This low-quality footage chronicling our trip from Wilmington, Delaware to New York City for an audition captures a single day in the middle of the 'Dead Poets Society' shoot. I hope it conveys even a fraction of how much fun we were having during this very brief, very magical, and very funny time for all of us.
find out what ever happen to the 1989 movie, Dad.
A thank you to the wonderful Robin Williams.May he rest in Peace. The scene is taken from "Dead Poets Society" where the students tribute to their teacher Mr. Keating (Robin Williams) who taught them think different, to seize the day (carpe diem) and to stand up for what is right.
Dad plays with me on the backyard swing set.
I'll have to say that it's pretty cool when your parents drive you, hours away, to a skatepark. However, when Tony Hawk randomly shows up and shreds...I was quite a happy kid! My father shot the footage. Tony Hawk, Ray Underhill, and a few locals were sessioning. This must have been about 1989. There was a photographer and another videographer shooting them(same person possibly). A few of Tony's tricks later appeared in the "tour" section of the Powell video "Ban This". Check it at 45:50 here- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9SkJ_mAHsg I did some light editing on it. I left in many of the bails. I think it's cool to make it feel like a real session.

There are few events in film history in which 3 movies mark 14 years in the life of 2 characters, much less the life of 2 actors and a director. But that is the achievement of the "Before" trilogy; Before Sunrise, Before Sunset, and Before Midnight for Richard Linklater and his partner actor/writers, Julie Delpy and Ethan Hawke. Ethan spoke to David Poland about his history with the series and how it has changed his career and life. Ethan Hawke, Part 1: A Career - http://bit.ly/HegVt7 Shot in Los Angeles, August 2013

Seymour Bernstein is the living embodiment of the musician-educator, and Ethan Hawke's documentary about him reveals the actor-writer-director's own brilliance. In Seymour: An Introduction, he chronicles the modest New York City pianist, composer and teacher about whom Todd McCarthy wrote in The Hollywood Reporter, "If there were a pill that could provide one with the subject's wisdom, insight and intellectual clarity on a regular basis, I would take it and recommend it to everyone." My kitchen floor started cracking
And out jumped a man
Big, red and horny
I was shaking the devils hand
You've got a hell of a reputation
Thats the name of my game
Been digging all night
'Cause I heard your name
Got a mean main reason have no fear
But first we'll plays some poker
And have a warm beer
Let's play a little poker
And have a nize hot beer
I will smash your windows burn your mail
I tied ten knots on the devils tail
I can eat a horse even chew nail
I tied ten knots on the devils tail
D.A.D. wouldn't cross his trail
'Cause I tied ten knots on the devils tail
He's the toughest man and he can't fail
But I tied ten knots on the devils taaaaiiiiil
I sat down to the table
With the man that I once feared
He was drinking, humming, drinking
And scratching his beard
So we drank for about a fortnight
It seemed like some stupid test
Still I was sitting upright
Doing the things that I do best
But the poor devil looked mess
I will smash your windows...
Though he was red
He seemed kind of pale
Then I tied ten knots
On the devils tail
I dumped him in his hole
Heard the echoes of the scream
Hey boyscout from below
Now tell me who's mean!
I won't smash your windows...
I'm so rough I spent summer in jail
'Cause I tied ten knots on the devils tail
I'm so mean I could out-fart a gale
