After the passing away of his dark-skinned wife, from who they sired Uday, Dubai-based criminal don, Shankar Shetty re-married a fair-skinned woman, who gave birth to fair-skinned Sanjana. After the couple's passing, Uday takes over in his dad's footsteps, and takes it upon himself to try and get Sanjana married - in vain, as no one wants to be associated with a crime family. Then Uday's associate, Sagar Pandey, aspiring live-action painter, who had loved Iravati, got beat-up by her brothers, and was re-named Majnu, assists in finding a young man, Rajiv, who lives with his maternal uncle, Dr. Ghunghroo and aunt, and through extortion compels Ghunghroo to accept this alliance. But Ghunghroo, at the very first opportunity, gets Rajiv to fall in love with another young woman in Sun City, South Africa. When the time comes to get Rajiv formally engaged to this woman, he finds out that Sanjana and she are the very same woman. With no escape from this predicament, the wedding is planned, invitations are sent out, and even Ranvir Dhanraj alias RDX, an Italian-based criminal don, also makes an appearance. On the day of the engagement, a woman claiming to be Rajiv's child-hood betrothed shows up, makes a successful plea to Ranvir, and gets the engagement annulled. When Dr. Ghunghroo finds out that Rajiv and Sanjana have fallen in love with each other, he decides to accept Sanjana into the family on the condition that Uday gives up on crime. Rajiv and Sanjana attempt to get Uday to take up acting in a Bollywood movie - with considerable success - so much so that Uday has no time for crime. Things get complicated when Ranvir's son, Lucky, gets wind of Rajiv's scheme and arrives in India with one mission - get Uday back on track with crime - and if necessary do away with Rajiv - once and for all.

This is a movie we made for the Grandeur Nature film festival (www.festivalgrandeurnature.com), in summer 2007. It was intended to be projected as an appetizer before 35mm feature films
The idea was to emphasize the landscape beauty, and to propose an original point of view of this Alps region, as far as timelapse is...

Welcome (2007 film)
Welcome (Hindi: वेलकम) is a 2007 Indian masalacomedy film directed by Anees Bazmee and produced by Firoz A. Nadiadwala & Ronnie Screwvala under the banner of UTV Motion Pictures. The film features a large ensemble cast of Akshay Kumar, Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar, Katrina Kaif, Paresh Rawal, Malika Sherawat and Feroz Khan in his last film appearance, whilst Sunil Shetty makes a guest appearance and Malaika Arora Khan appears in an item number.
Welcome released worldwide on 21 December 2007, to mixed critical reviews and despite initial competition from Taare Zameen Par, was a strong financial success at the box office both in India and overseas. The film's climax scene is said to be inspired from the Charlie Chaplin movie, The Gold Rush.
Plot
Uday (Nana Patekar), a criminal don, takes it upon himself to get his kindhearted sister, Sanjana (Katrina Kaif) married, but he is unsuccessful since no one wants to be associated with a crime family. Dr. Ghunghroo (Paresh Rawal) has also been trying to get his nephew, Rajiv (Akshay Kumar), married but due to his condition—the alliance must be with a purely decent family—he is also unsuccessful.

It was curated by Universal Everything (http://www.universaleverything.com) and scored by Freefarm (http://www.freefarm.co.uk). Sadly it only was released on DVD, but here in its intended HD detail. A full HD version can be found at my homepage. It's basically a hypercomplex structure made out of intervening layers of motion, that reveal over several viewings. There are even mocap driven traces of humans in the image, but often they are just overseen. A "backwards version" called "disappearing appearance" was produced as well and should help to unveil all the details... A lot of people do not know this but this commercial was actually a class project for my producing class while attending Fullsail University. The commercial was actually inspired by a friend of mine who is actually a rapper/producer. I had mentioned to him that I had needed a 30sec track for a Rock Star energy drink commercial. Within 36 hours he had a track mix mastered and ready to go. I had to have listened to the song about 3 times before writing the treatment. I actually wrote the treatment four days before actually shooting. With the backing of my team we were able to secure 40 crew members along with talent to pull off one of the Best Commercials the school has ever seen. Blackfield is the acclaimed collaboration between Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree) and Israeli artist Aviv Geffen. The duo are currently putting the finishing touches on their third album, which is due to be released in March on Kscope. Then Uday's associate, Sagar Pandey, aspiring live-action painter, who had loved Iravati, got beat-up by her brothers, and was re-named Majnu, assists in finding a young man, Rajiv, who lives with his maternal uncle, Dr. Ghunghroo and aunt, and through extortion compels Ghunghroo to accept this alliance. But Ghunghroo, at the very first opportunity, gets Rajiv to fall in love with another young woman in Sun City, South Africa. When the time comes to get Rajiv formally engaged to this woman, he finds out that Sanjana and she are the very same woman. With no escape from this predicament, the wedding is planned, invitations are sent out, and even Ranvir Dhanraj alias RDX, an Italian-based criminal don, also makes an appearance. On the day of the engagement, a woman claiming to be Rajiv's child-hood betrothed shows up, makes a successful plea to Ranvir, and gets the engagement annulled. When Dr. Ghunghroo finds out that Rajiv and Sanjana have fallen in love with each other, he decides to accept Sanjana into the family on the condition that Uday gives up on crime. It was intended to be projected as an appetizer before 35mm feature films The idea was to emphasize the landscape beauty, and to propose an original point of view of this Alps region, as far as timelapse is... Some shots are boring, some others beautiful... A lot of people do not know this but this commercial was actually a class project for my producing class while attending Fullsail University. The commercial was actually inspired by a friend of mine who is actually a rapper/producer. I had mentioned to him that I had needed a 30sec track for a Rock Star energy drink commercial. Within 36 hours he had a track mix mastered and ready to go. I had to have listened to the song about 3 times before writing the treatment. I actually wrote the treatment four days before actually shooting. With the backing of my team we were able to secure 40 crew members along with talent to pull off one of the Best Commercials the school has ever seen.
