After The Police Lathicharge, students retaliate with stones which leads to huge clash between Police force and students. In this Clash many students and police personals got injured. ‘Sadke Punjab Ton’ is a whiff of fresh sounds, a celebration of the rich vibrant culture of Punjab and this stunning video revive fond memories of the golden years of the state. Singer, actor, songwriter and voice artist Anita Lerche has made a long voyage from Herlev, a town near Copenhagen, Denmark to the land of Punjab to become the ambassador and custodian of Punjabi heritage.
After the roaring success of her debut album ‘Heer from Denmark’, she is back to woo more fans and wow her audiences with ‘Sadke Punjab Ton.’ As the video reveals, it is the story of a girl whose soul was always Punjabi and her destiny had to bring her here. Anita sings and transforms gradually during the video into a Punjabi lass who is willing to give it all for the love of Punjab and the fragrance of this soil.
This song was written by Dr. Tejinder Harjit, who got so inspired by Anita’s passion for Punjab and Punjabi culture.

The Punjab (
i/ˈpʌndʒɑːb/ or /ˈpʌndʒæb/), also spelled Panjab, panj-āb, "five rivers"
(Punjabi: پنجاب (Shahmukhi), ਪੰਜਾਬ (Gurumukhi), Hindi: पंजाब (Devanagari)), is a geographical region in one of the northernmost parts of the Indian subcontinent or South Asia, comprising areas of eastern Pakistan and northern India.
It has been inhabited by Indus Valley Civilisation, Indo-Aryan peoples and has seen numerous invasions by the Achaemenid Empire, Greeks, Kushan Empire, Ghaznavids, Timurids, Mughals, Afghans, British and others. The people of the Punjab today are called Punjabis and their principal language is called Punjabi. The main religions of the Punjab region are Islam, Hinduism, and Sikhism. Other religious groups are Christianity, Jainism and Buddhism.
In 1947, with the dissolution of British India, the region was partitioned between India and Pakistan.
In Pakistan, it includes the Punjab province, Islamabad, parts of Azad Kashmir (namely Bhimber and Mirpur) and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (namely Peshawar known in the Punjab region as Pishore).

Anita Lerche
Anita Lerche (Punjabi: ਅਨੀਤਾ ਲਿਆਕੇ) is a singer-songwriter, composer and actress from Denmark. With the release of her album Heer from Denmark in November 2006, she became the first non-Asian woman from the west to create a solo album in Punjabi. Apart from singing in Punjabi, she has sung in a total of sixteen different languages.
Early Life and Education
Lerche was born on December 21, 1973 in Glostrup and grew up in Herlev, which are suburbs of Copenhagen. She grew up in a musical household, with her father Mogens Flemming Lerche singing and playing the Guitar, and her great grandfather Knud Peter Emil Nielsen was a professional singer and musician. Concerning her father’s influence on her love of music, Anita said, “He was my big inspiration. He has a great voice and was always playing the guitar and singing. So, I was just listening and I got inspired by him.”
At the age of seven, she began singing publicly when she joined the Herlev School choir. At the age of thirteen, she was accepted to the choir of Radio Denmark and was chosen to sing in an opera for children called Lykken og Forstanden. Two years later, she started training in the western classical music style and got her first professional job as a Church singer.

Singer, actor, songwriter and voice artist Anita Lerche has made a long voyage from Herlev, a town near Copenhagen, Denmark to the land of Punjab to become the ambassador and custodian of Punjabi heritage.
After the roaring success of her debut album ‘Heer from Denmark’, she is back to woo more fans and wow her audiences with ‘Sadke Punjab Ton.’ As the video reveals, it is the story of a girl whose soul was always Punjabi and her destiny had to bring her here. Anita sings and transforms gradually during the video into a Punjabi lass who is willing to give it all for the love of Punjab and the fragrance of this soil.

The technological leaps and the consequences thereof have overtaken the old educational paradigms and new concepts have emerged in the world of learning. The Punjab Group of Colleges (PGC) was among the first to realize this transition and its challenges. The PGC, therefore, submitted a petition to the Government of the Punjab, in August 1996, to allow to establish a university in the province. A No Objection Certificate was issued in October 1999. The charter to establish the University of Central Punjab (UCP) was awarded in April 2002. Thus this University clinched the distinction of becoming the first private sector university in the Punjab which acquired the status of a degree awarding institution. When the University started its operations in October 1999, it offered courses in Management Studies, Information Technology, Commerce and Law through its principal constituents i.e. Punjab College of Business Administration (PCBA), Punjab Institute of Computer Sciences (PICS), Punjab College of Commerce (PCC), Punjab Law College (PLC) and Punjab College of Information Technology (PCIT), all situated in Lahore.
These Colleges were restructured as Faculties of the University and became:

First time visitors to Amritsar could be forgiven for the impression that Amritsar is like any other small town in northern India. But Amritsar stands head and shoulders above any other city, its status elevated and sanctified by the presence of the venerable Golden Temple.
Located in the heart of Amritsar, the temple complex is surrounded by a maze of narrow lanes, or katras, that house one of the busiest markets in India. But the Golden Temple is a serene presence, radiating a calm that makes people bow their heads in reverence. The gurudwara, as Sikh temples are called, is the holiest of Sikh shrines. It is not just Sikhs who travel to the Golden Temple to pay homage, the sacred shrine is equally revered by Hindus and people of other faiths who, too, make the pilgrimage to offer prayers at Harmandir Sahib.
There more to Amritsar than that - Amongst other sights is Jallianwala Bagh, site of the gruesome massacre of unarmed Indians by British troops. A major tourist attraction these days is the Indo-Pakistan border crossing at Wagah, just a short distance from Amritsar, with its elaborate change-of-guards drill with a lot of strutting and intimidatory showing off by both sides.
If you are 'doing' north India, Amritsar is a city you should not miss. It's easy to travel there from Delhi by road and by rail. It is easy to navigate through the city; few guides bother you as tourism is not the most important commercial activity here. Ask them in Amritsar, and they will tell you that if for nothing else you must travel here for the roadside chhola-bhaturas.

Amritsar, literally a Pool of Nectar, derives its name from Amrit Sarovar, the holy tank that surrounds the fabulous Golden Temple. First time visitors to Amritsar could be forgiven for the impression that Amritsar is like any other small town in northern India. But Amritsar stands head and shoulders above any other city, its status elevated and sanctified by the presence of the venerable Golden Temple.
Located in the heart of Amritsar, the temple complex is surrounded by a maze of narrow lanes, or katras, that house one of the busiest markets in India. But the Golden Temple is a serene presence, radiating a calm that makes people bow their heads in reverence. The gurudwara, as Sikh temples are called, is the holiest of Sikh shrines. It is not just Sikhs who travel to the Golden Temple to pay homage, the sacred shrine is equally revered by Hindus and people of other faiths who, too, make the pilgrimage to offer prayers at Harmandir Sahib.
There more to Amritsar than that - Amongst other sights is Jallianwala Bagh, site of the gruesome massacre of unarmed Indians by British troops. A major tourist attraction these days is the Indo-Pakistan border crossing at Wagah, just a short distance from Amritsar, with its elaborate change-of-guards drill with a lot of strutting and intimidatory showing off by both sides.
If you are 'doing' north India, Amritsar is a city you should not miss. It's easy to travel there from Delhi by road and by rail. It is easy to navigate through the city; few guides bother you as tourism is not the most important commercial activity here. Ask them in Amritsar, and they will tell you that if for nothing else you must travel here for the roadside chhola-bhaturas.

‘Sadke Punjab Ton’ is a whiff of fresh sounds, a celebration of the rich vibrant culture of Punjab and this stunning video revive fond memories of the golden years of the state. Singer, actor, songwriter and voice artist Anita Lerche has made a long voyage from Herlev, a town near Copenhagen, Denmark to the land of Punjab to become the ambassador and custodian of Punjabi heritage.
After the roaring success of her debut album ‘Heer from Denmark’, she is back to woo more fans and wow her audiences with ‘Sadke Punjab Ton.’ As the video reveals, it is the story of a girl whose soul was always Punjabi and her destiny had to bring her here. Anita sings and transforms gradually during the video into a Punjabi lass who is willing to give it all for the love of Punjab and the fragrance of this soil.
This song was written by Dr. Tejinder Harjit, who got so inspired by Anita’s passion for Punjab and Punjabi culture.

Education in the twenty-first century demands a balance between continuity and change. The technological leaps and the consequences thereof have overtaken the old educational paradigms and new concepts have emerged in the world of learning. The Punjab Group of Colleges (PGC) was among the first to realize this transition and its challenges. The PGC, therefore, submitted a petition to the Government of the Punjab, in August 1996, to allow to establish a university in the province. A No Objection Certificate was issued in October 1999. The charter to establish the University of Central Punjab (UCP) was awarded in April 2002. Thus this University clinched the distinction of becoming the first private sector university in the Punjab which acquired the status of a degree awarding institution. When the University started its operations in October 1999, it offered courses in Management Studies, Information Technology, Commerce and Law through its principal constituents i.e. Punjab College of Business Administration (PCBA), Punjab Institute of Computer Sciences (PICS), Punjab College of Commerce (PCC), Punjab Law College (PLC) and Punjab College of Information Technology (PCIT), all situated in Lahore.
These Colleges were restructured as Faculties of the University and became:

Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences
Faculty of Pharmacy

UCP offers everything students need to develop and succeed in their academic and professional lives.

Multiple labs are provided with the latest and highly sophisticated equipment. Classrooms are air-conditioned, and are fitted with multimedia projectors to facilitate teaching and enhance learning and understanding.
