Here is "Foggy Bottom", written by Jerry Reed. This tune is from his 2006 album "Let's Git It On". For the last year I've been working on dozens of great Jerry Reed compositions in the Berklee "Atkins/Reed Ensemble" led by Rick Peckham. I'm still working on polishing this one up but couldn't resist posting it for some end of the semester fun and a much needed break from studying. It's been a joy to work on so many great Jerry Reed masterpieces. Keep your eyes and years open for more Reed songs/videos from me in the near future! Enjoy! Played on a Collings OM2H.

Boundaries
According to the Washington Post, Foggy Bottom is bordered by Pennsylvania Ave to the north, 17th St NW to the east, Constitution Ave to the South and Rock Creek Parkway to the West. The neighborhoods around Foggy Bottom include the West End, Dupont Circle, Georgetown, and downtown.
History
Foggy Bottom originally got its name because during the 1800s, this neighborhood was known as the low lying area where smog would hover. Rowhomes were built here during the mid 19th century which housed many industrial workers as well as breweries of all things. The area began to develop when George Washington University, then known as Columbian College was established in 1821 and moved to Foggy Bottom in 1912. By the mid 20th century many of the older rowhomes were replaced with large apartment buildings however there are still some rowhomes throughout the area. It is home to the Watergate building where the infamous break in at the Democratic national Committee office which led to president Nixon’s resignation. The building is still a prestigious address and home to many prominent DC politicians, businessmen, and leaders.
Character
Foggy Bottom is one of the top cultural destinations in DC with the Kennedy Center, the shops and restaurants of Georgetown, several embassies, and GW University all located within the community. The Kennedy Center is the top place in DC for shows and the embassies in the neighborhood are always hosting various events. Georgetown, located just blocks away is a great area for dining, shopping, as well as exploring the waterfront area and Dupont Circle is located very close by as well. As far as grocery shopping you have a whole foods and a Trader Joes within walking distance. Overall Foggy Bottom is a convenient urban neighborhood with everything at your doorstep.
Transportation
Foggy Bottom is a centrally located neighborhood with its own metro station which opened in 1977. If you prefer to ride the bus there are several bus routes that serve the neighborhood. This is also a walkable community and many people also ride bikes here. If you prefer to drive, you are just a couple minutes away from major highways like I-66 and the GW parkway, although parking in this neighborhood can be tight since this is an urban neighborhood.
Types of Houses
The types of real estate here including stately, historic row homes, luxury co-ops including the Watergate, as well as large condo buildings. Since you are in a dense, urban, area typically you are not going to get a ton of square footage, and there are not single family homes with yards, however the location is great. The most famous building here, the Watergate is composed of six buildings, 650 residences, and depending on which unity you buy, can offer some amazing views of the Potomac River. Most of the real estate here is condos and co-ops and can be very expensive since this neighborhood is so convenient being just steps outside of Georgetown. Many of the larger buildings here like the Watergate and ---- were built during the 1970s however its common to see the renovations. Be sure to check the co-op or condo fee as well because sometimes those can get a little high.
Conclusion
If you want to live in an urban neighborhood with all of the amenities of DC right at your doorstep then Foggy Bottom is for you. Most of the real estate here are large condos, co-ops, and apartments so if you are looking for a ton of space you may have to go further outside of the city. Residents here love the central location and people pay a premium to live in perhaps the most convenient neighborhood in all of DC.

Foggy Bottom
Foggy Bottom is one of the oldest late 18th and 19th-century neighborhoods in Washington, D.C. Foggy Bottom is west of downtown Washington, in the Northwest quadrant, bounded roughly by 17th Street to the east, Rock Creek Parkway to the west, Constitution Avenue to the south, and Pennsylvania Avenue to the north. Much of Foggy Bottom is occupied by the main campus of George Washington University (GW). Foggy Bottom is thought to have received its name due to its riverside location, which made it susceptible to concentrations of fog and industrial smoke, an atmospheric quirk.
The United States Department of State gained the metonym "Foggy Bottom" when it moved its headquarters to the nearby Harry S Truman Building in 1947.
History
The Foggy Bottom area was the site of one of the earliest settlements in what is now the District of Columbia, when German settler Jacob Funk subdivided 130 acres (0.53 km2) near the meeting place of the Potomac River and Rock Creek in 1763. The settlement officially was named Hamburgh, but colloquially was called Funkstown. In 1765, German settlers established the town of Hamburg on what would become the area between 24th and 18th NW Street. Jacob Funk (or Funck), the recorded founder of Hamburg, allegedly bought the land and divided it into 287 lots of land. There are reportedly two more founders: Robert Peter and James Linigan. The three had control of the land until 1791 when the territories were given to the city of Washington and the United States government. In the town of Hamburg, a German community was founded by many German immigrants.

Jerry Reed
Jerry Reed Hubbard (March 20, 1937 – September 1, 2008), known professionally as Jerry Reed, was an American country music singer, guitarist, and songwriter, as well as an actor who appeared in more than a dozen films. His signature songs included “Guitar Man,” “U.S. Male,” “A Thing Called Love,” “Alabama Wild Man,” “Amos Moses,” “When You're Hot, You're Hot” (which garnered a Grammy Award for Best Male Country Vocal Performance), “Ko-Ko Joe,” “Lord, Mr. Ford,” “East Bound and Down” (the theme song for the 1977 blockbuster Smokey and the Bandit, in which Reed co-starred), “The Bird,” and “She Got the Goldmine (I Got the Shaft).”
Early life
Reed was born in Atlanta, Georgia, the second child of Robert and Cynthia Hubbard. Reed’s grandparents lived in Rockmart, and he would visit them from time to time. He was quoted as saying as a small child, while running around strumming his guitar, “I am gonna be a star. I’m gonna go to Nashville and be a star.” Reed’s parents separated four months after his birth, and he and his sister spent seven years in foster homes or orphanages. Reed was reunited with his mother and stepfather in 1944. Music and impromptu performances helped ease the stressful times the new family was under.

Washington, D.C.
Washington, D.C., formally the District of Columbia and commonly referred to as "Washington", "the District", or simply "D.C.", is the capital of the United States. The signing of the Residence Act on July 16, 1790, approved the creation of a capital district located along the Potomac River on the country's East Coast. The U.S. Constitution provided for a federal district under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Congress and the District is therefore not a part of any U.S. state.
The states of Maryland and Virginia each donated land to form the federal district, which included the pre-existing settlements of Georgetown and Alexandria. Named in honor of George Washington, the City of Washington was founded in 1791 to serve as the new national capital. In 1846, Congress returned the land originally ceded by Virginia; in 1871, it created a single municipal government for the remaining portion of the District.
Washington had an estimated population of 672,228 as of July 2015. Commuters from the surrounding Maryland and Virginia suburbs raise the city's population to more than one million during the workweek. Earl Scruggs
Earl Eugene Scruggs (January 6, 1924 – March 28, 2012) was an American musician noted for perfecting and popularizing a three-finger banjo-picking style (now called "Scruggs style") that is a defining characteristic of bluegrass music.
Although other musicians had played in three-finger style before him, Scruggs shot to prominence when he was hired by Bill Monroe to fill the banjo slot in his group, The Blue Grass Boys. He later reached a mainstream audience through his performance of "The Ballad of Jed Clampett", the theme for the network television hit The Beverly Hillbillies, in the early 1960s.
Early life
Scruggs was born and grew up in the Flint Hill community in Cleveland County, North Carolina, to Georgia Lula Ruppe and George Elam Scruggs, a farmer and bookkeeper, who played banjo and died when Scruggs was four years old. His older brothers, Junie and Horace, plus his two older sisters, Eula Mae and Ruby, all played banjo and guitar. Scruggs' mother played the organ.

Here is "Foggy Bottom", written by Jerry Reed. This tune is from his 2006 album "Let's Git It On". For the last year I've been working on dozens of great Jerry Reed compositions in the Berklee "Atkins/Reed Ensemble" led by Rick Peckham. I'm still working on polishing this one up but couldn't resist posting it for some end of the semester fun and a much needed break from studying. Boundaries
According to the Washington Post, Foggy Bottom is bordered by Pennsylvania Ave to the north, 17th St NW to the east, Constitution Ave to the South and Rock Creek Parkway to the West. The neighborhoods around Foggy Bottom include the West End, Dupont Circle, Georgetown, and downtown.
History
Foggy Bottom originally got its name because during the 1800s, this neighborhood was known as the low lying area where smog would hover. Rowhomes were built here during the mid 19th century which housed many industrial workers as well as breweries of all things. The area began to develop when George Washington University, then known as Columbian College was established in 1821 and moved to Foggy Bottom in 1912. By the mid 20th century many of the older rowhomes were replaced with large apartment buildings however there are still some rowhomes throughout the area. It is home to the Watergate building where the infamous break in at the Democratic national Committee office which led to president Nixon’s resignation. The building is still a prestigious address and home to many prominent DC politicians, businessmen, and leaders.
Character
Foggy Bottom is one of the top cultural destinations in DC with the Kennedy Center, the shops and restaurants of Georgetown, several embassies, and GW University all located within the community. The Kennedy Center is the top place in DC for shows and the embassies in the neighborhood are always hosting various events. Georgetown, located just blocks away is a great area for dining, shopping, as well as exploring the waterfront area and Dupont Circle is located very close by as well. As far as grocery shopping you have a whole foods and a Trader Joes within walking distance. Overall Foggy Bottom is a convenient urban neighborhood with everything at your doorstep.
Transportation
Foggy Bottom is a centrally located neighborhood with its own metro station which opened in 1977. If you prefer to ride the bus there are several bus routes that serve the neighborhood. This is also a walkable community and many people also ride bikes here. If you prefer to drive, you are just a couple minutes away from major highways like I-66 and the GW parkway, although parking in this neighborhood can be tight since this is an urban neighborhood.
Types of Houses
The types of real estate here including stately, historic row homes, luxury co-ops including the Watergate, as well as large condo buildings. Since you are in a dense, urban, area typically you are not going to get a ton of square footage, and there are not single family homes with yards, however the location is great. The most famous building here, the Watergate is composed of six buildings, 650 residences, and depending on which unity you buy, can offer some amazing views of the Potomac River. Most of the real estate here is condos and co-ops and can be very expensive since this neighborhood is so convenient being just steps outside of Georgetown. Many of the larger buildings here like the Watergate and ---- were built during the 1970s however its common to see the renovations. Be sure to check the co-op or condo fee as well because sometimes those can get a little high.
Conclusion
If you want to live in an urban neighborhood with all of the amenities of DC right at your doorstep then Foggy Bottom is for you. Most of the real estate here are large condos, co-ops, and apartments so if you are looking for a ton of space you may have to go further outside of the city. Residents here love the central location and people pay a premium to live in perhaps the most convenient neighborhood in all of DC.

For the last year I've been working on dozens of great Jerry Reed compositions in the Berklee "Atkins/Reed Ensemble" led by Rick Peckham. I'm still working on polishing this one up but couldn't resist posting it for some end of the semester fun and a much needed break from studying. Boundaries
According to the Washington Post, Foggy Bottom is bordered by Pennsylvania Ave to the north, 17th St NW to the east, Constitution Ave to the South and Rock Creek Parkway to the West. The neighborhoods around Foggy Bottom include the West End, Dupont Circle, Georgetown, and downtown.
History
Foggy Bottom originally got its name because during the 1800s, this neighborhood was known as the low lying area where smog would hover. Rowhomes were built here during the mid 19th century which housed many industrial workers as well as breweries of all things. The area began to develop when George Washington University, then known as Columbian College was established in 1821 and moved to Foggy Bottom in 1912. By the mid 20th century many of the older rowhomes were replaced with large apartment buildings however there are still some rowhomes throughout the area. It is home to the Watergate building where the infamous break in at the Democratic national Committee office which led to president Nixon’s resignation. The building is still a prestigious address and home to many prominent DC politicians, businessmen, and leaders.
Character
Foggy Bottom is one of the top cultural destinations in DC with the Kennedy Center, the shops and restaurants of Georgetown, several embassies, and GW University all located within the community. The Kennedy Center is the top place in DC for shows and the embassies in the neighborhood are always hosting various events. Georgetown, located just blocks away is a great area for dining, shopping, as well as exploring the waterfront area and Dupont Circle is located very close by as well. As far as grocery shopping you have a whole foods and a Trader Joes within walking distance. Overall Foggy Bottom is a convenient urban neighborhood with everything at your doorstep.
Transportation
Foggy Bottom is a centrally located neighborhood with its own metro station which opened in 1977. If you prefer to ride the bus there are several bus routes that serve the neighborhood. This is also a walkable community and many people also ride bikes here. If you prefer to drive, you are just a couple minutes away from major highways like I-66 and the GW parkway, although parking in this neighborhood can be tight since this is an urban neighborhood.

The types of real estate here including stately, historic row homes, luxury co-ops including the Watergate, as well as large condo buildings. Since you are in a dense, urban, area typically you are not going to get a ton of square footage, and there are not single family homes with yards, however the location is great. The most famous building here, the Watergate is composed of six buildings, 650 residences, and depending on which unity you buy, can offer some amazing views of the Potomac River. Most of the real estate here is condos and co-ops and can be very expensive since this neighborhood is so convenient being just steps outside of Georgetown. Many of the larger buildings here like the Watergate and ---- were built during the 1970s however its common to see the renovations. Be sure to check the co-op or condo fee as well because sometimes those can get a little high.
Conclusion
If you want to live in an urban neighborhood with all of the amenities of DC right at your doorstep then Foggy Bottom is for you. Most of the real estate here are large condos, co-ops, and apartments so if you are looking for a ton of space you may have to go further outside of the city. Quake: Arcane Dimensions - ad_swampy (100% Nightmare)
Playthrough of ad_swampy from Arcane Dimensions on Nightmare difficulty and achieving 100% kills and secrets... sort of. I've completed this map a dozen times and I always end up with 1 or 2 kills short. I've noclipped the entire map looking for missing monsters but I could never find anything, so I assume some spawners are broken or I'm missing a hidden trigger somewhere. UPDATE: I found the remaining 2 kills thanks to MFX's tip, check it out here: http://tinyurl.com/h9v7ypj Anyway, about the map itself... it's huge! It was extremely overwhelming on my first playthrough and I spent days looking for all the 25 secrets and memorising the layout. It was well worth it, although I still get a bit lost sometimes. The theme and aesthetics are amazing, but the map size is just really overwhelm...

Foggy Bottom All Terrain Challenge 2015
This was the first ever All Terrain Challenge ever put on by Foggy bottom raceway. I would say they did a pretty decent job. I have never been there before so I did not start doing the jumps until my 3rd lap. Also I only did one of the 2 motos but finished 3rd in the first one out of 5.

Anyway, about the map itself... it's huge! It was extremely overwhelming on my first playthrough and I spent days looking for all the 25 secrets and memorising the layout. It was well worth it, although I still get a bit lost sometimes. The theme and aesthetics are amazing, but the map size is just really overwhelming. I got pretty tired of playing this one, but I'm glad I got it on video.

01. (00:26) Shoot the switch to open up an area holding a Nailgun.
02. (00:53) Hidden underwater cave containing Yellow Armour.
03. (03:28) Press switch to gain access to the Shadow Axe.
04. (04:11) Use the elevator to access hidden Quad Damage.
05. (05:30) Use the ramp to jump to a secret area.
06. (06:14) Shoot window for a Mega Health.
07. (06:20) Shoot button to access an ammo depot.
08. (09:02) Shoot ceiling button, jump into the water and collect the Grenade Launcher.
09. (12:08) Break wood for hidden Quad Damage.
10. (13:02) Tear down wood and do some platforming to access a Widowmaker Shotgun and a Tome of Power.
11. (18:04) Shoot down the wooden ceiling for Quad Damage.

We kept the waves up to the boss none fast forwarded, because we felt being able to gauge the timings for waves is important, as failing and getting overwhelmed by adds would lead to the insatnce.. we did spare you from having to wtach us kill the boss for 20 minutes by fast forwarding through the repetitive parts. They are still there, just sped up. Hope you'll enjoy the video.
