Endangered Species (1982). About a retired New York cop on Vacation in America's West who is drawn into a female sheriff's investigation of a mysterious series of cattle killings. Stars: Robert Urich, JoBeth Williams, Marin Kanter, Paul Dooley, Hoyt Axton, Dan Hedaya, Harry Carey Jr. & Peter Coyote. Directed by Alan Rudolph. Released in theaters on September 10, 1982
ENDANGERED SPECIES is an underrated 1982 thriller by Alan Rudolph that takes its premise from the conspiracy theories surrounding cattle mutilations that were getting some press back then. Might be considered a major influence on Chris Carter's THE X-FILES. The soundtrack is composed by Gary Wright, formerly of the prog rock band Spooky Tooth, and more well-known as the singer of the Top ten hit, "Dream Weaver."

The Colorado prairie has become a graveyard. Mutilated cattle, their organs surgically removed, litter the high country. Is this the gruesome work of a Satanic cult? Of extraterrestrials? Of conspirators who arrive and leave in mysterious black helicopters? The locals are terrified -- and it falls to their new sheriff (JoBeth Williams) and a troubled cop (Robert Urich) to unravel an eerie skein of deception and danger to discover the stunning truth. This paranoia-fueled thriller from director Alan Rudolph (Welcome to L.A.., Afterglow) boasts a blue-chip supporting cast and spectacular, spooky cinematography that pulls viewers deep inside the mystery. And here's the scariest thing of all: Endangered Species took its inspiration from real-life events.
Uk Subs song endangered species from their same name album in 1982 Lyrics: What makes you breed like rabbits? Is it just religious habit? What makes you die like flies? Have you ever stopped to reason why? Human life is cheaper now It's time they killed that sacred cow Taught to fear before the altar Led like a lamb to the slaughter We are the endangered species We can blow ourselves to pieces We are the endangered species We cona blow ourselves to pieces You bury your head in the sand You never try to understand Why so much greed and corruption March with the armies of occupation

Although there might be up to 30 million different animal species in the world, which may seem like a lot, scientists estimate that 99.9% of all species that have ever existed on Earth are now extinct. Extinction is a natural process; a typical species used to become extinct within 10 million years of its first appearance, although some species survive with virtually no morphological change for hundreds of millions of years. However, these days, when the planet is bursting at the seams with over 7 billion humans, the species loss is occurring at a rate 1,000 times greater than the natural background rate. Ruthless human expansion, hunting, and the destruction of natural habitats, climate changes, pollution and other factors have caused an incredible number of animals to become extinct. Som...

From the beautiful borneo shark, to the rarest irrawaddy dolphins, these are 14 ENDANGERED Sea Creatures ! Green Sea Turtles -- There’s a global trade in sea turtle meat and turtle products, and that serves to endanger these creatures. Some of these animals are caught and killed at young ages, then dried and varnished to be sold as curio items. The animals are also poached for their shells, which can fetch steep prices. The reason that Green Sea Turtles are named as such is because they eat only green seagrass and seaweeds. They also have a layer of green-colored fats under their shells. Borneo Shark -- Sharks are mercilessly hunted for their meat and for their fins, which is considered a delicacy. Borneo Sharks have been listed as endangered by the International Union of Conservati...

Local Va Beach Fishermen, Captain "Pat Foster" and Mate "Adrian Colaprete", of the "Wave Runner" charter fishing boat based out of Ruddee Inlet, rescue endangered Northern Right Whale. They were off the coast of Virginia Beach yesterday about 50 miles helping a team of scientists conduct research studies offshore. Pat spotted a whale swimming irregularly in the distance and decided to have a closer look. The team identified the whale as an endangered species of the Northern Right Whale and noted the whale was in serious danger. The whale was tangled in some sort of fishing ropes or trap line and was slowly dragging the fishing gear behind it. Pat and Adrian decided they would have to try and assess the situation a little further and find out if they could do something to help the whale....

On Friday January, 14. Bayard Russell, Matt Horner and I climbed a line on the "Big Wall" section of Poko-Moonshine in the Adirondacks. The line paralleled the legendary Jeff Lowe route Gorillas in the Mist which hasn't seen a 3rd ascent since Alex Lowe and Randy Rackliff repeated it the day after the FA in 1997. We called this new variant Endangered Species WI5+R M6+
Spend five minutes of your time looking at another nearly destroyed peace of nature, next species Homo Sapiens? These are two male Dusky Leaf Monkeys, found primarily on the Malay Peninsula, including southern Burma and parts of Thailand. They also inhabit the islands of Langkawi, Penang, and Perhentian Besar. (According to Lekagul and McNeely in 1977 and Medway, 1969. We doubt strongly if they are still there.....)
A short video about Matt Horner, Matt McCormick and I's ascent of a route we called Endanger Species on Poke-O-Moonshine in New York's Adirondacks. This stunning 65m strip of thin ice came in about 30' right of the famous Gorillas in the Mist. Gorrillas is a Jeff Lowe and Ed Palin route from 1996 that has seen only one repeat, and it was that same weekend by Alex Lowe and Randy Rackliff. We added on more pitch after the ice, the so called "Horner Corner", and rapped off a tree on a good ledge. Good friends, Kevin Mahoney and Freddie Wilkinson, repeated the route a few weeks later and added a final pitch to the summit cone. A little bit of video got lost exporting the file.

Life!!!
Struggle to survive
Crawling, raging
Feed the hate inside
Are we going to see another day?
Are we going to make it all the way?
Are we going to see the light of the day?
Are we going to make it till the end??
Rise!!!
Bad moon rise
Another war, another crime
End in sight
Bleak!!!
Why what the fuck?
Shut your mouth, shut your mind, this the way
You're just another pray
Is that what we've became???
Are we going to see another day?
Are we going to make it all the way?
Are we going to see the light of the day?
Are we going to make it till the end??
