This spot is one of the great secrets of Tokyo. Hidden just 5 meters from the busiest street in the city lies a shrine dating back to the Edo period. HANABUSA SHRINE or "Hanabusa Inari Jinja" is a place I first learned about 10 years ago on a location shoot for TV and still to this day, it's still a totally unknown spot. Shhhh! Let's keep it this way.

Hi again everyone! Here's my journey to Akihabara and Shibuya! I really enjoyed it. For Akiba, I got to see many Gashapons being displayed and also popping into all the anime merchandise store. Not only that, a maid cafe as well! My next trip was to Shibuya. The shopping there is spectacular! Fun to see and explore around. I fangirl-ed a little to have the great experience to walk on the famous Shibuya 4 way cross road. Plus, feeling like I was in the anime world too. If any of you watch Durarara or K project you know what I mean. Hahaha. Good news ... I was able to visit Ikebukuro! Stay tuned for that soon. ^_^
P.S - The little boy who couldn't stop pulling my hand was my mother's friend's son's .... child/son. Hope that made sense! haha.

If there is one place in Tokyo that does not need any introduction, it is undoubtedly the Akihabara district! It was after the second world war that Akihabara became Tokyo’s hottest market for electronics and other household goods. However it wasn’t until around 1980 that Akihabara started to became the place to go for all your computer needs. Today you can see that Akihabara has again shifted its focus in other directions, including cheap duty free stores, cosplay cafes, animes and mangas.
To be fair, the Akihabara that we all loved in the early 2000’s is dead and there is pretty much nothing interesting to do there besides exploring the gigantic multi storage Yodobashi Camera store.
Bottom line, don’t waste your time there since nowadays everything can be ordered online and shipped internationally!

Akihabara
Akihabara (秋葉原) is a district in the Chiyoda ward of Tokyo, Japan. The name Akihabara is a shortening of Akibagahara (秋葉が原, "autumn leaf field"), which ultimately comes from Akiba (秋葉), named after a fire-controlling deity of a firefighting shrine built after the area was destroyed by a fire in 1869.
Akihabara gained the nickname Akihabara Electric Town (秋葉原電気街, Akihabara Denki Gai) shortly after World War II for being a major shopping center for household electronic goods and the post-war black market. Nowadays, Akihabara is considered by many to be an otaku cultural center and a shopping district for video games, anime, manga, and computer goods. Icons from popular anime and manga are displayed prominently on the shops in the area, and numerous maid cafés are found throughout the district.
Geography
The main area of Akihabara is located on a street just west of Akihabara Station, where most of the major shops are situated. Most of the electronics shops are just west of the station, and the anime and manga shops and the cosplay cafés are north of them.

Today you can see that Akihabara has again shifted its focus in other directions, including cheap duty free stores, cosplay cafes, animes and mangas. To be fair, the Akihabara that we all loved in the early 2000’s is dead and there is pretty much nothing interesting to do there besides exploring the gigantic multi storage Yodobashi Camera store. For Akiba, I got to see many Gashapons being displayed and also popping into all the anime merchandise store. Not only that, a maid cafe as well! My next trip was to Shibuya. The shopping there is spectacular! Fun to see and explore around. I fangirl-ed a little to have the great experience to walk on the famous Shibuya 4 way cross road. This spot is one of the great secrets of Tokyo. Hidden just 5 meters from the busiest street in the city lies a shrine dating back to the Edo period. HANABUSA SHRINE or "Hanabusa Inari Jinja" is a place I first learned about 10 years ago on a location shoot for TV and still to this day, it's still a totally unknown spot. Shhhh! Let's keep it this way.

PLEASE WATCH in 720HD & OPEN FOR MORE INFO! TQ. :)
Hi again everyone! Here's my journey to Akihabara and Shibuya! I really enjoyed it. For Akiba, I got to see many Gashapons being displayed and also popping into all the anime merchandise store. Not only that, a maid cafe as well! My next trip was to Shibuya. The shopping there is spectacular! Fun to see and explore around. I fangirl-ed a little to have the great experience to walk on the famous Shibuya 4 way cross road. Plus, feeling like I was in the anime world too. If any of you watch Durarara or K project you know what I mean. Hahaha. Good news ... I was able to visit Ikebukuro! Stay tuned for that soon. ^_^
P.S - The little boy who couldn't stop pulling my hand was my mother's friend's son's .... child/son. Hope that made sense! haha.

If there is one place in Tokyo that does not need any introduction, it is undoubtedly the Akihabara district! It was after the second world war that Akihabara became Tokyo’s hottest market for electronics and other household goods. However it wasn’t until around 1980 that Akihabara started to became the place to go for all your computer needs. Today you can see that Akihabara has again shifted its focus in other directions, including cheap duty free stores, cosplay cafes, animes and mangas.
To be fair, the Akihabara that we all loved in the early 2000’s is dead and there is pretty much nothing interesting to do there besides exploring the gigantic multi storage Yodobashi Camera store.
Bottom line, don’t waste your time there since nowadays everything can be ordered online and shipped internationally!

Akihabara. An Otaku's heaven. hahaha PLEASE WATCH in 720HD & OPEN FOR MORE INFO! TQ. :) Hi again everyone! Here's my journey to Akihabara and Shibuya! I really enjoyed it. For Akiba, I got to see many Gashapons being displayed and also popping into all the anime merchandise store. Not only that, a maid cafe as well! My next trip was to Shibuya. The shopping there is spectacular! Fun to see and explore around. I fangirl-ed a little to have the great experience to walk on the famous Shibuya 4 way cross road. Plus, feeling like I was in the anime world too. If any of you watch Durarara or K project you know what I mean. Hahaha. Good news ... I was able to visit Ikebukuro! This is basically a complete video tour all recorded in one take of pretty much all of the main points of interest in all of Akihabara, Tokyo. This is based on tons of research that I have done about it plus my own personal months of exploration within it.
