The Virgin Islands are the western island group of the Leeward Islands, which are the northern part of the Lesser Antilles, and form the border between the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. Politically, the eastern islands form the British Virgin Islands and the western ones form the United States Virgin Islands. The British Virgin Islands is an overseas territory of the United Kingdom comprising approximately 60 islands and cays including Tortola, Virgin Gorda, Jost Van Dyke, and Anegada.
The U.S. Virgin Islands is one of five inhabited insular areas of the United States, along with American Samoa, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, and Puerto Rico. The territory comprises a number of islands including St. Croix, St. John, St. Thomas and Water Island.
The Virgin Passage separates the American Virgin Islands from the so-called Spanish Virgin Islands of Vieques and Culebra, which are part of Puerto Rico. The United States dollar is the official currency on both the British and American Virgin Islands as well as the Spanish/Puerto Rican Virgin Islands.

The British Virgin Islands (BVI), officially the Virgin Islands, is a British overseas territory located in the Caribbean to the east of Puerto Rico. The islands make up part of the Virgin Islands archipelago; the remaining islands constitute the U.S. Virgin Islands and the Spanish Virgin Islands.
The official name of the Territory is still simply the "Virgin Islands", but the prefix "British" is often used to distinguish it from the neighbouring American territory which changed its name from the "Danish West Indies" to "Virgin Islands of the United States" in 1917. British Virgin Islands government publications continue to begin with the name "The Territory of the Virgin Islands", and the Territory's passports simply refer to the "Virgin Islands", and all laws begin with the words "Virgin Islands". Moreover, the Territory's Constitutional Commission has expressed the view that "every effort should be made", to encourage the use of the name "Virgin Islands".
BVI may refer to:
At roughly 8 square kilometers, or about 3 square miles, Jost Van Dyke is the smallest of the four main islands of the British Virgin Islands, the northern portion of the archipelago of the Virgin Islands, located in the Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea. Jost Van Dyke lies about 8 km to the northwest of Tortola and 8 km to the north of Saint John. Little Jost Van Dyke lies off its eastern end.
Like many of the neighboring islands, it is volcanic in origin and mountainous. The highest point on the island is Majohnny Hill at 321 meters (1054 ft).
Despite rumours that the island's name comes from that of a 17th-century Dutch privateer, Joost van Dyk, who used its harbours as a hideout, there is no factual evidence supporting this claim. Just who Jost Van Dyke's namesake is remains a mystery. John C. Lettsome (of Little Jost Van Dyke), founder of the Medical Society of London is Jost Van Dyke's most noteworthy resident.
Although the English captured the BVI in 1672, it seems that Jost Van Dyke was mostly ignored until the mid-18th century. A map drawn of the BVI in 1717 by Captain John Walton does not depict either Jost Van Dyke or Little Jost Van Dyke.
Virginity is the state of a person who has never engaged in sexual intercourse. There are cultural and religious traditions which place special value and significance on this state, predominantly towards unmarried females, associated with notions of personal purity, honor and worth.
Like chastity, the concept of virginity has traditionally involved sexual abstinence. The concept of virginity usually involves moral or religious issues and can have consequences in terms of social status and in interpersonal relationships. Although virginity has social implications and had significant legal implications in some societies in the past, it has no legal consequences in most societies today.
The term virgin originally only referred to sexually inexperienced women, but has evolved to encompass a range of definitions, as found in traditional, modern, and ethical concepts.Heterosexual individuals may or may not consider loss of virginity to occur only through penile-vaginal penetration, while people of other sexual orientations often include oral sex, anal sex or mutual masturbation in their definitions of losing one's virginity.

Hello everyone and welcome to episode 9! This week you find out what we really think of the BVI's- they're the most popular cruising ground in the world, but does that make them awesome, or just overhyped? Before we arrived in the BVI's we weren't sure what to expect. We had heard it was expensive, crowded and full of charterers. None of these things are good. We left ourselves a month here, but honestly there was a good chance we were going to leave after a couple of weeks given the mixed reviews we'd heard. So what's our verdict? If you've been watching our videos, you probably already know- but go ahead and watch the video to find out! Links: Our website has loads of information on our boat and our adventures up until this point. Read about our Atlantic crossing, check out what ge...

After the Atlantic Crossing we arrived to the BVI, Tortola. Got to work with a few jobs that needed to be done. Scraped the Hull, installed a new W.S.I after the assy halliard ripped it off, and a few other little jobs we wont bore you with like cleaning the bilge and vinegaring the sinks and toilets to get rid of calcium build up... Got back into the swing of things and finally got our normal sleeping routine back (yay). Then we Island hopped and explored the beautiful British Virgin Islands before heading to Sint Maarten. How good are coconuts. Ps. All spearing done outside BVI waters :) Hope you like the video!! Thanks a million to all those subscribers following our voyage, and for supporting us on Patreon! we really need the support to keep the adventure going as funds are indeed run...
Unfortunately, mishaps like this are not a very rare occurrence in the BVI's... this was just an extreme case and we happened to have the camera running from the onset. Still amazes me how many of these bareboat captains are completely unqualified to operate these vessels, yet the bareboat companies keep renting them out without proper screening... and this one damaged 6 boats in 45 minutes, 4 of them private vessels like ours. Guess as long as you have a credit card... Can find out more about our charter business at www.WindInMySails.com and if you like the video, feel free to SHARE or RE-POST it anywhere!
Was alles geschah, glänzt wieder wie Gold,
Fortsetzung folgt.
Was alles geschah, glänzt wieder wie Gold,
Fortsetzung folgt
