Robert Edward Homans (November 8, 1877 – July 28, 1947) was an American film actor. He appeared in some 400 films between 1917 and 1946. He was born in Malden, Massachusetts and died in Los Angeles, California from a heart attack.
George Casper Homans (August 11, 1910 – May 29, 1989) was an American Sociologist, founder of behavioral sociology and the Social Exchange Theory.
Homans is best known for his research in social behavior and his works including The Human Group, Social Behavior: Its Elementary Forms, his Exchange Theory and the many different propositions he enforced to better explain social behavior.
Lincoln Edward Kirstein (May 4, 1907 – January 5, 1996) was an American writer, impresario, art connoisseur, philanthropist, and cultural figure in New York City, noted especially as co-founder of the New York City Ballet. He developed and sustained the company with his organizing ability and fundraising for more than four decades, serving as the company's General Director from 1946 to 1989. According to the New York Times, he was "an expert in many fields," organizing art exhibits and lecture tours in the same years.
Kirstein was born in Rochester, New York, the son of Rose (née Stein) and Louis E. Kirstein. The grandson of a successful Rochester clothing manufacturer, he grew up in a wealthy Jewish Bostonian family and attended the private Berkshire School, graduating in 1926. His father was president of Filene's Department Store when Lincoln entered Harvard.
In 1927, while an undergraduate (he graduated in 1930), Kirstein was annoyed that the literary magazine The Harvard Advocate would not accept his work. With a friend Varian Fry, who met his wife Eileen through Lincoln's sister Mina, he convinced his father to finance their own literary quarterly, the Hound & Horn. After he moved in 1930 to New York, taking the quarterly with him, it became an important publication in the artistic world. It lasted until 1934 when Lincoln decided to fund the Russian choreographer George Balanchine instead in his development of an American ballet school and company.
Ian Bostridge CBE (born 25 December 1964) is an English tenor, well known for his performances as an opera and lieder singer.
Bostridge was born in London, the son of Leslie Bostridge and Lillian (née Clark). His father was a chartered surveyor. Bostridge is the great-grandson of the Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper from the early twentieth century, John "Tiny" Joyce.
He was a Queen's scholar at Westminster School. He attended St John's College, Oxford, where he secured a First in modern history and St John's College, Cambridge, where he received an M.Phil in the history and philosophy of science. He was awarded his D.Phil from Oxford in 1990, on the significance of witchcraft in English public life from 1650 to 1750, supervised by Keith Thomas. He worked in television current affairs and documentaries for two years in London before becoming a British Academy post-doctoral fellow at Corpus Christi College, Oxford, teaching political theory and eighteenth-century British history. He became a full-time singer in 1995, aged thirty.

To escape his dreary existence, Martin loses himself in the fantasy world of the cult horror film The Human Centipede (First Sequence) (2009), fetishizing the meticulous surgical skills of the gifted Dr. Heiter, whose knowledge of the human gastrointestinal system inspires Martin to attempt the unthinkable. Director Tom Six stated in 2010 that he was working on a sequel to The Human Centipede (First Sequence), and a possible third film depending upon its success.[ He said that the plot would follow on from the first film, but with a centipede made from twelve people as opposed to the three vic...
