Launched by Laurence Bell on the back of a £40 a week enterprise allowance scheme and sticking throughout to a commendable set of principles, Domino has long championed and nurtured the outsider whilst enjoying both critical and commercial success.
From the off the label became a home for the most idiosyncratic of artists, led by Sebadoh and keenly followed by Royal Trux and Palace Music. In Domino these artists recognised a label that could understand and work with their vision.
Despite racking up classic album after classic album by Palace, Smog, Elliot Smith and Pavement however, Domino remained firmly entrenched in the American music scene. But with British music enjoying a creative resurgence in the late '90's. Domino was set to enter a new phase. ''That was what we always hoped would happen'' says Bell, ''it just took longer than we thought and maybe for while we got stuck in our own bubble. But around 1997-98, we began to realise that the sort of bands we wanted to sign did exist in Britain and the fact that they liked the records we'd put out might encourage them to throw in their lot with us''.
And so they did with UK artists The Kills, Clinic, Four Tet, singer songwriter James Yorkston and Archie Bronson Outfit joining the Domino stable and releasing seminal and critically acclaimed records. But it was in 2003 that the label hit pay dirt with Franz Ferdinand - the standard bearers of a new art-rock movement - and Domino found themselves thrust into the spotlight. 'Take Me Out', Franz Ferdinand's second single, captured the mood of a nation and became a worldwide hit for the label.
In 2007 the Arctic Monkeys effortlessly followed up their debut with 'Favourite Worst Nightmare' a record bristling with confidence and swaggering intelligence. The year drew to a close with the band sharing space at the top of the end of year polls with Robert Wyatt, one of the label's latest signing. Wyatt's 'Comicopera' was a tour de force of his singular vision and effortlessly gave notice of how Domino is now placed to connect music of all generations with its rightful audience hungry for the real thing.
The future of Domino is always balanced between allowing existing artists freedom of expression and discovery of the new. Lightspeed Champion, Yo Majesty! and The Count & Sinden are all recent additions to the label's release schedule ensuring it remains innovative, idiosyncratic and as distinctively Domino as ever.

Me & My
Me & My (real names Susanne Georgi, born July 27, 1976 and Pernille Georgi, born July 24, 1974) are a Danish Eurodance-bubblegum sister duo signed under the EMI record label. They are best known for their first international hit song "Dub-I-Dub" (1995), which has been featured on many compilations including the Dancemania series albums. "Dub-I-Dub" went on to sell one million copies worldwide, while their self-titled debut album sold two million copies.
Biography
Before becoming Me & My, the two were known as "SuPer Sisters" (the word "SuPer" being a compound of the two singers' first names). Towards the beginning of the 1990s they released two Danish-language albums and tried to enter the Eurovision Song Contest 1991, but Susanne, then 15, and Pernille, then 17, were too young to enter the contest. The song which they were supposed to sing, eventually finished second in the Danish national final.
Besides attaining a reasonable level of popularity in Europe, the duo have also gained fans around the world due to their songs "Dub-I-Dub" and "So Many Men" being licensed by Toshiba-EMI Ltd. (the Japanese division of EMI) for the popular arcade video game series, Dance Dance Revolution. Despite the tracks debuting in the games in 1999 and 2000 respectively, they are still firm favourites with players of the game, and "Dub-I-Dub" was included as one of several classic tracks on the tenth-anniversary DDR game, DDR X, released in May 2008.

"Me & My Girls" is a song by American pop group Fifth Harmony from their debut EP Better Together that was released on October 18, 2013. The song was a Radio Disney promotional single and was not released as an official single.
Background
"Me & My Girls" was released as a promotional single, exclusively to Radio Disney on July 13, 2013. It became available for download on October 18, 2013, when Fifth Harmony's debut EP was released. The song received a Radio Disney Music Award for "Best Song to Rock Out to With your BFFs". The group explains the song as being "... about spending time out on the town with your girlfriends, exuding confidence and dancing like nobody’s watching".
Critical reception
Laura Plus Books gave the song a mixed review, saying it was "not the best song, not even mind-blowing but it was good. Definitely a song that I will listen to often." Christina Lee of Idolator gave a positive review, saying "the seismic “Me And My Girls” would make for the perfect moment to break out the confetti and fireworks".TheGrapeJuice.net also gave a positive review, saying "the song is enough to turn ‘Harmony’ critics into hardcore fans… Pop perfection to say the least. Jessica Rawden of PopBlend gave a positive review, stating that "The girls still need to work on putting together a more complicated dance routine, but overall, the group's second single projects exactly the image the girls have been hoping to stand for all along, at least sans the stupid bow Camila Cabello used to wear".

Selena Gomez
Selena Marie Gomez (/səˈliːnə məˈriː ˈɡoʊmɛz/ sə-LEE-nə mə-REE GOH-mez;Spanish pronunciation: [seˈlena ˈɣomes]; born July 22, 1992) is an American singer and actress. Born and raised in Grand Prairie, Texas, she was first featured on the children's series Barney & Friends in the early 2000s. In 2007, Gomez came to prominence after being cast in the Disney Channel series Wizards of Waverly Place, in which she starred as the lead character, Alex Russo, until its conclusion in 2012. She formed the band Selena Gomez & the Scene after signing a recording contract with Hollywood Records in 2008; they released the studio albums Kiss & Tell (2009), A Year Without Rain (2010), and When the Sun Goes Down (2011) before beginning a hiatus in 2012.

She embraced an increasingly mature public image with her star billing in the film Spring Breakers (2013) and her 2013 debut solo studio album, Stars Dance. She subsequently signed with Interscope Records to continue work on her sophomore studio album, Revival (2015).
