer (guitar), Brian "Head" Welch (guitar, backing vocals), and Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu (bass), with the addition of Ray Luzier (drums), who replaced the band's original member, David Silveria in 2007. Korn was originally formed by three of the members of the band L.A.P.D.
Korn released their first demo album, Neidermayer's Mind, in 1993. The band later went on to release their self-titled debut album in 1994, followed by Life Is Peachy in 1996. The band experienced mainstream success with Follow the Leader (1998) and Issues (1999), both of which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. The band's mainstream success continued with Untouchables (2002), Take a Look in the Mirror (2003) and See You on the Other Side (2005).
A compilation album, Greatest Hits Vol. 1, was released in 2004, spanning a decade of singles and concluding the band's recording contract with Immortal Records and Epic Records. They signed to Virgin Records, releasing See You on the Other Side in 2005, and an untitled album in 2007. Korn's other recent albums, Korn III: Remember Who You Are (2010) and The Path of Totality (2011), were released via Roadrunner Records, with the latest album The Paradigm Shift (2013) being released via Prospect Park and Caroline Records.
"Make Me Bad" is a song written and recorded by American nu metal band Korn for their fourth studio album, Issues. Many Korn fans interpret the lyrics to be about frontman Jonathan Davis' getting tired of drinking and drug abuse and his decision to get sober a year prior to Issues coming out. It was released as the album's second single in February 2000, enjoying major success on US rock radio stations and in the United Kingdom. The Alien-inspired music video is one of the most expensive videos Korn have ever filmed, and features actors Brigitte Nielsen, Udo Kier, Tatjana Patitz and Shannyn Sossamon. An acoustic medley of "Make Me Bad" and The Cure's "In Between Days" was performed with The Cure for the MTV Unplugged series in December 2006.
The video was directed by Martin Weisz, and features actresses Brigitte Nielsen, Tatjana Patitz, Shannyn Sossamon, and actor Udo Kier. Brigitte and Udo would play villains in the 2000 film, Doomsdayer. It received its world premiere in February 2000 on the short-lived USA Network music show Farmclub, alongside Limp Bizkit's video for their single, "Break Stuff". Both groups made a guest appearance to introduce their respective videos. "Make Me Bad" gained heavy airplay on MTV and MTV2 at the time of its release. Towards the end of the video, the song "Dead", also from Issues, is heard in the background. "Make Me Bad" spent sixty-five days on MTV's Total Request Live, becoming Korn's fourth and final "retired" video on June 8, 2000.
"Freak On" is a song performed by Swedish DJ StoneBridge and American recording artist Ultra Naté. Co-written by Gerry DeVeaux, Sten Hallström and Ultra Naté, the song was released as the fourth single from StoneBridge's album Can't Get Enough and as the lead single from Ultra Naté's fifth studio album Grime, Silk, & Thunder.
"Make Me" is a song by American singer-songwriter Janet Jackson included on her second greatest hits compilation Number Ones (2009). The song was written by Jackson, Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins, Thomas Lumpkins, and Michaela Shiloh. Initially presented as an audio stream to those who joined her web site's official mailing list in September 2009, it was released via digital download later that month, on September 22, 2009, as the lead and only single from Number Ones by A&M Records.
"Make Me" features an up-tempo disco beat and lyrical hook reminiscent of her material from the 1980s. The song received critical praise, with music critics comparing the song favorably to her hit "All for You" (2001) and her brother Michael Jackson's 1979 number one single "Don't Stop 'til You Get Enough", both of which carry a distinct disco beat. It became her 19th number one hit single on the Billboard's Hot Dance Club Songs chart, and made her the first artist to earn number one singles on the chart across four decades. The song's music video, directed by Robert Hales, was shot entirely in black and white, and it received positive critical reception for its vintage aesthetic.

I should have known it from the start what I was in for
She break a tin full, she copied, we exchanged some info
Called her on the tele, conversations were simple
Ain't playin' games, my game, retain the tempo
And things, no shame, two sparks turned into flames
Nimpho's in the park, just dancin' in the rain
Hook me with this fix and look to drain my aim
Some never retain what wouldn't suck from your veins
So baby, I ask you
What do you want from me?
So baby, I ask you
What do you want from me?
So baby, I ask you
What do you want from me?
So baby, I ask you
What do you want from me?
So baby, I ask you
What do you want from me?
So baby, I ask you
What do you want from me?
So baby, I ask you
What do you want from me?
So baby, I ask you
What do you want from me?
You see this time, I cannot ever love another, cunt
You'll drink as slow, love twice and you'll get fucked
You see this time, I cannot ever love another, cunt
You'll drink as slow, love twice and you'll get fucked
Rest us, rest us from the pain, if I ask
Ashamed 'cause a game keep playin' me wrong
Promise not to ever sing a damn 'nother song
Until I realize who the fuck I am
A man out of sync with his own program
Trying to find some kind of inner link
A man out of sync with his own program
Trying to find some kind of inner link
So baby, I ask you
What do you want from me?
So baby, I ask you
What do you want from me?
So baby, I ask you
What do you want from me?
So baby, I ask you
What do you want from me?
You see this time, I cannot ever love another, cunt
You'll drink as slow, love twice and you'll get fucked
You see this time, I cannot ever love another, cunt
You'll drink as slow, love twice and you'll get fucked
Ah, yeah
She's the epitome of sweet misery
The sweeter the stroke, the deeper the pain given
There's an angel, angle sex-driven
Dangerous sex kitten, warm as a mitten
Fittin' like a glove with abstract relations
Testin' all my patience, push comes to shove
Emotional masturbation, fuckin' with my love
Fuckin' with my life, fuckin' all the above
You see this time, I cannot ever love another, cunt
You'll drink as slow, love twice and you'll get fucked
You see this time, I cannot ever love another, cunt
You'll drink as slow, love twice and you'll get fucked
You see this time, I cannot ever love another, cunt
You'll drink as slow, love twice and you'll get fucked
