Story behind the Song:
Three years ago we embarked on an insane archeological quest: To conquer all Seven Wonders of the World. With music. Why? As Henry Jones (Sr) once said, “Illumination.”
What began at The Great Wall of China continued on at the Christ Redeemer Statue and the pyramids of Chichen Itza. And now we present the ancient, stoic “Rose City” carved into rock: Petra, Jordan!
Yes, this is a real place. Not just a figment of a set designer employed by Lucasfilm, LTD. We say real, but we should actually say “unreal.” Hard to believe a city half as old as time, carved out of sheer rock in the middle of the desert over 2,000 years ago still stands, whispering stories of its history through weather-worn stone artistry and intricate waterways.
Just to give you an idea of its scope, Petra is home to over 800 monuments, buildings, halls, tombs, temples, and gateways sculpted from kaleidoscope sandstone. Its access is guarded by a narrow, protracted 1,000 ft high (300 meter) canyon. This remote desert city thrived in its prime because of an intricate, ingenious aqueduct system that carried water over great distances to store in cisterns. Arab tradition believes that Petra was the site where Moses of the Old Testament struck the rock to draw forth water.
Petra has also been the site of many Hollywood movies. The first that comes to mind? Maybe something to do with seeking the Holy Grail in a fedora hat and a whip sidearm?
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade launched Petra’s “Treasury” Tomb into stone celebrity status — casting it as the lost home of the Holy Grail. What a movie! And what a soundtrack! Thank you, Mr. John Williams! How could we choose any other theme to laud the epicness of Petra’s Wonder? But the lively, adventuresome “Indy” theme needed a more Arabic flair in honor of this relic-city. As we often do, we turned to classical music for inspiration, motivation, and more compositional content.
In 1888, a Russian composer named Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov composed a landmark symphonic suite entitled, “Scheherazade,” based on a collection of Middle Eastern folk tales collected over many centuries. You’ve definitely heard of some of them — Alladin, Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves, and the Seven Voyages of Sinbad. The book is called “Arabian Nights,” and the storyteller in the book is the woman, Scheherazade. It is considered an international treasure among storybooks.

We present to you an amalgam of old and new, a marriage of then and now — a mashup of film score and historical – the hiscorical, “Indiana Jones and the Arabian Nights!”
Many of our Petra scenes were filmed carefully amidst sky-high canyons using a drone’s camera. And in case you were wondering, we did actually go in the middle of a bustling Jordanian street market and film a cello playing classical music. In fact, just as we were leaving a man grabbed us and asked if we’d play more over by his cart so he could sell more fish. It was a tempting offer.

I visited The House on the Rock a couple weeks ago. The House on the Rock is located in Spring Green, Wisconsin and was designed and built by Alex Jordan. I went on the Ultimate Experience tour and spent the entire day at this place. If you like weird and bizarre stuff, you should definitely visit The House on the Rock.
The House on the Rock is filled with obnoxiously loud automated music machines, antiques (or replicas), and is the home of the world's largest indoor carousel. It also features a creepy carousel full of porcelain dolls. I really liked the Gate House, Infinity Room, Streets of Yesterday, and the Organ Room.

Jordan
Jordan (/ˈdʒɔːrdən/; Arabic: الأردن Al-Urdun), officially the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan (Arabic: المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية Al-Mamlakah Al-Urduniyah Al-Hashimiyah), is an Arab kingdom in Western Asia, on the East Bank of the Jordan River. After the Partitioning of the Ottoman Empire after World war I by Britain and France, the Emirate of Transjordan was officially recognized by the Council of the League of Nations in 1922. In 1946, Jordan became an independent sovereign state officially known as The Hashemite Kingdom of Transjordan. The capture of the West Bank by Jordan during the 1948 Arab–Israeli War has showed that the Arab Legion forces known today as the Jordanian Armed Forces were the most effective among the Arab troops involved in the war. The same year, Abdullah I took the title King of Jordan. The name of the state was changed to The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on 1 December 1948.

Indiana Jones
Dr. Henry Walton "Indiana" Jones, Jr., often shortened to "Indy", is the title character of the Indiana Jones franchise. George Lucas created the character in homage to the action heroes of 1930s film serials. House on the Rock
The House on the Rock, originally opened in 1959, is a complex of architecturally unique rooms, streets, gardens and shops designed by Alex Jordan, Jr. It is located north of Dodgeville, a city in Iowa County, south of Spring Green, Wisconsin and is a regional tourist attraction.
Background
Both of Jordan's biographers relate a story told by Sid Boyum, which places the inspiration for the house in a meeting between Alex Jordan, Jr. and Frank Lloyd Wright, at some unspecified time between 1914 and 1923. Jordan Sr. drove with Boyum to Taliesin to show Wright the plans for a building, the Villa Maria in Madison. Jordan worshipped the famous architect and hoped for his approval. Wright looked at the plans and told Jordan: "I wouldn't hire you to design a cheese crate or a chicken coop. You're not capable." Fuming, on the drive back on Highway 23, Jordan pointed to a spire of rock and told Boyum: "I'm going to put up a Japanese house on one of those pinnacle rocks and advertise it." Balousek says Wright "apparently didn't forget the incident", noting that Wright "complained publicly to Iowa County officials about the house the Jordans were building" and bought a nearby piece of property, "perhaps as a way to get back at Jordan."

I visited The House on the Rock a couple weeks ago. The House on the Rock is located in Spring Green, Wisconsin and was designed and built by Alex Jordan. I went on the Ultimate Experience tour and spent the entire day at this place. If you like weird and bizarre stuff, you should definitely visit The House on the Rock. The House on the Rock is filled with obnoxiously loud automated music machines, antiques (or replicas), and is the home of the world's largest indoor carousel. It also features a creepy carousel full of porcelain dolls. I really liked the Gate House, Infinity Room, Streets of Yesterday, and the Organ Room. I used Adobe Premiere Pro CC and Adobe Audition CC to edit this video. Story behind the Song:
Three years ago we embarked on an insane archeological quest: To conquer all Seven Wonders of the World. With music. Why? As Henry Jones (Sr) once said, “Illumination.”
What began at The Great Wall of China continued on at the Christ Redeemer Statue and the pyramids of Chichen Itza. And now we present the ancient, stoic “Rose City” carved into rock: Petra, Jordan!
Yes, this is a real place. Not just a figment of a set designer employed by Lucasfilm, LTD. We say real, but we should actually say “unreal.” Hard to believe a city half as old as time, carved out of sheer rock in the middle of the desert over 2,000 years ago still stands, whispering stories of its history through weather-worn stone artistry and intricate waterways.
Just to give you an idea of its scope, Petra is home to over 800 monuments, buildings, halls, tombs, temples, and gateways sculpted from kaleidoscope sandstone. Its access is guarded by a narrow, protracted 1,000 ft high (300 meter) canyon. This remote desert city thrived in its prime because of an intricate, ingenious aqueduct system that carried water over great distances to store in cisterns. Arab tradition believes that Petra was the site where Moses of the Old Testament struck the rock to draw forth water.
Petra has also been the site of many Hollywood movies. The first that comes to mind? Maybe something to do with seeking the Holy Grail in a fedora hat and a whip sidearm?
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade launched Petra’s “Treasury” Tomb into stone celebrity status — casting it as the lost home of the Holy Grail. What a movie! And what a soundtrack! Thank you, Mr. John Williams! How could we choose any other theme to laud the epicness of Petra’s Wonder? But the lively, adventuresome “Indy” theme needed a more Arabic flair in honor of this relic-city. As we often do, we turned to classical music for inspiration, motivation, and more compositional content.
In 1888, a Russian composer named Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov composed a landmark symphonic suite entitled, “Scheherazade,” based on a collection of Middle Eastern folk tales collected over many centuries. You’ve definitely heard of some of them — Alladin, Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves, and the Seven Voyages of Sinbad. The book is called “Arabian Nights,” and the storyteller in the book is the woman, Scheherazade. It is considered an international treasure among storybooks.

We present to you an amalgam of old and new, a marriage of then and now — a mashup of film score and historical – the hiscorical, “Indiana Jones and the Arabian Nights!”
Many of our Petra scenes were filmed carefully amidst sky-high canyons using a drone’s camera. And in case you were wondering, we did actually go in the middle of a bustling Jordanian street market and film a cello playing classical music. In fact, just as we were leaving a man grabbed us and asked if we’d play more over by his cart so he could sell more fish. It was a tempting offer.

I visited The House on the Rock a couple weeks ago. The House on the Rock is located in Spring Green, Wisconsin and was designed and built by Alex Jordan. I went on the Ultimate Experience tour and spent the entire day at this place. If you like weird and bizarre stuff, you should definitely visit The House on the Rock.
The House on the Rock is filled with obnoxiously loud automated music machines, antiques (or replicas), and is the home of the world's largest indoor carousel. It also features a creepy carousel full of porcelain dolls. I really liked the Gate House, Infinity Room, Streets of Yesterday, and the Organ Room.
I used Adobe Premiere Pro CC and Adobe Audition CC to edit this video.

A Travel Guide to Jordan
Jordan is an extraordinary country. Although small in size and young in terms of nation state, it is blessed with some of the regions most revered historical treasures, some of its most spectacular scenery and some of its kindest and most hospitable people. It has a delicious cuisine, a good tourist infrastructure – with some great accommodation and knowledgeable guides – and under the much respected royal family, a stable government. Throughout its short history, Jordan has bucked the trends of its neighbours; by welcoming the foreign traveller with open arms, and gallons of sweet mint tea, in many ways it continues to do so.
Amman is a lively, liberal city, modern in character, yet with one foot rooted firmly in the past. With a history dating back to Neolithic times, its journey travels through the Greeks and Romans – when it was known as Philadelphia, the City of Brotherly Love’ – before being abandoned for almost a thousand years only to rise again in 1921 as the country’s modern capital. Today it carries an air of dynamic self-assurance, and is an easy place to hang out for a day or two. Things not to be missed are the downtown area, the fruit and vegetable market, the Roman theatre, and the citadel with the capital’s most famous monument, the Temple of Hercules.
From Amman the first thing you might like to do is take a day trip to visit the country’s most famous Roman town, Jaresh. Although Palaeolithic and Neolithic settlements can be found nearby, the town came to prominence during in the 1st century AD. Sites to check out here are the Temple of Zeus, the South Theatre and its impressive, and renovated, Hippodrome – which has seen a revival of the Roman sport of chariot racing.
Travelling south you’ll pass Mount Nebo, the site from which Moses showed his people the Promised Land and take a look around Madaba, where, among other things, on the floor of St George’s church you can see the first map of the Holy Land in the form of a wonderful mural.
But Jordan isn’t just about sites of antiquity, it also has some stunning natural wonders to experience. Just to the east of Madaba you can go for a float in the Dead Sea – and, if you so desire, cover yourself in the rejuvenating mud, or treat yourself to a spa or swim at one of the regions smart 5 star hotels – before enjoying remote, offbeat locations like the tiny village of Dana, which has recently been reinvented as an eco-village for travellers looking to explore the nearby reserve.
While most people enter Petra from the town of Wadi Musa, through the famous Siq, or narrow gorge, emerging at the Treasury, there is another route in. Taking the rarely used back entrance not only offers a spectacular walk, through the regions beautifully rugged terrain, it also means you avoid the crowds and start your tour of the amazing Pink City at the impressive Monastery, and thus save the Treasury till last.
And what a site Petra is – truly one of the wonders of the world. Covering some 250 square kilometres, the former capital of the Nabateans simply astounds. The beautiful pink rock, carved into magnificent facades showcasing the noble family’s temples and tombs, divided by mighty canyons and gorges, really does leave you speechless. At one time the city was home to some 30,000 inhabitants and the scale of the place is mind-blowing.
And finally you come to the most impressive of all the Petra sites, the famous Treasury, which simply has to be one of the most magnificent monuments ever created.
This is simply one of the most majestic desert landscapes you are ever likely to witness, a place where orange sands drift against towering red cliffs and immense vistas ride out under vast desert skies. This is a great place to stay for the night, either sleeping wild under the stars or in one of the impressive camps, the best of which is almost certainly Discover Circle, Bedu Camp.
And as dramatic as it is, Wadi Rum has been used as a location in a numerous famous movies.
And finally right in the south is the Red Sea town of Aqaba, which as well as being an important port and modern beach resort for locals, also has its place in history.
With plenty of good walks to be had, horse riding holidays to experience, even great diving in the Red Sea, Jordan also has its fair share of activities to enjoy. At the Feynan Eco Resort it has an award winning ethical hotel, at Karak and Shobak it has Crusader castles and in the Azraq Wetlands it offers some amazing birdwatching.

Around thirty kilometres northwest of Amman is As-Salt that is situated between two mountain slopes. Up until the First World War this city that had a good supply of water and enjoyed a good climate, was the main metropolis of Trans-Jordan. Saladin had this fortress built on a twelve hundred metre high hill in 1184. Qal’at Ajlun was meant to be a defence against the approaching Crusaders and also to protect pilgrims on their way to Mecca. At an altitude of eight hundred metres is a place of great significance for the Jewish and Christian faiths, Nebo Mountain, where God revealed to Moses the Promised Land for the first time after his forty year journey from Egypt. Near Wadi Musa, The Valley Of Moses, is the fascinating and legendary rose red city of Petra. Its strategic location at the junction of six important caravan routes, including the famous Incense Road, brought much prosperity to the city. The most impressive route to Petra travels through the Siq, a narrow gorge with huge sandstone walls. Jordan is a priceless gem located in the Near East with all the magical romance of the Orient!

Jordan found that dazzling visitors once was simply not enough. The House on the Rock was the majestic retreat of Alex Jordan. This DVD video gives you a glimpse at a one of a kind attraction that has to be seen to be believed. Jordan possessed the endless imagination and ambition to make its construction possible.
The House on the Rock was Jordan's grand vision. He believed that sigts and sounds were the most effective means of stimulating the senses. He wanted guests to question his creation, to come to their own conclusions, and turn his world of dreams into their own.

My Trip to The House on the Rock, Spring Green, WI
I visited The House on the Rock a couple weeks ago. The House on the Rock is located in Spring Green, Wisconsin and was designed and built by Alex Jordan. I went on the Ultimate Experience tour and spent the entire day at this place. If you like weird and bizarre stuff, you should definitely visit The House on the Rock. The House on the Rock is filled with obnoxiously loud automated music machines, antiques (or replicas), and is the home of the world's largest indoor carousel. It also features a creepy carousel full of porcelain dolls. I really liked the Gate House, Infinity Room, Streets of Yesterday, and the Organ Room. I visited The House on the Rock a couple weeks ago. The House on the Rock is located in Spring Green, Wisconsin and was designed and built by Alex Jordan. I went on the Ultimate Experience tour and spent the entire day at this place. If you like weird and bizarre stuff, you should definitely visit The House on the Rock.
The House on the Rock is filled with obnoxiously loud automated music machines, antiques (or replicas), and is the home of the world's largest indoor carousel. It also features a creepy carousel full of porcelain dolls. I really liked the Gate House, Infinity Room, Streets of Yesterday, and the Organ Room.
I used Adobe Premiere Pro CC and Adobe Audition CC to edit this video.

Archeologists are hailing the discovery of an ancient temple built to a pre-Hispanic god of wind in the Tlatelolca neighborhood of what is now Mexico City, IFL Science reported Friday.According to the report, a supermarket was constructed on top of the temple in the middle of the 20th century.
