Mimosa Road, Greenfield Park, New South Wales, Australia Fri, 12th February 2016 NSW Police Media NSW Police investigate stabbing – Greenfield Park Friday, 12 February 2016 08:45:30 PM Police are appealing for witnesses following a stabbing at Greenfield Park this evening. About 7pm (Friday 12 February 2016), a 21-year-old man was driving along Mimosa Road with a passenger when he stopped at lights at the intersection of Smithfield Road. A green sedan stopped next to his vehicle, when the two drivers spoke to each other. Police have been told the man exited his vehicle and approached the sedan, when the male driver of the green vehicle exited his vehicle, together with a number of passengers. An altercation ensued between the man and the group of people, before the 21-year-old was stabbed in the abdomen area. The group returned to the sedan before driving from the scene, and emergency services were called. Ambulance Paramedics assisted the injured man before he was taken to Liverpool Hospital where he is currently undergoing surgery. Officers attached to Fairfield Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene. As inquiries into the incident continue, police would like to speak to any witnesses who have not yet come forward, as well as the driver and passengers in the green vehicle.
