Willie Colon (born April 9, 1983) is an American football offensive guard for the New York Jets of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the fourth round of the 2006 NFL Draft. He played college football at Hofstra University.
Colon attended Cardinal Hayes High School in The Bronx. As a senior, he received the Cardinal Hayes Outstanding Defensive Player Award as the defensive MVP. Colon chose to attend Hofstra, majoring in interdisciplinary studies. Colon is of Puerto Rican Descent.
Colon was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the fourth round (131st overall) of the 2006 NFL Draft. He started the first two games of his career in Weeks 16 and 17 of the 2006 season, replacing an injured Max Starks. This sparked a position battle with Max Starks for starting right tackle, which continued through an unspectacular 2007 season. Colon was a member of the Steelers' Super Bowl XLIII championship team. He re-signed with the Steelers after the 2008 season for a one-year deal worth $2.2 million.

Plot: The rise and fall of salsa singer, Héctor Lavoe (1946-1993), as told from the perspective of his wife Puchi, who looks back from 2002. In the early 1960s, Héctor arrives in New York from Ponce, Puerto Rico. Success comes quickly. "The more he grew as an artist," Puchi says, "the more he sank as a person." It's a tale of talent - creating salsa with Willie Colón, with the Fania All Stars, and as a soloist - and a story of disintegration - fueled by drugs, alcohol, partying, and depression. Puchi's voice - proud and querulous - dominates off-stage as Héctor's does on.

WILLIE COLON MIXXXX BACHATA
Nueva York by Willie ColónNueva york, paisaje de acero
No sé si te odio,
No sé si te quiero.
Cuando estoy contigo
Me siento inquieto por largarme,
Cuando estoy lejos,
Loco por mirarte.
Nueva York, Selva de concreto,
Mi corazón guarda el secreto,
En tus barrios latinos
Yo vi por primera vez
Las tradiciones de mis abuelos.
Mágica ciudad de las
De sueños dorados,
Capital de desiluciones,
No sé cómo ni por qué
Me lleva embrujado,
Donde quiera me recuerdo
De Nueva York, Nueva York,...
Nueva York, ciudad alameda,
Locura valiente,
Belleza turba.
Millones de seres juntos
Se sienten solo,
Cuando desventurados que no perdonan.
Nueva York, verano sofoca,
Otoño esperando,
Invierno inclemente,
Primavera me llena de alegría,
Naturaleza se viste de verde
Mágica ciudad de las
De sueños dorados,
Capital de desiluciones,
No sé cómo ni por qué
Me lleva embrujado,
Eres inolvidable, eres eterna.
Mágica ciudad de las
De sueños dorados,
Capital de desiluciones,
No sé cómo ni por qué
Me lleva embrujado,
Por las noches hasta sueño
