AIM or Aim may refer to:
Eight-ball (often spelled 8-ball or eightball, and sometimes called solids and stripes, spots and stripes in the UK or, more rarely, bigs and littles/smalls or highs and lows) is a pool (pocket billiards) game popular in much of the world, and the subject of international professional and amateur competition. Played on a pool table with six pockets, the game is so universally known in some countries that beginners are often unaware of other pool games and believe the word "pool" itself refers to eight-ball. The game has numerous variations, including Alabama eight-ball, crazy eight, last pocket, misery, Missouri, 1 and 15 in the sides, rotation eight ball, soft eight, and others. Standard eight-ball is the second most competitive professional pool game, after nine-ball and for the last several decades ahead of straight pool.
Eight-ball is played with cue sticks and 16 balls: a cue ball, and 15 object balls consisting of seven striped balls, seven solid-colored balls and the black 8 ball. After the balls are scattered with a break shot, the players are assigned either the group of solid balls or the stripes once a ball from a particular group is legally pocketed. The ultimate object of the game is to legally pocket the eight ball in a called pocket, which can only be done after all of the balls from a player's assigned group have been cleared from the table.
The Aim is an EP by New Zealand band Bailter Space, released in 1992. It was their first U.S. release, and was a compilation of two vinyl singles.
Tracks one and two were recorded in June 1991 in New York, then released as a 7" single on Clawfist Records. Tracks three and four were recorded at Writhe in Wellington, New Zealand in November 1991; they were released as a separate 7", also on Clawfist Records. Both 7"s had identical star-themed cover art, but the former was in red on black, the latter in green on black.
All songs were written by Bailter Space. Cover design and photography by John Halvorsen.

This is the story of how we put together a letterpress project, from concept to design and then letterpress printed with our Original Heidelberg Windmill. --- About this project: The Mohawk Show is one of a few events that sets a standard within the graphic design community. We knew graphic designers would be attending the show to admire and be inspired by the work, and Raleigh wanted us to create something tangible that these attendees could take away with them. They would already be walking away inspired, so how could we support that? We created a letterpress printed sketchbook, a place to store their ideas. The back cover has a stylised bow, the front has a set of arrows, with the words ‘Aim True’: a simple reminder to stay inspired and to achieve their targets, whatever these targ...
In this short clip, Tim Clapham from www.luxx.com.au introduces the Constraint Tag and specifically looks at the use of the Aim parameters. If you make use of the Target Tag in Cinema4D, then watch this tutorial to see how the Constraint Tag could open up a lot of extra possibilities.
In this video I walk the process of making an object point it's (aim) axis to another object and how to control the up axis. Similar to what a aim constraint node does, but using only math operations with the Maya Pyhton API. With the process described in the video should be quite straightforward to make your own DG aim node.
Here's a quick tutorial showing how to setup controls for cart wheels, which aim relative to the direction of movement, like a shopping cart. At first glance, it wasn't obvious, but after doing it the wrong way a few times, I stopped overthinking it and got this... This tutorial shows how to simulate the aiming of an object at a control. While Aim Constraints get most jobs done, there are occasions where they are troublesome, as constraints can get confused about spacial orientation. Like many of my setups, this setup creates a the desired behavior, despite the loss of some functionality. Regardless, the relative angle of an object to its control is the focus of this setup, using 2 nodes and direct connections (14 min). My name is Nikita Zharkov and this is promo of my signature The Aim frame by STRESS. The main idea was to make barspin tricks convenient. We’ve made the seat tube angle 72.5 degrees instead of the standard 71. A seat gets to your knees much easier and faster. We had a great time filming this. The camera guy was freezing, I was sweating, falling, taking the pain, getting back up and nailing my favorite tricks! Hope you like the result, enjoy the ride. It's just some of the things he said
Keep going 'round my head
I'm gonna save my soul
Before things get impossible
I should've seen the signs
And they were right before my eyes
He could've saved my soul
A fog across the bay
I think I saw him sail away
Now like those before
I'm just another body washed up on the shore
A curse on my bones
We made a pact among the stones
He could've saved my soul
He could've saved my soul
Take me in your arms...
Do you recall the time
I think you just must have lost your mind
Affected by the sun
And how the heavens lined up as we made our run
Blood stained the lanes
And I could barely feel the pain
I loved you so much more
I loved you so much more
Take me in your arms...
We saw gunpowder paint the sky
Demons hung out to dry
How many hours to go
Before the next ice age suffocates the globe
Sandstones remain
A sea of angels crossed the plain
They never save my soul
They never save my soul
Take me in your arms...
Pact among the stones
