Runway

According to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), a runway is a "defined rectangular area on a land aerodrome prepared for the landing and takeoff of aircraft". Runways may be a man-made surface (often asphalt, concrete, or a mixture of both) or a natural surface (grass, dirt, gravel, ice, or salt).

Naming

Runways are named by a number between 01 and 36, which is generally the magnetic azimuth of the runway's heading in decadegrees. This heading differs from true north by the local magnetic declination. A runway numbered 09 points east (90°), runway 18 is south (180°), runway 27 points west (270°) and runway 36 points to the north (360° rather than 0°). When taking off from or landing on runway 09, a plane would be heading 90° (east).

A runway can normally be used in both directions, and is named for each direction separately: e.g., "runway 33" in one direction is "runway 15" when used in the other. The two numbers usually differ by 18 (= 180°).

If there is more than one runway pointing in the same direction (parallel runways), each runway is identified by appending Left (L), Center (C) and Right (R) to the number to identify its position (when facing its direction) — for example, Runways One Five Left (15L), One Five Center (15C), and One Five Right (15R). Runway Zero Three Left (03L) becomes Runway Two One Right (21R) when used in the opposite direction (derived from adding 18 to the original number for the 180 degrees when approaching from the opposite direction). In some countries, if parallel runways are too close to each other, regulations mandate that only one runway may be used at a time under certain conditions (usually adverse weather).

My Little Pony: Equestria Girls

My Little Pony: Equestria Girls is a 2013 Canadian–American animated musical comedy film and a spin-off of the My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic animated television series. Written by Meghan McCarthy and directed by Jayson Thiessen, the film premiered across limited screens in the United States and Canada on June 16, 2013, with worldwide home media release that began on August 6, 2013, which was followed by broadcast on the Hub Network, a joint venture between Discovery Communications and Hasbro, on September 1, 2013.

The film re-envisions the main characters of the series, normally ponies, as teenage human characters in a high school setting. Set between the show's third and fourth seasons, the film's plot involves the pony Twilight Sparkle pursuing her stolen crown into an alternate world where she transforms into a human, teenage girl. While learning how to behave as a human, Twilight encounters human counterparts of her pony friends, who help her in her search for her crown. The film's release is tied in with the expansion of the My Little Pony toy line to include teenage human versions of the main characters, and also commemorates the 30th anniversary of the launch of the original My Little Pony toy line.

My Little Pony: Equestria Girls – Rainbow Rocks

My Little Pony: Equestria Girls – Rainbow Rocks is a 2014 Canadian–American animated fantasy musical-comedy film sequel to 2013's My Little Pony: Equestria Girls, and a spin-off of the My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic animated television series. Written by Meghan McCarthy and directed by Jayson Thiessen, the film premiered in select movie theaters across the United States and Canada on September 27, 2014, which was followed by broadcast on Discovery Family, a joint venture between Discovery Communications and Hasbro, on October 17, 2014.

Like the first film, Rainbow Rocks re-envisions the main characters of the series, normally ponies, as teenage human characters in a high school setting. Set between the television series' fourth and fifth seasons, the film's plot involves Princess Twilight Sparkle returning to Canterlot High School to compete in a Battle of the Bands alongside her human friends—including a reformed Sunset Shimmer—to save the school from a band of sirens from Equestria. Critical reviews have been positive, with the movie being described as "far superior" to the first installment.

Kendall Jenner

Kendall Nicole Jenner (born November 3, 1995) is an American fashion model and television personality. Jenner first came to public attention for appearing in the E! reality television show Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

Jenner is a part of an emerging fashion movement which has been dubbed "the Instagirl era" by Vogue magazine, or "Social Media Modeling" by Harper's Bazaar magazine. Jenner built her online fanbase by posting backstage selfies and career updates to her followers on social media, giving them a unique fly on the wall view of her career and public life.

After working in commercial print ad campaigns and photoshoots, Jenner had breakout seasons in 2014 and 2015, walking the runways for high fashion designers during the New York, Milan, and Paris Fashion Weeks. Jenner made her earnings debut at No. 16 on Forbes' 2015 list of top earning models, with an estimated annual income of US$4 million.

Early life and family

Jenner was born in Los Angeles, California, to retired Olympic decathlete champion Bruce Jenner (now Caitlyn Jenner after a 2015 gender transition) and television personality Kris Jenner.
