Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau fails to get a high five from Prince George as the three-year-old arrives in Canada with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Princess Charlotte.
I built a like-new(but really refurbished) iPhone 6S 16GB entirely from parts I bought in the public cell phone parts markets in Huaqiangbei. And it works!
I've been fascinated by the cell phone parts markets in Shenzhen, China for a while. I'd walked through them a bunch of times, but I still didn't understand basic things, like how they were organized or who was buying all these parts and what they were doing with them.
So when someone mentioned they wondered if you could build a working smartphone from parts in the markets, I jumped at the chance to really dive in and understand how everything works. Well, I sat on it for nine months, and then I dove in.

Prince Harry has declared he is ready to play the proud uncle for his new nephew Prince George and "make sure he has fun". Harry could not stop beaming as he talked about the newest member of his family during his visit to a photographic exhibition in London documenting the work of his Africa-based charity Sentebale.
Asked what his mission was as an uncle the prince replied: "To make sure he has a good upbringing, and keep him out of harm's way and to make sure he has fun. Report by Ashley Fudge.

STORYLINE:
US President George W. Bush and first lady Laura Bush were guests of honour at a white-tie state dinner at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday night, at the end of the first day of their state visit to Britain.
Prime Minister Tony Blair also attended, along with a host of dignitaries.
The banquet took place in the impressive surroundings of the the Palace in room with cathedral ceilings.
Oversized paintings and tapestries covered the walls and the deep red carpet matched roses that
overflowed from tables set with china, flatware and glasses dating to the time of King George IV in the early 1800s.
The Queen gave a short speech welcoming guests, before the meal began.
"You led the response to an unprovoked terrorist attack, which was on a scale never seen before," the queen said in toasting Bush. "Our two countries stand firm in their determination to defeat terrorism."
In a return toast, Bush said the United States and Britain had a long history of fighting together in defense of common values and "once again we're acting to secure the peace of the world."
Meanwhile, anti-war protesters made preparations for huge demonstrations against Bush's 3 1/2-day state visit.
Small protests took place across London on Wednesday. Demonstrators were often outnumbered by police, reporters, tourists and camera crews.
But as darkness fell, police scuffled with some of the several hundred protesters who assembled outside Buckingham Palace.

STORYLINE:
Cycling fans arrived at the Olympic velodrome on Thursday for the track cycling events - with Britons having high hopes for their country's competitors.
Members of the British royal family were there, too, including Prince William, the Duchess of Cambridge, and Prince Harry.
Inside the velodrome, the women's team sprint world record fell three times in rapid succession - with home favourites Victoria Pendleton and Jessica Varnish clocking 32.526 seconds over the two laps of the velodrome during qualifying to improve on the previous mark of 32.549 set by Germany in April.
But British fans were quickly silenced by the Chinese pairing of Gong Jinjie and Guo Shuang, who went on to beat the record twice.
And, in a huge upset for the home fans, Pendleton and Varnish saw their medal hopes vanish when they were later relegated for making an early change in the first round.
More controversy erupted in the final when China won, but were then eliminated themselves, giving gold to Germany, which had already seen defeat turn to victory against Britain.
But British fans had something to cheer when Chris Hoy has won a fifth Olympic gold medal with victory in the men's team sprint alongside Philip Hindes and Jason Kenny in a world record time of 42.6 seconds.

Info from licensor: "A group of hunters got together to help a young cancer sufferer (terminal diagnosis) with his last wish of catching a 100 kg (220 pound) wild boar with his dogs. One day while hunting one of the highly trained dogs was chasing some pigs by scent and collided with a big buck kangaroo that then held and wrestled the dog by its protective gear (boars have tusks like knives), the owner was horrified that his dog or the kangaroo would get hurt and run in to save both parties. You can see the dog trying to escape, wanting nothing to do with the kangaroo. The big buck kangaroo releases the dog when the owner gets close but then moves in to try and attack the human. A kangaroo kick to the guts could easily disembowel the owner easily , so he backs off a couple of times giving the kangaroo some space but he eventually changes the roo's mind with a punch to the snout, as it kept coming forward. The punch stops the roo and makes him think about the situation, giving the owner and the dog time to disengage from the big wild animal and leaving it to hop off and I suppose wonder about what just happened. We laughed at the absurdity of the situation and at how unfortunate it was for the dog and kangaroo. Our 6 foot 7 inch friend felt no malice to the kangaroo but had to step in and fix a bad situation before it got worse. Young Kailem unfortunately lost his brave battle with cancer two days ago, so this hunt is part of the treasured memories his family and friends have. Having a dog get tangled up with a roo was never our aim or intention and we were happy no animals were hurt in the incident." -Greg Bloom

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge
Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge (Catherine Elizabeth "Kate"; née Middleton; born 9 January 1982), is the wife of Prince William, Duke of Cambridge. Following his father Charles, Prince of Wales, William is second in line to succeed his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, as monarch of the United Kingdom and 15 other Commonwealth realms.
Middleton grew up in Chapel Row, a village near Newbury, Berkshire, England. She studied art history in Scotland at the University of St Andrews, where she met William in 2001. Their engagement was announced on 16 November 2010, and she attended several royal events before they married on 29 April 2011 at Westminster Abbey. The Duke and Duchess have two children: Prince George and Princess Charlotte of Cambridge, who are respectively third and fourth in line to the British throne.
She has had a major impact upon British and American fashion, which has been termed the "Kate Middleton effect", and in 2012 and 2013, she was selected as one of the "100 Most Influential People in the World" by Time magazine.

Prince Harry
Prince Henry of Wales, KCVO (Henry Charles Albert David; born 15 September 1984), commonly known as Prince Harry, is the younger son of Charles, Prince of Wales, and Diana, Princess of Wales. At the time of his birth, he was third in the line of succession to succeed his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, but is currently fifth in line after his nephew, George, and niece, Charlotte.
After an education at schools in the United Kingdom and spending parts of his gap year in Australia and Lesotho, Harry chose a military career, undergoing officer training at Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. He was commissioned as a Cornet into the Blues and Royals of the Household Cavalry Regiment, serving temporarily with his brother, and completed his training as a troop leader. In 2007–2008, he served for 77 days in Helmand, Afghanistan but was pulled out following publication of his presence there by an Australian magazine. He returned to Afghanistan for a 20-week deployment in 2012–2013 with the Army Air Corps. He left the army in June 2015.

Elizabeth II (Elizabeth Alexandra Mary; born 21 April 1926) is, and has been since her accession in 1952, Queen of the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, and Head of the Commonwealth. Oversized paintings and tapestries covered the walls and the deep red carpet matched roses that overflowed from tables set with china, flatware and glasses dating to the time of King George IV in the early 1800s. The Queen gave a short speech welcoming guests, before the meal began. "You led the response to an unprovoked terrorist attack, which was on a scale never seen before," the queen said in toasting Bush. "Our two countries stand firm in their determination to defeat terrorism." In a return toast, Bush said the United States and Britain had a long history of fighting together in defense of common values and "once again we're acting to secure the peace of the world." Meanwhile, anti-war protesters made preparations for huge demonstrations against Bush's 3 1/2-day state visit. Small protests took place across London on Wednesday. Demonstrators were often outnumbered by police, reporters, tourists and camera crews. But as darkness fell, police scuffled with some of the several hundred protesters who assembled outside Buckingham Palace. STORYLINE: Cycling fans arrived at the Olympic velodrome on Thursday for the track cycling events - with Britons having high hopes for their country's competitors. Members of the British royal family were there, too, including Prince William, the Duchess of Cambridge, and Prince Harry. Inside the velodrome, the women's team sprint world record fell three times in rapid succession - with home favourites Victoria Pendleton and Jessica Varnish clocking 32.526 seconds over the two laps of the velodrome during qualifying to improve on the previous mark of 32.549 set by Germany in April. But British fans were quickly silenced by the Chinese pairing of Gong Jinjie and Guo Shuang, who went on to beat the record twice. And, in a huge upset for the home fans, Pendleton and Varnish saw their medal hopes vanish when they were later relegated for making an early change in the first round. More controversy erupted in the final when China won, but were then eliminated themselves, giving gold to Germany, which had already seen defeat turn to victory against Britain. But British fans had something to cheer when Chris Hoy has won a fifth Olympic gold medal with victory in the men's team sprint alongside Philip Hindes and Jason Kenny in a world record time of 42.6 seconds. Occurred June 15, 2016 / Outback Australia Info from licensor: "A group of hunters got together to help a young cancer sufferer (terminal diagnosis) with his last wish of catching a 100 kg (220 pound) wild boar with his dogs. One day while hunting one of the highly trained dogs was chasing some pigs by scent and collided with a big buck kangaroo that then held and wrestled the dog by its protective gear (boars have tusks like knives), the owner was horrified that his dog or the kangaroo would get hurt and run in to save both parties. You can see the dog trying to escape, wanting nothing to do with the kangaroo. The big buck kangaroo releases the dog when the owner gets close but then moves in to try and attack the human. A kangaroo kick to the guts could easily disembowel the owner easily , so he backs off a couple of times giving the kangaroo some space but he eventually changes the roo's mind with a punch to the snout, as it kept coming forward. The punch stops the roo and makes him think about the situation, giving the owner and the dog time to disengage from the big wild animal and leaving it to hop off and I suppose wonder about what just happened. We laughed at the absurdity of the situation and at how unfortunate it was for the dog and kangaroo. Our 6 foot 7 inch friend felt no malice to the kangaroo but had to step in and fix a bad situation before it got worse. Young Kailem unfortunately lost his brave battle with cancer two days ago, so this hunt is part of the treasured memories his family and friends have. I've been fascinated by the cell phone parts markets in Shenzhen, China for a while. I'd walked through them a bunch of times, but I still didn't understand basic things, like how they were organized or who was buying all these parts and what they were doing with them. One day while hunting one of the highly trained dogs was chasing some pigs by scent and collided with a big buck kangaroo that then held and wrestled the dog by its protective gear (boars have tusks like knives), the owner was horrified that his dog or the kangaroo would get hurt and run in to save both parties. You can see the dog trying to escape, wanting nothing to do with the kangaroo. The big buck kangaroo releases the dog when the owner gets close but then moves in to try and attack the human. I built a like-new(but really refurbished) iPhone 6S 16GB entirely from parts I bought in the public cell phone parts markets in Huaqiangbei. And it works!
I've been fascinated by the cell phone parts markets in Shenzhen, China for a while. I'd walked through them a bunch of times, but I still didn't understand basic things, like how they were organized or who was buying all these parts and what they were doing with them.
So when someone mentioned they wondered if you could build a working smartphone from parts in the markets, I jumped at the chance to really dive in and understand how everything works. Well, I sat on it for nine months, and then I dove in.

US President George W. Bush and first lady Laura Bush were guests of honour at a white-tie state dinner at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday night, at the end of the first day of their state visit to Britain.
Prime Minister Tony Blair also attended, along with a host of dignitaries.
The banquet took place in the impressive surroundings of the the Palace in room with cathedral ceilings.
Oversized paintings and tapestries covered the walls and the deep red carpet matched roses that
overflowed from tables set with china, flatware and glasses dating to the time of King George IV in the early 1800s.
The Queen gave a short speech welcoming guests, before the meal began.
"You led the response to an unprovoked terrorist attack, which was on a scale never seen before," the queen said in toasting Bush. "Our two countries stand firm in their determination to defeat terrorism."
In a return toast, Bush said the United States and Britain had a long history of fighting together in defense of common values and "once again we're acting to secure the peace of the world."
Meanwhile, anti-war protesters made preparations for huge demonstrations against Bush's 3 1/2-day state visit.
Small protests took place across London on Wednesday. Demonstrators were often outnumbered by police, reporters, tourists and camera crews.
But as darkness fell, police scuffled with some of the several hundred protesters who assembled outside Buckingham Palace.

But British fans were quickly silenced by the Chinese pairing of Gong Jinjie and Guo Shuang, who went on to beat the record twice.
And, in a huge upset for the home fans, Pendleton and Varnish saw their medal hopes vanish when they were later relegated for making an early change in the first round.
More controversy erupted in the final when China won, but were then eliminated themselves, giving gold to Germany, which had already seen defeat turn to victory against Britain.
But British fans had something to cheer when Chris Hoy has won a fifth Olympic gold medal with victory in the men's team sprint alongside Philip Hindes and Jason Kenny in a world record time of 42.6 seconds.

Info from licensor: "A group of hunters got together to help a young cancer sufferer (terminal diagnosis) with his last wish of catching a 100 kg (220 pound) wild boar with his dogs. One day while hunting one of the highly trained dogs was chasing some pigs by scent and collided with a big buck kangaroo that then held and wrestled the dog by its protective gear (boars have tusks like knives), the owner was horrified that his dog or the kangaroo would get hurt and run in to save both parties. You can see the dog trying to escape, wanting nothing to do with the kangaroo. The big buck kangaroo releases the dog when the owner gets close but then moves in to try and attack the human. A kangaroo kick to the guts could easily disembowel the owner easily , so he backs off a couple of times giving the kangaroo some space but he eventually changes the roo's mind with a punch to the snout, as it kept coming forward. The punch stops the roo and makes him think about the situation, giving the owner and the dog time to disengage from the big wild animal and leaving it to hop off and I suppose wonder about what just happened. We laughed at the absurdity of the situation and at how unfortunate it was for the dog and kangaroo. Our 6 foot 7 inch friend felt no malice to the kangaroo but had to step in and fix a bad situation before it got worse. Young Kailem unfortunately lost his brave battle with cancer two days ago, so this hunt is part of the treasured memories his family and friends have. Having a dog get tangled up with a roo was never our aim or intention and we were happy no animals were hurt in the incident." -Greg Bloom

It was at this location 2,500 years ago that a young Prince Siddhartha sat under a fig tree, meditated and found enlightenment, thus becoming the Buddha. In part two of my video travel guide to India I travel to Bodhgaya, one of the most sacred places in all of the Buddhist religion. It was at this location 2,500 years ago that a young Prince Siddhartha sat under a fig tree, meditated and found enlightenment, thus becoming the Buddha.
I start off by visiting the many temples that have been built by various Buddhists from around the world, including temples dedicated to Buddhists living in China, Japan, Tibet and Nepal. I then visit the Tergar Monastery, one of the largest Buddhist complexes in the region, which is a short walk from the main road.
I then head to the sacred Mahabodhi Temple complex in the center of town. At sunset it is a scenic, peaceful time to explore the grounds, which include a large monument built at the Bodhi Tree itself, as well as a sprawling garden area where people come from around the world to meditate.

I've been fascinated by the cell phone parts markets in Shenzhen, China for a while. I'd walked through them a bunch of times, but I still didn't understand basic things, like how they were organized or who was buying all these parts and what they were doing with them. So when someone mentioned they wondered if you could build a working smartphone from parts in the markets, I jumped at the chance to really dive in and understand how everything works. I built a like-new(but really refurbished) iPhone 6S 16GB entirely from parts I bought in the public cell phone parts markets in Huaqiangbei. And it works!
I've been fascinated by the cell phone parts markets in Shenzhen, China for a while. I'd walked through them a bunch of times, but I still didn't understand basic things, like how they were organized or who was buying all these parts and what they were doing with them.
So when someone mentioned they wondered if you could build a working smartphone from parts in the markets, I jumped at the chance to really dive in and understand how everything works. Well, I sat on it for nine months, and then I dove in.

US President George W. Bush and first lady Laura Bush were guests of honour at a white-tie state dinner at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday night, at the end of the first day of their state visit to Britain.
Prime Minister Tony Blair also attended, along with a host of dignitaries.
The banquet took place in the impressive surroundings of the the Palace in room with cathedral ceilings.
Oversized paintings and tapestries covered the walls and the deep red carpet matched roses that
overflowed from tables set with china, flatware and glasses dating to the time of King George IV in the early 1800s.
The Queen gave a short speech welcoming guests, before the meal began.
"You led the response to an unprovoked terrorist attack, which was on a scale never seen before," the queen said in toasting Bush. "Our two countries stand firm in their determination to defeat terrorism."
In a return toast, Bush said the United States and Britain had a long history of fighting together in defense of common values and "once again we're acting to secure the peace of the world."
Meanwhile, anti-war protesters made preparations for huge demonstrations against Bush's 3 1/2-day state visit.
Small protests took place across London on Wednesday. Demonstrators were often outnumbered by police, reporters, tourists and camera crews.
But as darkness fell, police scuffled with some of the several hundred protesters who assembled outside Buckingham Palace.

But British fans were quickly silenced by the Chinese pairing of Gong Jinjie and Guo Shuang, who went on to beat the record twice.
And, in a huge upset for the home fans, Pendleton and Varnish saw their medal hopes vanish when they were later relegated for making an early change in the first round.
More controversy erupted in the final when China won, but were then eliminated themselves, giving gold to Germany, which had already seen defeat turn to victory against Britain.
But British fans had something to cheer when Chris Hoy has won a fifth Olympic gold medal with victory in the men's team sprint alongside Philip Hindes and Jason Kenny in a world record time of 42.6 seconds.

Info from licensor: "A group of hunters got together to help a young cancer sufferer (terminal diagnosis) with his last wish of catching a 100 kg (220 pound) wild boar with his dogs. One day while hunting one of the highly trained dogs was chasing some pigs by scent and collided with a big buck kangaroo that then held and wrestled the dog by its protective gear (boars have tusks like knives), the owner was horrified that his dog or the kangaroo would get hurt and run in to save both parties. You can see the dog trying to escape, wanting nothing to do with the kangaroo. The big buck kangaroo releases the dog when the owner gets close but then moves in to try and attack the human. A kangaroo kick to the guts could easily disembowel the owner easily , so he backs off a couple of times giving the kangaroo some space but he eventually changes the roo's mind with a punch to the snout, as it kept coming forward. The punch stops the roo and makes him think about the situation, giving the owner and the dog time to disengage from the big wild animal and leaving it to hop off and I suppose wonder about what just happened. We laughed at the absurdity of the situation and at how unfortunate it was for the dog and kangaroo. Our 6 foot 7 inch friend felt no malice to the kangaroo but had to step in and fix a bad situation before it got worse. Young Kailem unfortunately lost his brave battle with cancer two days ago, so this hunt is part of the treasured memories his family and friends have. Having a dog get tangled up with a roo was never our aim or intention and we were happy no animals were hurt in the incident." -Greg Bloom
