Raffi

Raffi Cavoukian, CM OBC (Armenian: Րաֆֆի, born 8 July 1948), better known by his mononym Raffi, is an Egyptian-born Canadian singer-songwriter and author best known for his children's music. He has developed his career as a "global troubadour", to become a music producer, author, entrepreneur, and founder of the Centre for Child Honouring, a vision for global restoration.

Personal life

Born in Cairo, Egypt, to Armenian parents, he spent his early years in Egypt before immigrating with his family to Canada in 1958, eventually settling in Toronto, Ontario. His mother named him after the Armenian poet Raffi. His father Arto Cavoukian was a well-known portrait photographer with a studio on Bloor Street in Toronto. His older brother Onnig Cavoukian, known as "Cavouk", is also a famous portrait photographer. His younger sister is Ann Cavoukian, Ontario's former Information and Privacy Commissioner. His parents died within 12 hours of each other, his mother dying first, of abdominal cancer.

Raffi Ahmad

Raffi Ahmad (born 17 February 1987) is an Indonesian presenter, actor, and singer. Raffi has been cast in a number of soap operas, television movies and feature films. He is also involved in advertising, but mainly as a host.

Career

Raffi began his career as actor. Until now, he have been involved in some opera soap, film television, and movie. In addition as actor, he develop his career as advertisement star, presenter, and singer. Began from supporting role in his first opera soap, Tunjuk Satu Bintang, and he became popular in Senandung Masa Puber at the time as lead role with Bunga Citra Lestari. After that, he continuously appear in opera soap and film television even movies, one of the movie title Love is Cinta. Raffi's acting in the movie got praised from film critic.

In 2006, the top musician, Melly Goeslaw, held a casting for group vocal Bukan Bintang Biasa, also known as BBB. This project devoted for Indonesian teen opera soap. From many artist starring the opera soap was audition, Raffi was selected with Laudya Cynthia Bella, Chelsea Olivia Wijaya, Dimas Beck, and Ayushita. Their first single, "Let's Dance Together", was well received. And then, BBB starred in a film directed by Lasja Fauzia called Bukan Bintang Biasa, the single from that film, became most popular with the teenage demographic and the duet single with Ayushita, Jangan Bilang Tidak, was become the next single.
