The 38-year-old was playing social basketball at Melville Recreation Centre on Monday evening when, police allege, he became irate at a call during the game and stormed out.

"It is alleged the man walked out of the centre to his car where he retrieved a handgun and concealed it under his jumper," a spokeswoman said.
"He was stopped from re-entering the centre by friends."
Police allegedly located a nine millimetre handgun at the man's home during a search warrant executed on Tuesday.
He has been charged with being armed in a way that may cause fear and carrying or using an unlicensed handgun and will appear in Fremantle Magistrates Court on June 26.
