Angels of Darkness (Italian:Donne proibite) is a 1954 Italian drama film directed by Giuseppe Amato and starring Linda Darnell, Valentina Cortese and Lea Padovani.
The film's sets were designed by the art director Virgilio Marchi.
An angel is a purely spiritual being found in various religions and mythologies. In Abrahamic religions and Zoroastrianism, angels are often depicted as benevolent celestial beings who act as intermediaries between God or Heaven and Earth, or as guardian spirits or a guiding influence. Other roles of angels include protecting and guiding human beings, and carrying out God's tasks. The term "angel" has also been diversed to various notions of spirits or figures found in many other religious traditions. The theological study of angels is known as "angelology".
In art, angels are often depicted with bird-like wings on their back, a halo, robes and various forms of glowing light.
The word angel (pronounced /ˈeɪn.dʒəl/) in English is a blend of Old English engel (with a hard g) and Old French angele. Both derive from Late Latin angelus "messenger", which in turn was borrowed from Late Greek ἄνγελος ángelos. According to R. S. P. Beekes, ángelos itself may be "an Oriental loan, like ἄγγαρος ['Persian mounted courier']." The word's earliest form is Mycenaean a-ke-ro attested in Linear B syllabic script.
Darkness, the polar opposite to brightness, is understood to be an absence of visible light. It is also the appearance of black in a colored space.
Humans are unable to distinguish color when either light or darkness predominate. In conditions of insufficient light, perception is achromatic and ultimately, black.
The emotional response to darkness has generated metaphorical usages of the term in many cultures.
The perception of darkness differs from the mere absence of light due to the effects of after images on perception. In perceiving, the eye is active, and that part of the retina that is unstimulated produces a complementary afterimage.
In terms of physics, an object is said to be dark when it absorbs photons, causing it to appear dim compared to other objects. For example, a matte black paint does not reflect much visible light and appears dark, whereas white paint reflects much light and appears bright. For more information see color.
Light cannot be absorbed without limit. According to the principle of the conservation of Energy, energy cannot be created or destroyed; it can only be converted from one type to another. Consequently, most objects that absorb visible light reemit it as heat. So, although an object may appear dark, it is likely bright at a frequency that humans cannot perceive. For more information see thermodynamics.
A demon, daemon (from Koine Greek δαιμόνιον daimonion), or fiend is a supernatural, often malevolent being prevalent in religion, occultism, literature, fiction, mythology and folklore.
The original Greek word daimon does not carry the negative connotation initially understood by implementation of the Koine δαιμόνιον (daimonion), and later ascribed to any cognate words sharing the root.
In Ancient Near Eastern religions as well as in the Abrahamic traditions, including ancient and medieval Christian demonology, a demon is considered an unclean spirit, a fallen angel, or a spirit of unknown type which may cause demonic possession, calling for an exorcism. In Western occultism and Renaissance magic, which grew out of an amalgamation of Greco-Roman magic, Jewish Aggadah and Christian demonology, a demon is believed to be a spiritual entity that may be conjured and controlled.
The Ancient Greek word δαίμων daimōn denotes a spirit or divine power, much like the Latin genius or numen. Daimōn most likely came from the Greek verb daiesthai (to divide, distribute). The Greek conception of a daimōns notably appears in the works of Plato, where it describes the divine inspiration of Socrates. To distinguish the classical Greek concept from its later Christian interpretation, the former is anglicized as either daemon or daimon rather than demon.
Light is electromagnetic radiation within a certain portion of the electromagnetic spectrum. The word usually refers to visible light, which is visible to the human eye and is responsible for the sense of sight. Visible light is usually defined as having wavelengths in the range of 400–700 nanometres (nm), or 4.00 × 10−7 to 7.00 × 10−7 m, between the infrared (with longer wavelengths) and the ultraviolet (with shorter wavelengths). This wavelength means a frequency range of roughly 430–750 terahertz (THz).
The main source of light on Earth is the Sun. Sunlight provides the energy that green plants use to create sugars mostly in the form of starches, which release energy into the living things that digest them. This process of photosynthesis provides virtually all the energy used by living things. Historically, another important source of light for humans has been fire, from ancient campfires to modern kerosene lamps. With the development of electric lights and power systems, electric lighting has effectively replaced firelight. Some species of animals generate their own light, a process called bioluminescence. For example, fireflies use light to locate mates, and vampire squids use it to hide themselves from prey.

Listen: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wgyu-g17xuI Earth's first installment of Angels of Darkness, Demons of light is a hefty dose of the same medicine they've been feeding us since Hex in '05. When it comes to concocting musical sedatives, Earth's receptive is still pretty potent; however, I'm having trouble calling this LP as interesting as its predecessor. The most noticeable change this time around is some longer song lengths and a lot of bowed instrumentation. Of course, I'm a fan of the cello, but the production here doesn't exactly find a flattering place for it in the mix. Instead, it seems jammed in a spot that makes the guitar and bass stand out significantly less, which is really why I came to this showdown in the first place. It's still dark and moody music. I'm just...

Their early work grew out of the Seattle-area grunge scene and is recognized as pioneering the genre of drone doom — an experimental offshoot of doom metal, characterized by droning, minimalist, lengthy, and repetitive structures. Like many of the most important figures to emerge in the foggier, drearier strains of grunge, metal, and post-rock, Dylan Carlson is a Seattle native. In the late ’80s, Carlson founded the band Earth, which first achieved a surge of recognition with its 1992 debut album for Sub Pop, Earth 2. Carlson's work with Earth in the ’90s helped define and establish the drone style of rock, which slowed down the fury of metal and married it with the tonal interests of minimalism. As the mastermind and backbone of Earth, Carlson has come to be seen as the father of drone. With more than 15 albums to his name, he has spent three decades exploring the sonic potentials of his guitar. In recent years, Carlson has also incorporated influences from traditional folk music into his work while also collaborat...

No more tears, no more pain, no more crying in the rain
No more sorrow, no more blame, in the kingdom of light
No more fear, no more lies, no temptation, open eyes
Finally found my piece of mind on the road to paradise
The revelation of the word is rocking the ages
Bringing solution to the world, the fire is raging on
Another time, another place, and we'll be standing face to face
Life will be an open page, in the kingdom of the light
No more night, no more day, everything has passed away
Got to find the narrow way that leads to paradise
The revelation of the word is rocking the ages
Bringing solution to the world, the fire is raging
Woe to the nations and kings of the earth
When heaven comes down for the final re-birth
Taking our place with the Ancient of Days
Ruling the kingdom of light
