CARTOGRAFIA CRÍTICA DA ARQUITECTURA CONTEMPORÊNEA PELO TERRITÓRIO PORTUGUÊS
O projecto «Pontos de Referência» propõe uma cartografia crítica da arquitectura contemporânea pelo território português. Através de um conjunto de obras seleccionadas, o projecto apresenta três abordagens curatoriais segundo uma estratégia de divulgação cultural onde a arquitectura constitui um instrumento activo de compreensão e actuação no território. Nesse sentido, o projecto contribui para a construção dinâmica de um mapeamento da arquitectura portuguesa contemporânea, com base num arquivo em aberto de obras de referência integradas num contexto territorial e paisagístico específico, de acordo com uma leitura da sua realidade económica, social e cultural.

A linha desenhada no norte de Portugal, a partir de seis pontos de referência distribuídos ao longo do rio Douro, desde a fronteira até à foz, deve ser entendida numa estratégia de leitura de um território profundamente transformado pela indústria vinícola. Deve, também, ser entendida a partir da decisão da Unesco em classificar o centro histórico do Porto, em 1996, e o Alto Douro Vinhateiro, em 2001, classificações que tiveram profundas implicações no ecossistema económico do vale do Douro. A partir deste novo enquadramento, na definição de um produto turístico-cultural, a região do Douro começou a receber investimentos na área da hotelaria, na requalificação das adegas ou na construção de equipamentos culturais. Perante os novos desafios colocados à região, a arquitectura portuguesa contemporânea assumiu um papel importante na articulação entre o território, os novos programas e a construção de uma nova identidade.

A construção progressiva da rede de auto-estradas transformou Portugal desde a adesão à CEE em 1986. O investimento na infra-estruturação viária manifestava essa tentativa de aproximar os grandes pólos urbanos do litoral a um interior em desenvolvimento. Entre um reforço da concentração das áreas metropolitanas e um crescimento significativo das cidades regionais, permanece a promessa de um equilíbrio entre lógicas de centralização e descentralização. A arquitectura portuguesa contemporânea está intimamente ligada a este dilema, tendo os arquitectos contribuído com a construção de importantes equipamentos por todo o território nacional. Do centro de Lisboa partem as linhas tentaculares da rede de auto-estradas que nos levam até uma série de pontos de referência de um Portugal mais desenvolvido e equilibrado.

O Alentejo é a região do País que tem a dimensão igual à Holanda, que tem uma população de 15 milhões de habitantes. Esta metade do território nacional tem uma população de cerca de 750.000 habitantes, população equivalente a uma cidade média tipo Cracóvia na Polónia ou Bergamo em Itália. Um território desabitado e sem densidade urbana, repositório simbólico de esperanças e decepções, de Celeiro a Resort, de Grande Lago a Deserto, o Alentejo é esse estado de alma de impossibilidade e de liberdade. Tudo e nada. A escolha das obras é inevitável que passe por pontos, sem linhas ou estrutura, na vastidão de um território que parece ilimitado. Apenas pontos de forte relação com a paisagem e as comunidades. Alguns pontos de relação urbana, outros de pura paisagem, outros ainda de relação e inovação com a estrutura agrícola. São pontos idílicos, pontos de excepção, pontos de eloquente arquitectura, pontos de referência dentro do poema e do drama da paisagem alentejana.

A linha desenhada no norte de Portugal, a partir de seis pontos de referência distribuídos ao longo do rio Douro, desde a fronteira até à foz, deve ser entendida numa estratégia de leitura de um território profundamente transformado pela indústria vinícola. Deve, também, ser entendida a partir da decisão da Unesco em classificar o centro histórico do Porto, em 1996, e o Alto Douro Vinhateiro, em 2001, classificações que tiveram profundas implicações no ecossistema económico do vale do Douro. A partir deste novo enquadramento, na definição de um produto turístico-cultural, a região do Douro começou a receber investimentos na área da hotelaria, na requalificação das adegas ou na construção de equipamentos culturais. Perante os novos desafios colocados à região, a arquitectura portuguesa contemporânea assumiu um papel importante na articulação entre o território, os novos programas e a construção de uma nova identidade.

A construção progressiva da rede de auto-estradas transformou Portugal desde a adesão à CEE em 1986. O investimento na infra-estruturação viária manifestava essa tentativa de aproximar os grandes pólos urbanos do litoral a um interior em desenvolvimento. Entre um reforço da concentração das áreas metropolitanas e um crescimento significativo das cidades regionais, permanece a promessa de um equilíbrio entre lógicas de centralização e descentralização. A arquitectura portuguesa contemporânea está intimamente ligada a este dilema, tendo os arquitectos contribuído com a construção de importantes equipamentos por todo o território nacional. Do centro de Lisboa partem as linhas tentaculares da rede de auto-estradas que nos levam até uma série de pontos de referência de um Portugal mais desenvolvido e equilibrado.

O Alentejo é a região do País que tem a dimensão igual à Holanda, que tem uma população de 15 milhões de habitantes. Esta metade do território nacional tem uma população de cerca de 750.000 habitantes, população equivalente a uma cidade média tipo Cracóvia na Polónia ou Bergamo em Itália. Um território desabitado e sem densidade urbana, repositório simbólico de esperanças e decepções, de Celeiro a Resort, de Grande Lago a Deserto, o Alentejo é esse estado de alma de impossibilidade e de liberdade. Tudo e nada. A escolha das obras é inevitável que passe por pontos, sem linhas ou estrutura, na vastidão de um território que parece ilimitado. Apenas pontos de forte relação com a paisagem e as comunidades. Alguns pontos de relação urbana, outros de pura paisagem, outros ainda de relação e inovação com a estrutura agrícola. São pontos idílicos, pontos de excepção, pontos de eloquente arquitectura, pontos de referência dentro do poema e do drama da paisagem alentejana.

A linha desenhada no norte de Portugal, a partir de seis pontos de referência distribuídos ao longo do rio Douro, desde a fronteira até à foz, deve ser entendida numa estratégia de leitura de um território profundamente transformado pela indústria vinícola. Deve, também, ser entendida a partir da decisão da Unesco em classificar o centro histórico do Porto, em 1996, e o Alto Douro Vinhateiro, em 2001, classificações que tiveram profundas implicações no ecossistema económico do vale do Douro. A partir deste novo enquadramento, na definição de um produto turístico-cultural, a região do Douro começou a receber investimentos na área da hotelaria, na requalificação das adegas ou na construção de equipamentos culturais. Perante os novos desafios colocados à região, a arquitectura portuguesa contemporânea assumiu um papel importante na articulação entre o território, os novos programas e a construção de uma nova identidade.

A construção progressiva da rede de auto-estradas transformou Portugal desde a adesão à CEE em 1986. O investimento na infra-estruturação viária manifestava essa tentativa de aproximar os grandes pólos urbanos do litoral a um interior em desenvolvimento. Entre um reforço da concentração das áreas metropolitanas e um crescimento significativo das cidades regionais, permanece a promessa de um equilíbrio entre lógicas de centralização e descentralização. A arquitectura portuguesa contemporânea está intimamente ligada a este dilema, tendo os arquitectos contribuído com a construção de importantes equipamentos por todo o território nacional. Do centro de Lisboa partem as linhas tentaculares da rede de auto-estradas que nos levam até uma série de pontos de referência de um Portugal mais desenvolvido e equilibrado.

O Alentejo é a região do País que tem a dimensão igual à Holanda, que tem uma população de 15 milhões de habitantes. Esta metade do território nacional tem uma população de cerca de 750.000 habitantes, população equivalente a uma cidade média tipo Cracóvia na Polónia ou Bergamo em Itália. Um território desabitado e sem densidade urbana, repositório simbólico de esperanças e decepções, de Celeiro a Resort, de Grande Lago a Deserto, o Alentejo é esse estado de alma de impossibilidade e de liberdade. Tudo e nada. A escolha das obras é inevitável que passe por pontos, sem linhas ou estrutura, na vastidão de um território que parece ilimitado. Apenas pontos de forte relação com a paisagem e as comunidades. Alguns pontos de relação urbana, outros de pura paisagem, outros ainda de relação e inovação com a estrutura agrícola. São pontos idílicos, pontos de excepção, pontos de eloquente arquitectura, pontos de referência dentro do poema e do drama da paisagem alentejana.

Session A9 are Adam Sutherland, Brian Mcalpine, Charlie Mckerron, David chimp Robertson, Gordon Gunn, Kevin Henderson and Marc Clement.
Over the years Session A9 have been described as a Scottish super group, The best band to have come out of Scotland in 100 years, Tighter than James Brown and an Amazing Festival band, great praise indeed for a band formed through informal music sessions up and down the arterial Scottish road, the A9, culminating in their first ever tour in 2001.
2003 saw the release of the bands highly acclaimed first album What Road? featuring many new compositions by band members and leading Scottish tunesmiths capturing the imagination of the listening public and propelling them into the festival/gig circuit.
Since 2003 the band have successfully toured Scotland and England playing at many of the major music festivals in the UK including, Glastonbury, Cambridge folk festival, Celtic Connections, The Hebridean Celtic festival, Shetland folk festival, Orkney folk festival, Skye music festival, Tartan Heart festival, Eastleigh festival, Broadstairs festival, Blas festival and Irelands Celtic Fusion with New year celebration appearances at Perth Royal Concert Hall 2008 and Edinburghs Hogmanay celebrations 2005. European festival sorties include Ortiguera {Spain}, Tonder {Denmark) with additional concerts in Switzerland, Italy and the USA.
With 2008 came the release of the bands second album Bottlenecks and Arm breakers once again featuring many new compositions. This time round the band used top Scottish studios Castlesound and Park Lane with the vision of recreating the bands live sound through full group recording sessions. As in the first album the band line up was enhanced by the addition of Ewen Vernal on Bass. Touring successes during the year led to the band being nominated for best folk band in the 2008 Scottish Trad Music Awards.
The band has been a constantly evolving organism over the years with notable contributions from Kris Drever, Duncan Chisholm, Iain Copeland, Tim Edey and Ross Martin.
June 2009 sees the band embark on an ambitious 16 date tour entitled "Session A9 and Beyond", a tour they are able to achieve with funding from Tune-Up Scotland. The tour will enable Session A9 to reach the more remote venues, as well as the established, around Scotland. They are delighted to have special guest, Daire Mulhern, a fantastic button box player from Ireland joining them on the tour.

Georges -Henri Guedj est diplômé de l’école Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris en 2001.
En 2002, il réalise pour l’exposition des élèves félicités “L’art c’est secondaire” dirigée par Christian Bernard, la chanson éponyme de l’exposition qui rejoue les codes de la musique populaire dite de variété. De cette attitude vont naître différentes propositions, toujours autour de la figure du chanteur, questionnant les modes d’apparitions d’un artiste de variété.

En 2002, il réalise pour l’exposition des élèves félicités “L’art c’est secondaire” dirigée par Christian Bernard, la chanson éponyme de l’exposition qui rejoue les codes de la musique populaire dite de variété. De cette attitude vont naître différentes propositions, toujours autour de la figure du chanteur, questionnant les modes d’apparitions d’un artiste de variété.

Protopresbyter George Dion Dragas (1944 - ) is a prominent 20th and 21st century Orthodox Christian priest, theologian, and writer. He is currently professor of patristics at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology in Brookline, Massachusetts.
Protopresbyter George Dion Dragas, PhD, DD (Hon.), is Professor of Patrology at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology in Brookline, Massachusetts. He was born in Athens, Greece, where he received his early education and studied science. He studied theology at Edinburgh University (BD) under the renowned Scots theologian and patrologist, Thomas F. Torrance, with whom he was for many years associated in academic and ecumenical work. He earned his ThM at Princeton Theological Seminary, where he studied briefly under Protopresbyter Georges V. Florovsky. He finished his PhD at Durham University, England; his dissertation, entitled Athanasius contra Apollinarem, was published in 1985 with an introduction by Thomas Torrance. Dragas was ordained to the Holy Priesthood in 1980 by Archbishop Methodios Fouyas of Thyateira and Great Britain.
Fr. Dragas taught patristics at Durham University, England, from 1974-1995. Since 1995, he has been teaching at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology in Brookline, where he also served as Dean from 1995 to 1997. At present, he is also a Visiting Professor at Université de Sherbrooke in Québec, Canada.
He is a specialist on St. Athanasius and the Alexandrian theologians and is responsible for updating with critical introductions the Athens reprint of Migne's Patrologia Graeca (about 80 volumes published so far). He is also the General Editor of the Patristic and Ecclesiastical Texts and Translations and the Orthodox Theological Library series published by the Orthodox Research Institute. He is a member of the Academie Internationale des Science Religieuses (Brussels). From 1998 to 2001, he was the editor of the Greek Orthodox Theological Review. He presently serves on the editorial board of Participatio: The Journal of the Thomas F. Torrance Theological Fellowship. In 2000, the Faculty of Theology of the St. Clement National University of Sofia, Bulgaria, conferred on him the degree of Doctor of Divinity (DD) honoris causa. In 2005, the Department of Pastoral and Social Theology of the Faculty of Theology of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki conferred on him the degree of Doctor of Theology (ThD) honoris causa. In 2007, the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki awarded him the Aristeion award, the university's highest award for academic research and achievement. Fr. Dragas has also been highly active in ecumenical affairs, serving as a theological representative of various Orthodox patriarchates in the international Orthodox/Reformed, Orthodox/Anglican, Orthodox/Methodist, Orthodox/Lutheran and Orthodox/Oriental Orthodox dialogues. In 1992, he was instrumental in drafting together with T.F. Torrance the Orthodox-Reformed "Agreed Statement on the Holy Trinity."

Since 1995, he has been teaching at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology in Brookline, where he also served as Dean from 1995 to 1997. At present, he is also a Visiting Professor at Université de Sherbrooke in Québec, Canada.
He is a specialist on St. Athanasius and the Alexandrian theologians and is responsible for updating with critical introductions the Athens reprint of Migne's Patrologia Graeca (about 80 volumes published so far). He is also the General Editor of the Patristic and Ecclesiastical Texts and Translations and the Orthodox Theological Library series published by the Orthodox Research Institute. He is a member of the Academie Internationale des Science Religieuses (Brussels). From 1998 to 2001, he was the editor of the Greek Orthodox Theological Review. He presently serves on the editorial board of Participatio: The Journal of the Thomas F. Torrance Theological Fellowship. In 2000, the Faculty of Theology of the St. Clement National University of Sofia, Bulgaria, conferred on him the degree of Doctor of Divinity (DD) honoris causa. In 2005, the Department of Pastoral and Social Theology of the Faculty of Theology of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki conferred on him the degree of Doctor of Theology (ThD) honoris causa. In 2007, the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki awarded him the Aristeion award, the university's highest award for academic research and achievement. Fr. Dragas has also been highly active in ecumenical affairs, serving as a theological representative of various Orthodox patriarchates in the international Orthodox/Reformed, Orthodox/Anglican, Orthodox/Methodist, Orthodox/Lutheran and Orthodox/Oriental Orthodox dialogues. In 1992, he was instrumental in drafting together with T.F. Torrance the Orthodox-Reformed "Agreed Statement on the Holy Trinity."
