The Voice may refer to:
A bayou (/ˈbaɪ.oʊ/ or /ˈbaɪjuː/) is a Franco-English term used in the United States for a body of water typically found in a flat, low-lying area, and can refer either to an extremely slow-moving stream or river (often with a poorly defined shoreline), or to a marshy lake or wetland. The name "bayou" can also refer to a creek whose current reverses daily due to tides and which contains brackish water highly conducive to fish life and plankton. Bayous are commonly found in the Gulf Coast region of the southern United States, notably the Mississippi River Delta, with the states of Louisiana and Texas being famous for them. A bayou is frequently an anabranch or minor braid of a braided channel that is moving much more slowly than the mainstem, often becoming boggy and stagnant. Though fauna varies by region, many bayous are home to crawfish, certain species of shrimp, other shellfish, catfish, frogs, toads, American alligators, American crocodiles, herons, turtles, spoonbills, snakes, leeches and myriad other species.
"Jambalaya (On the Bayou)" is a song written and recorded by American country music singer Hank Williams that was first released in July 1952. Named for a Creole and Cajun dish, jambalaya, it spawned numerous cover versions and has since achieved popularity in several different music genres.
With a melody based on the Cajun song "Grand Texas", some sources, including Allmusic, claim that the song was co-written by Williams and Moon Mullican, with Williams credited as sole author and Mullican receiving ongoing royalties. Williams' biographer Colin Escott speculates that it is likely Mullican wrote at least some of the song and Hank's music publisher Fred Rose paid him surreptitiously so that he wouldn't have to split the publishing with Moon's label King Records. Williams' song resembles "Grand Texas" in melody only. "Grand Texas" is a song about a lost love, a woman who left the singer to go with another man to "Big Texas"; "Jambalaya", while maintaining a Cajun theme, is about life, parties and stereotypical food of Cajun cuisine. The narrator leaves to pole a pirogue down the shallow water of the bayou, to attend a party with his girlfriend Yvonne and her family. At the feast they have Cajun cuisine, notably Jambalaya, crawfish pie and filé gumbo, and drink liquor from fruit jars. Yvonne is his "ma chaz ami-o", which is Cajun French for "my good girlfriend" (ma chère amie). Williams uses "ma chaz ami" as one word, thus the "my" in front of it. The "o" at the end of "ami" is a poetic/lyrical device making the line match the phrasing of the previous line and rhyme with it.
The Bayou was a music venue and nightclub located in Georgetown, Washington, D.C..
In the late '90s, the Bayou was owned by Dave Williams (Cellar Door Productions), who was also responsible for putting on the concerts at DAR Constitution Hall and the Capital Centre. Williams also was the GM at the Nissan Pavilion.
The Bayou occupied an old building at 3135 K Street, NW, in Georgetown, under the Whitehurst Freeway for forty-six years. The club opened in September 1953 on the site of a former Dixieland nightclub called The Pirates Den. The club featured Dixieland jazz until the early '60s when the format changed to rock and roll.
The club included a balcony level, with tables and chairs, and two standing room only bars. The main floor bars were fed bottled liquor from a "tap" room that was situated above the entrance. Bottles placed upside down into funnels feeding long tubing led to the downstairs bars.
Though the Bayou generally attracted an older crowd, the club also featured a diverse following including college students from Georgetown University, men and women from the many military installations in the DC area and The Pentagon.
"Born on the Bayou" (1968) is the first track on Creedence Clearwater Revival's second album, Bayou Country. It was released as the B-side of the single "Proud Mary" that reached #2 on the Billboard Charts.
Songwriter John Fogerty set the song in the South, despite neither having lived nor widely traveled there. He commented:
John Fogerty's unreleased 1976 solo album, Hoodoo, was possibly named after the line in the song.
"Born on the Bayou" is an example of 'swamp rock', a genre associated with John Fogerty, Little Feat/Lowell George, The Band, Canned Heat, J.J. Cale, The Doobie Brothers and Tony Joe White. The guitar setting for the intro is over-driven with amp tremolo on a slow setting; Fogerty uses a Gibson ES-175 (which was stolen from his car soon after recording this track). The E7 chord gives the song a strong Southern blues feel. To many, the vocal performance on this track represents a pinnacle in John Fogerty's singing, the performance as a whole is regarded as one of Creedence Clearwater Revival's finest hours. "Born on the Bayou" opened most of CCR's concerts, and was known as the band's signature song.

Diera Pertengahan tahun 1990an,Band band Rock yang biasa menyanyikan lagu lagu HARD ROCK seperti BON JOVI, Mr.BIG,HELLOWEEN Bahkan METALLICCA,Mencoba dan Ber EXPRESI menyanyikan Lagu yang bertema sedikit ROMANTIS,ya yang pasti mereka sudah jelas membuka hati untuk para FANS WANITA karena Fans mereka hampir 80% Pria.sebut saja BON JOVI dengan ALWAYS, Mr.BIG dengan TO BE WITH YOU,HELLOWEEN dengan WINDMILD ataupun METALLICCA dengan NOTHING ELSE MATTER.Tapi hasilnya cukup luar biasa karena lagu tersebut mendapat respon yang bagus dihati penggemarnya. Lyrics - Now, when I was just a little boy, Standin' to my Daddy's knee, My poppa said, ";Son, don't let the man get you Do what he done to me."; 'Cause he'll get you, 'Cause he'll get you now, now. And I can remember the fourth of July, Runnin' through the backwood, bare. And I can still hear my old hound dog barkin', Chasin' down a hoodoo there. Chasin' down a hoodoo there. CHORUS: Born On The Bayou; Born On The Bayou; Born On The Bayou. Wish I was back on the Bayou. Rollin' with some Cajun Queen. Wishin' I were a fast freight train, Just a chooglin' on down to New Orleans. CHORUS Do it, do it, do it, do it. Oh, Lord. Oh get back boy. I can remember the fourth of July, Runnin' through the backwood bare. And I can still hear my old hound dog barkin', ...

Original music and video created by Jonathan Wing for an art show entitled "Mired on the Bayou," opening on October 15th at the 99% Gallery in NYC. www.jonathanwing.com From Inhabitat.com: "We've all seen images of the Gulf Oil Spill -- filmy waters, desolate shorelines and blackened, lifeless animals — but what about the lives and livelihoods that have been destroyed? On October 15th at the 99% Gallery, Inhabitat will present Mired in the Bayou, a brand new mixed-medium exhibit premiering in New York City. Mired in the Bayou presents a thought-provoking portraiture project, audio narratives, and objects from the coast that reveal how the BP Spill has impacted and continues to impact individuals in the community of Bayou La Batre, Alabama's once lucrative seafood capital. In the year 2067, the fisheries are much different. Carp are the dominant species in the waterways. Lucky for us, they are pretty darn fun to catch on a fly. Please enjoy the scenes I put together from a recent trip to Houston, Texas. Not many fish caught on camera, but I had a great time getting my first carp on a fly. If you make it down, check out the urban fisheries in the area. Also be sure to stop by iFly The Angler's Edge Fly Shop. The staff there are great. Filmed with my GoPro HD and iPhone. See our wings
As they burnish the sky
And our hearts
Our tiny hearts are beating
Hear our song
As it fanfares the night
And our hearts
Our tiny hearts are beating
They say
"There'll be plenty more forever
Enough for all to go around"
But in the Bayou
When things get low, low , low
We're gonna go go down
We fly from the billabong tree
And now we sit in the marketplace
Pull out feathers from our skin
For another pretty hat
On a pretty face
But in the Bayou
When things get low, low , low
We're gonna go go down
But in the Bayou
When things get low, low , low
