i’m gunna make this more brief and try and let the content speak for itself. but there are some cool things that make this video noteworthy. this is the extended cut of our performance on NBC’s World of Dance Qualifiers Round. When we were shooting the show I actually realized that we wouldn’t have any creative control over editing, shot selection, etc. Being someone that has produced, directed, and edited my own videos for years letting that creative control go was hard for me. So I thought that if we could find some time it would be cool to make our own video for youtube in our normal style of production so that we could have the best of both world’s.
Hopefully you guys enjoy this, and hopefully everyone enjoyed our debut performance as Ian Eastwood & The Young Lions on NBC’s World Of Dance. Again, we can’t be more thankful for everyone’s support on our journey lately it means a lot. till next one y’all!

in case you're confused on what this is, this is 1/3 of a submission we turned in for the new television show on NBC called World Of Dance.
i first got the call to go on the show some time in the middle of summer last year but just had so much going on at the time i couldn't really focus on what this opportunity was. so when the fall swung around, i remember getting a call from nappytabs the day me and some young lions were performing "Doubt It" at WOD Citywalk.
All the sudden, this talk felt like this show would be something different, we could really be ourselves, we could be free of challenges, free of stupid song choices that you have to pretend your crew picked etc. we could go out there and just do our thing...and that's something i really connected with...just going out there and being who we are.
it's crazy to look back on this and know how much more i've gotten to know each of these individuals over the last year and how much i thought i knew them at the time. we shot this interview in november the same day as the two pieces we turned in (as well as the same day we staged and learned those same pieces hahaha). the next day i edited the 8min submission and turned it in.
ian eastwood & the young lions, a direction i never anticipated, but it has developed out of time, energy, and love spent on my students over the years to a point where now we have this thing. it is not well defined because it is more of an enigma. most of it revolves around people's energy. there are no auditions. the only way you earn a spot on this group is if i see your desire to be great and you have a solid hard working, eager to learn attitude. time+hard work+thirst for knowledge+opportunity= success.
gunna be dropping 1 piece from our submission that the world has never seen tonight in honor of the next WOD episode airing. stay tuned. again, CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR FELLOW DANCERS FOR GETTING TO SHOWCASE THEIR CRAFT ON THIS SHOW! this is BIG for dance!

Originally choreographed in 2015 right when my good friend Super Duper Kyle’s album Smyle dropped I never had a chance to shoot an official video for this piece. But when it was time to send in our submission for WOD I didn’t want to waste the opportunity of a video shoot on something i’ve already released. So me and the boys went back through the vault and picked out two pieces that we thought were up to par with my current material at the time (nov. ’17) and 1 of the 2 pieces was SuperDuperHero (featuring my awesome friend Brick). We picked the piece cause the choreo had a good balance of character/performance quality as well as intricate physical choreo on parts like the beat drop.
Fun facts : most of the dancers learned both 2min pieces earlier that day. then immediately learned the staging. wardrobe was purchased on our dinner break before we started shooting. we shot both pieces and the interview all in one night in one room and changed the looks as many ways as possible with just a couple lights and a fog machine.

Lion
The lion (Panthera leo) is one of the five big cats in the genus Panthera and a member of the family Felidae. The commonly used term African lion collectively denotes the several subspecies found in Africa. With some males exceeding 250 kg (550 lb) in weight, it is the second-largest living cat after the tiger. Wild lions currently exist in sub-Saharan Africa and in Asia (where an endangered remnant population resides in Gir Forest National Park in India) while other types of lions have disappeared from North Africa and Southwest Asia in historic times. Until the late Pleistocene, about 10,000 years ago, the lion was the most widespread large land mammal after humans. They were found in most of Africa, across Eurasia from western Europe to India, and in the Americas from the Yukon to Peru. The lion is a vulnerable species, having seen a major population decline in its African range of 30–50% per two decades during the second half of the twentieth century. Lion populations are untenable outside designated reserves and national parks. Although the cause of the decline is not fully understood, habitat loss and conflicts with humans are currently the greatest causes of concern. Within Africa, the West African lion population is particularly endangered.

i’m gunna make this more brief and try and let the content speak for itself. but there are some cool things that make this video noteworthy. this is the extended cut of our performance on NBC’s World of Dance Qualifiers Round. When we were shooting the show I actually realized that we wouldn’t have any creative control over editing, shot selection, etc. Being someone that has produced, directed, and edited my own videos for years letting that creative control go was hard for me. So I thought that if we could find some time it would be cool to make our own video for youtube in our normal style of production so that we could have the best of both world’s. Hopefully you guys enjoy this, and hopefully everyone enjoyed our debut performance as Ian Eastwood & The Young Lions on NBC’s World Of Dance. in case you're confused on what this is, this is 1/3 of a submission we turned in for the new television show on NBC called World Of Dance. i first got the call to go on the show some time in the middle of summer last year but just had so much going on at the time i couldn't really focus on what this opportunity was. so when the fall swung around, i remember getting a call from nappytabs the day me and some young lions were performing "Doubt It" at WOD Citywalk. All the sudden, this talk felt like this show would be something different, we could really be ourselves, we could be free of challenges, free of stupid song choices that you have to pretend your crew picked etc. we could go out there and just do our thing...and that's something i really connected with...just going out there and being who we are. it's crazy to look back on this and know how much more i've gotten to know each of these individuals over the last year and how much i thought i knew them at the time. we shot this interview in november the same day as the two pieces we turned in (as well as the same day we staged and learned those same pieces hahaha). the next day i edited the 8min submission and turned it in. ian eastwood & the young lions, a direction i never anticipated, but it has developed out of time, energy, and love spent on my students over the years to a point where now we have this thing. it is not well defined because it is more of an enigma. most of it revolves around people's energy. there are no auditions. the only way you earn a spot on this group is if i see your desire to be great and you have a solid hard working, eager to learn attitude. time+hard work+thirst for knowledge+opportunity= success. gunna be dropping 1 piece from our submission that the world has never seen tonight in honor of the next WOD episode airing. stay tuned. again, CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR FELLOW DANCERS FOR GETTING TO SHOWCASE THEIR CRAFT ON THIS SHOW! this is BIG for dance! go follow our accounts for the group itself to stay updated on what all these awesome guys are up to. Originally choreographed in 2015 right when my good friend Super Duper Kyle’s album Smyle dropped I never had a chance to shoot an official video for this piece. But when it was time to send in our submission for WOD I didn’t want to waste the opportunity of a video shoot on something i’ve already released. So me and the boys went back through the vault and picked out two pieces that we thought were up to par with my current material at the time (nov. ’17) and 1 of the 2 pieces was SuperDuperHero (featuring my awesome friend Brick). We picked the piece cause the choreo had a good balance of character/performance quality as well as intricate physical choreo on parts like the beat drop. i’m gunna make this more brief and try and let the content speak for itself. but there are some cool things that make this video noteworthy. this is the extended cut of our performance on NBC’s World of Dance Qualifiers Round. When we were shooting the show I actually realized that we wouldn’t have any creative control over editing, shot selection, etc. Being someone that has produced, directed, and edited my own videos for years letting that creative control go was hard for me. So I thought that if we could find some time it would be cool to make our own video for youtube in our normal style of production so that we could have the best of both world’s.
Hopefully you guys enjoy this, and hopefully everyone enjoyed our debut performance as Ian Eastwood & The Young Lions on NBC’s World Of Dance. Again, we can’t be more thankful for everyone’s support on our journey lately it means a lot. till next one y’all!

in case you're confused on what this is, this is 1/3 of a submission we turned in for the new television show on NBC called World Of Dance.
i first got the call to go on the show some time in the middle of summer last year but just had so much going on at the time i couldn't really focus on what this opportunity was. so when the fall swung around, i remember getting a call from nappytabs the day me and some young lions were performing "Doubt It" at WOD Citywalk.
All the sudden, this talk felt like this show would be something different, we could really be ourselves, we could be free of challenges, free of stupid song choices that you have to pretend your crew picked etc. we could go out there and just do our thing...and that's something i really connected with...just going out there and being who we are.
it's crazy to look back on this and know how much more i've gotten to know each of these individuals over the last year and how much i thought i knew them at the time. we shot this interview in november the same day as the two pieces we turned in (as well as the same day we staged and learned those same pieces hahaha). the next day i edited the 8min submission and turned it in.
ian eastwood & the young lions, a direction i never anticipated, but it has developed out of time, energy, and love spent on my students over the years to a point where now we have this thing. it is not well defined because it is more of an enigma. most of it revolves around people's energy. there are no auditions. the only way you earn a spot on this group is if i see your desire to be great and you have a solid hard working, eager to learn attitude. time+hard work+thirst for knowledge+opportunity= success.
gunna be dropping 1 piece from our submission that the world has never seen tonight in honor of the next WOD episode airing. stay tuned. again, CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR FELLOW DANCERS FOR GETTING TO SHOWCASE THEIR CRAFT ON THIS SHOW! this is BIG for dance!

Originally choreographed in 2015 right when my good friend Super Duper Kyle’s album Smyle dropped I never had a chance to shoot an official video for this piece. But when it was time to send in our submission for WOD I didn’t want to waste the opportunity of a video shoot on something i’ve already released. So me and the boys went back through the vault and picked out two pieces that we thought were up to par with my current material at the time (nov. ’17) and 1 of the 2 pieces was SuperDuperHero (featuring my awesome friend Brick). We picked the piece cause the choreo had a good balance of character/performance quality as well as intricate physical choreo on parts like the beat drop.
Fun facts : most of the dancers learned both 2min pieces earlier that day. then immediately learned the staging. wardrobe was purchased on our dinner break before we started shooting. we shot both pieces and the interview all in one night in one room and changed the looks as many ways as possible with just a couple lights and a fog machine.

i’m gunna make this more brief and try and let the content speak for itself. but there are some cool things that make this video noteworthy. this is the extended cut of our performance on NBC’s World of Dance Qualifiers Round. When we were shooting the show I actually realized that we wouldn’t have any creative control over editing, shot selection, etc. Being someone that has produced, directed, and edited my own videos for years letting that creative control go was hard for me. So I thought that if we could find some time it would be cool to make our own video for youtube in our normal style of production so that we could have the best of both world’s.
Hopefully you guys enjoy this, and hopefully everyone enjoyed our debut performance as Ian Eastwood & The Young Lions on NBC’s World Of Dance. Again, we can’t be more thankful for everyone’s support on our journey lately it means a lot. till next one y’all!

in case you're confused on what this is, this is 1/3 of a submission we turned in for the new television show on NBC called World Of Dance.
i first got the call to go on the show some time in the middle of summer last year but just had so much going on at the time i couldn't really focus on what this opportunity was. so when the fall swung around, i remember getting a call from nappytabs the day me and some young lions were performing "Doubt It" at WOD Citywalk.
All the sudden, this talk felt like this show would be something different, we could really be ourselves, we could be free of challenges, free of stupid song choices that you have to pretend your crew picked etc. we could go out there and just do our thing...and that's something i really connected with...just going out there and being who we are.
it's crazy to look back on this and know how much more i've gotten to know each of these individuals over the last year and how much i thought i knew them at the time. we shot this interview in november the same day as the two pieces we turned in (as well as the same day we staged and learned those same pieces hahaha). the next day i edited the 8min submission and turned it in.
ian eastwood & the young lions, a direction i never anticipated, but it has developed out of time, energy, and love spent on my students over the years to a point where now we have this thing. it is not well defined because it is more of an enigma. most of it revolves around people's energy. there are no auditions. the only way you earn a spot on this group is if i see your desire to be great and you have a solid hard working, eager to learn attitude. time+hard work+thirst for knowledge+opportunity= success.

it's crazy to look back on this and know how much more i've gotten to know each of these individuals over the last year and how much i thought i knew them at the time. we shot this interview in november the same day as the two pieces we turned in (as well as the same day we staged and learned those same pieces hahaha). the next day i edited the 8min submission and turned it in.
ian eastwood & the young lions, a direction i never anticipated, but it has developed out of time, energy, and love spent on my students over the years to a point where now we have this thing. it is not well defined because it is more of an enigma. most of it revolves around people's energy. there are no auditions. the only way you earn a spot on this group is if i see your desire to be great and you have a solid hard working, eager to learn attitude. time+hard work+thirst for knowledge+opportunity= success.

Originally choreographed in 2015 right when my good friend Super Duper Kyle’s album Smyle dropped I never had a chance to shoot an official video for this piece. But when it was time to send in our submission for WOD I didn’t want to waste the opportunity of a video shoot on something i’ve already released. So me and the boys went back through the vault and picked out two pieces that we thought were up to par with my current material at the time (nov. ’17) and 1 of the 2 pieces was SuperDuperHero (featuring my awesome friend Brick). We picked the piece cause the choreo had a good balance of character/performance quality as well as intricate physical choreo on parts like the beat drop.
Fun facts : most of the dancers learned both 2min pieces earlier that day. then immediately learned the staging. wardrobe was purchased on our dinner break before we started shooting. we shot both pieces and the interview all in one night in one room and changed the looks as many ways as possible with just a couple lights and a fog machine.
