Adam Hughes (born May 3, 1967) is an American comic book artist and illustrator who has provided illustration work for companies such as DC Comics, Marvel Comics, Dark Horse Comics, Lucasfilm, Warner Bros. Pictures, Playboy magazine, Joss Whedon's Mutant Enemy Productions and Sideshow Collectibles.
He is best known to American comic book readers for his renderings of pinup-style female characters, and his cover work on titles such as Wonder Woman and Catwoman. He is known as one of comics' foremost cheesecake artists, and one of the best known and distinctive comic book cover artists.
Adam Hughes was born in 1967 in Riverside Township, New Jersey and grew up in Florence Township, New Jersey, staying there until he was 24.
Hughes, who had no formal training in art, began his career in 1987. His first comic book work was a pinup in Eagle #6. He penciled two short stories and the first issue of Death Hawk, created by Mark Ellis. In 1988 Hughes' work appeared in Comico's Maze Agency with co-creator/writer Mike W. Barr. Hughes produced his first color work for the book, and because he aspired to ink his own work one day, took Wagner's suggestion that he produce pinups on each issue's back cover as an advertisement for the next issue in order to practice inking his own pencils. Hughes stayed on the series for a year. In 1989, he did his first work for DC Comics, doing both covers and interior art on Justice League America for two years, before switching to providing covers only.
Adam (Hebrew: אָדָם; Aramaic/Syriac: ܐܕܡ; Arabic: آدم) is a figure from the Book of Genesis who is also mentioned in the New Testament, the deuterocanonical books, the Quran, the Book of Mormon, and the Book of Iqan. According to the creation myth of the Abrahamic religions, he was the first human.
In the Genesis creation narratives, he was created by Yahweh-Elohim ("Yahweh-God", the god of Israel), though the term "adam" can refer to both the first individual person, as well as to the general creation of humankind. Christian churches differ on how they view Adam's subsequent behavior of disobeying God (often called the Fall of man), and to the consequences that those actions had on the rest of humanity. Christian and Jewish teachings sometimes hold Adam and Eve (the first woman) to a different level of responsibility for the Fall, though Islamic teaching holds both equally responsible. In addition, Islam holds that Adam was eventually forgiven, while Christianity holds that redemption occurred only later through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. The Bahá'í Faith, Islam and some Christian denominations consider Adam to be the first prophet.
San Diego /ˌsæn diːˈeɪɡoʊ/ (Spanish for "Saint Didacus") is a major city in California, on the coast of the Pacific Ocean in Southern California, approximately 120 miles (190 km) south of Los Angeles and immediately adjacent to the border with Mexico.
With an estimated population of 1,381,069 as of July 1, 2014, San Diego is the eighth-largest city in the United States and second-largest in California. San Diego is the birthplace of California and is known for its mild year-round climate, natural deep-water harbor, extensive beaches, long association with the U.S. Navy, and recent emergence as a healthcare and biotechnology development center.
Historically home to the Kumeyaay people, San Diego was the first site visited by Europeans on what is now the West Coast of the United States. Upon landing in San Diego Bay in 1542, Juan Rodríguez Cabrillo claimed the entire area for Spain, forming the basis for the settlement of Alta California 200 years later. The Presidio and Mission of San Diego, founded in 1769, formed the first European settlement in what is now California. In 1821, San Diego became part of newly independent Mexico, and in 1850, became part of the United States following the Mexican–American War and the admission of California to the union.

Adam hughes interview at nycc 2013 sorry for the late upload
Catching up with Adam at HEROES was fantastic! We talked about his work (coming back to interiors) on Before Watchmen and mostly about the controversy involved with the book and the other writers and artists. It's an extremely interesting interview and I was very humbled to get the scoop on the prequel (as it were) on one of, if not, the most famous graphic novel of the last 30 years. We also discussed his cover art for Fables with Bill Willingham! The Interview actually stretched a little longer but got cut short because the battery in the camera died. In the extended portion I asked Adam what his favorite cover of all time was. It may come as no surprise to some of you out there, but it's the image directly to the left here - Power Girl floating above the clouds. That's his fa...

i'm dreaming it so it must be true
nothing else could look as good as you do
and so we're a rocket goal
up to where the astros flow into space
don't hold me down
atom eyes
don't worry your brain
take a break from everyday
sell the house, the car, the pain
atom eyes
i'm running away from your blues
atom eyes with sprinklers are spraying perfume
escape from the part of me
there's a million heartstrings ready to fly
let's pull them now
atom eyes
don't worry your brain
take a break from everyday
sell the house, the car, the pain
atom eyes
just be sure to live again
atom eyes
don't worry your brain
take a break from everyday
