A Social Life is a short film about a career driven woman named Meredith who's living the life she's always dreamed of... online. Meredith strives to live a balanced life: staying fit, working hard and connecting with her friends; she is creating her "image" within her broader social media friend base. But she awakes one day and realizes that her reflection is merely the collection of photos that she has shared with others. Is this her life? Or just a carefully curated brand?
Kerith Lemon is a writer, director and creator with rich experience in multi-platform storytelling and creative narratives. Driven by her passion for stories that emotionally connect, Lemon is drawn to narratives that elevate women, mirror societal complications, and create dialogues amongst a broad audience. Her directorial debut, A Social Life, premiered at the Canberra International Short Film Festival, where it was awarded the prize for Best International Actor and most recently has won Best Ladies First Short at the Lady Filmmakers Festival in Pacific Grove, CA. It will continue to screen at film festivals throughout 2016.

Film
A film, also called a movie, motion picture or photoplay, is a series of still images which, when shown on a screen, creates the illusion of moving images due to the phi phenomenon. This optical illusion causes the audience to perceive continuous motion between separate objects viewed rapidly in succession. A film is created by photographing actual scenes with a motion picture camera; by photographing drawings or miniature models using traditional animation techniques; by means of CGI and computer animation; or by a combination of some or all of these techniques and other visual effects. The word "cinema", short for cinematography, is often used to refer to the industry of films and filmmaking or to the art of filmmaking itself. The contemporary definition of cinema is the art of simulating experiences to communicate ideas, stories, perceptions, feelings, beauty or atmosphere by the means of recorded or programmed moving images along with other sensory stimulations.
The process of filmmaking is both an art and an industry.

The film provides a striking comparison of U.S. and international media coverage of the crisis in the ME zeroing in on how structural distortions in U.S. coverage have reinforced false perceptions of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict for example. This pivotal documentary exposes how the foreign policy interests of American political elites--oil, and a need to have a secure military base in the region, among others--work in combination with lsraeIi public relations strategies to exercise a powerful influence over how news from the region is reported. The Humber College four-year Film and Media Production degree program combines theory and practice, preparing students for a rewarding career in media, film and television. An emphasis is placed on writing and storytelling and the creation of compelling visual narratives. Students study courses such as Screenwriting for Film/Media, Picture Editing, Production Management, Directing, Cinematography and Post-Production. At Humber, students work with top-quality equipment from the first week of classes. A work placement in the summer between years three and four adds to the on-set experience that employers want. In their final year, students will work on a thesis project that covers all aspects of film and media production, from pitching a story idea to the final stages of production. Courses are taught by industry experts and cover all aspects of the industry, including Media Entrepreneurship, which teaches the financial side of media production, and Entertainment Law, which teaches legal aspects. Students learn a complete set of skills and experience that allows them to thrive in this competitive and growing field. The Humber College four-year Film and Media Production degree program combines theory and practice, preparing students for a rewarding career in media, film and television.
An emphasis is placed on writing and storytelling and the creation of compelling visual narratives. Students study courses such as Screenwriting for Film/Media, Picture Editing, Production Management, Directing, Cinematography and Post-Production.
At Humber, students work with top-quality equipment from the first week of classes. A work placement in the summer between years three and four adds to the on-set experience that employers want. In their final year, students will work on a thesis project that covers all aspects of film and media production, from pitching a story idea to the final stages of production.
Courses are taught by industry experts and cover all aspects of the industry, including Media Entrepreneurship, which teaches the financial side of media production, and Entertainment Law, which teaches legal aspects. Students learn a complete set of skills and experience that allows them to thrive in this competitive and growing field.

'What The Folks' is a journey of how modern families are breaking stereotypes, overcoming generation gaps, and growing to love one another, despite having starkly different world views. The show encapsulates the familial struggles of Nikhil, a young man who is forced to live with his in-laws for a few weeks.
Episode 1:
Murphy’s law works on Nikhil, and everything he does from the moment he enters his in-laws' house, goes wrong. A huge blunder greatly upsets Prakash, his father-in-law. He is really sorry about it, but both of them are unable to have an honest conversation about it. Will they resolve their issues? Or will things only go downhill from here? Whatever the case, one thing is for sure - the giggles and chuckles won't stop through the episode!

A Japanese teenager is suing the government in Osaka after her public school repeatedly forced her to dye her naturally brown hair black or else be banned from attending school, according to Reuters. The lawsuit was filed in Osaka District Court by the 18-year-old after Kaifukan School in Habikino city made her dye her hair which caused her "anguish.". “The dyeing damaged the health of the scalp and hair,” the plaintiff claims ... ....
