Zion
Zion (Hebrew: צִיּוֹן Ṣiyyôn), also transliterated Sion, Sayon, Syon, Tzion or Tsion, is a place name often used as a synonym for Jerusalem. The word is first found in 2 Samuel 5:7 which dates from c.630–540 BCE according to modern scholarship. It commonly referred to a specific mountain near Jerusalem (Mount Zion), on which stood a Jebusite fortress of the same name that was conquered by David and was named the City of David. The term Tzion came to designate the area of Jerusalem where the fortress stood, and later became a metonym for Solomon's Temple in Jerusalem, the city of Jerusalem and "the World to Come", the Jewish understanding of the hereafter.
In Kabbalah the more esoteric reference is made to Tzion being the spiritual point from which reality emerges, located in the Holy of Holies of the First, Second and Third Temple.
Etymology
The etymology of the word Zion (ṣiyôn) is uncertain. Mentioned in the Bible in the Book of Samuel (2 Samuel 5:7) as the name of the Jebusite fortress conquered by King David, its origin likely predates the Israelites. If Semitic, it may be derived from the Hebrew root ṣiyyôn ("castle") or the Hebrew ṣiyya ("dry land," Jeremiah 51:43). A non-Semitic relationship to the Hurrian word šeya ("river" or "brook") has also been suggested.

Zion & Lennox
Zion & Lennox are a reggaeton music duo from Carolina, Puerto Rico. In 2010, Zion & Lennox released their 3rd studio album titled Los Verdaderos under Pina Records. After a financial dispute with Ralphy Pina, Zion & Lennox left Pina Records and started their own label, Baby Records Inc.
Career
They have been in the music business for a long time. They had minor hits such as "Baila Conmigo" for the 2003 compilation album "Desafío" and "Me Pones Tensión" for the album The Noise: La Biografía. These hits, along with others in the near future and increased radio play gave them more recognition. This gave them the chance to appear in major Reggaeton albums such as Luny Tunes' Mas Flow (2003) and Mas Flow 2 (2005), Blin Blin vol.1 (2003-4), Contra la Corriente (2004), and Cazadores, Primera Búsqueda (2005).
In May 2004, they released their first solo album, Motivando a la Yal. With hits such as "Doncella", "Bandida", and "Yo Voy" (featuring Daddy Yankee), the album reached gold certification. With the reggaeton genre becoming a worldwide phenomenon, Zion and Lennox's popularity increased. Motivando a la Yal: Special Edition was released a year later. The special edition had new songs along with remixed songs of the previous edition, such as "Don't Stop", "Bachatéalo", a remix to the song "Bandida", and a hip-hop remix of "Yo Voy" with Miri Ben-Ari, Fatman Scoop, and Pitbull entitled "Jump & Spread Out (DJ Precise and Cheeky Starr Version)".

Visiting Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks In One Day
After a great weekend in St George, Utah with Family, Katie and I decided to be a little spontaneous and take the long way home by visiting two national parks in the same day. We thought we might as well take advantage of free park week and make it a big day. We drove straight to Zion and got on the shuttle to go hike to Emerald Pools. It had been over ten years since I had last been to Zion and it was an awesome time hiking with my family. Bryce Canyon is only a short 2 hour drive from Zion and so connecting the two in one day is not overly difficult. because we left Zion later than planned we didn't get any time to really hike in Bryce, but it was still a great time. In the southwest of Utah is the famous Zion National Park, one of the most beautiful nature parks in the U.S.A.Despite, by American standards, its relatively small dimensions of six hundred square kilometres, the region consists of numerous diverse vegetation zones.Several of the park's archaeological sites indicate that Man inhabited this region more than two thousand years ago. It is believed that the earliest prehistoric inhabitants here were the legendary Anasazi Indians followed by the Paiute Tribe. At the bottom of various canyons and close to the nearby Virgin River there are Fremont poplars, ash-leafed maple and willows but the trees are always overshadowed by the park's spectacular rock formations.From the natural subtlety of its landscape to the monumental spectacle of its massive rock formations the Zion National Park contains an abundance of remarkable and truly memorable features.

-Pack sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat
-Bring plenty of water and snacks
-Please be advised, if you are afraid of heights do not go past Scout Lookout
-There is a latrine in Scout Lookout
-Past Scout Lookout there is only one trail to ascend and descend, be courteous the trail in some parts is only wide enough for one person at a time, yield to other hikers.
-Do not go if it is getting dark, if it rains or if it is icy.

-The trail is 16 miles, we only did 6 miles round trip.
-Check flash flood conditions in the visitors center
-Wear closed toe shoes or sturdy boots with ankle support, not sandals or water shoes
-Water temperature can be extremely cold even in summer time, it is recommended to take neoprene socks.
-Carry out all trash
-Carry one gallon of drinking water per person per day
-Take a fleece or windbreaker, The Narrows is much cooler than other parts of the park
-Pack gear in waterproof bags
-Remember to use the restrooms at the riverside walk trails head before hiking. There are no toilets in the narrows.

After a great weekend in St George, Utah with Family, Katie and I decided to be a little spontaneous and take the long way home by visiting two national parks in the same day. We thought we might as well take advantage of free park week and make it a big day.
We drove straight to Zion and got on the shuttle to go hike to Emerald Pools. It had been over ten years since I had last been to Zion and it was an awesome time hiking with my family.
Bryce Canyon is only a short 2 hour drive from Zion and so connecting the two in one day is not overly difficult. because we left Zion later than planned we didn't get any time to really hike in Bryce, but it was still a great time.
I love that I get to share the outdoors with my family, and that we don't make excuses for not getting out because we have a kid.

FTBA went into the year with some simple goals – Keep It Simple.
KIS it was not, we introduced the JWM2013 and a Club camp, plus put riders into polar opposites conditions with challenging to absolutely perfect swell and winds.
We did how ever meet our goal for development and education. 3 riders trained up in Judging (level 1) and 15 members attended the coaching session provided by Da Boogie Man and Ryan Hardy Bodyboard School.
We planted our feet in the sand and were showing development and progression from round 1 through out the year, all riders have shown massive growth.
The introduction of Jeff Wilcox Memorial most found encouraging yet challenging. We are excited with rebuilding this event and have big dreams for future years from the event and our members.
The Club camp at Treachery for round 6 was inspiring/entertaining and community building for all.
2013 could not have been possible if it wasn’t for the sponsors and the people that drive the club on a daily basis.

"Forster Tuncurry Bodyboarder Association, I am proud and excited to be talking to you today, from being apart of the Wilcox to seeing the club develop and progress, is all time. From what ive seen, you guys are not only developing a great club but in near time potentially a rider ready to take on the World Tour or the Free Surfing Market and Tour like I am. The reason for talking to you now is I would like to award the Club Member of the year. This member has been present at every comp and social event this year, he has been a huge asset to the club with mentoring of kids in and out of the water. He has surfed 2 divisions to push his riding. The help and support he provides at each comp, The Jeff Wilcox Memorial, the Movie Premier and more has been priceless. FTBA 2013
FTBA went into the year with some simple goals – Keep It Simple.
KIS it was not, we introduced the JWM2013 and a Club camp, plus put riders into polar opposites conditions with challenging to absolutely perfect swell and winds.
We did how ever meet our goal for development and education. 3 riders trained up in Judging (level 1) and 15 members attended the coaching session provided by Da Boogie Man and Ryan Hardy Bodyboard School.
We planted our feet in the sand and were showing development and progression from round 1 through out the year, all riders have shown massive growth.
The introduction of Jeff Wilcox Memorial most found encouraging yet challenging. We are excited with rebuilding this event and have big dreams for future years from the event and our members.
The Club camp at Treachery for round 6 was inspiring/entertaining and community building for all.
2013 could not have been possible if it wasn’t for the sponsors and the people that drive the club on a daily basis.

"Forster Tuncurry Bodyboarder Association, I am proud and excited to be talking to you today, from being apart of the Wilcox to seeing the club develop and progress, is all time. From what ive seen, you guys are not only developing a great club but in near time potentially a rider ready to take on the World Tour or the Free Surfing Market and Tour like I am. The reason for talking to you now is I would like to award the Club Member of the year. This member has been present at every comp and social event this year, he has been a huge asset to the club with mentoring of kids in and out of the water. He has surfed 2 divisions to push his riding. The help and support he provides at each comp, The Jeff Wilcox Memorial, the Movie Premier and more has been priceless. He is one of the nicest guys you will meet and will do anything to help the next generation of bodyboarders. It would be an honour for me to award Will Kennedy as FTBA Club Member of the year.

Now I know that every tour probably plays the song "The Holy City" as the bus enters the city. But it does stir a lot of emotions within, and there were lumps in our throats while this music played.
You grow up learning about these ancient biblical landmarks but you never believed you would actually see, feel, touch and experience them first-hand - the views from Mount Zion to take in the fabulous views of the old city; Temple Mount; the Holy Sepulchre and the site of Christ's crucifixion; the Wailing Wall; the Mount of Olives and the Garden of Gethsemane.
Our guide, Mickey, relayed many interesting tales during the day. One last story before we reached the ship: two Jewish men die and go to heaven. One is a holy rabbi and the other is a bus driver.They say, for the good you do on earth defines what you get in heaven. The rabbi arrives and is given a modest home; the bus driver arrives and is given a condominium with wonderful views. The incensed rabbi goes to the archangel and asks "why is this so?" The Archangel replies: When people come to your church (hmm or should I say synagogue), instead of praying they fall asleep.When people ride on the driver's bus they all pray!! Boom boom!

On that day tell your son, ‘I do this because of what the Lord did for me when I came out of Egypt.’ This observance will be for you like a sign on your hand and a reminder on your forehead that this law of the Lord is to be on your lips. Your boasting is not good. Don’t you know that a little yeast leavens the whole batch of dough? Get rid of the old yeast, so that you may be a new unleavened batch—as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. After leaving Sukkoth they camped at Etham on the edge of the desert. By day the Lord went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night.
