How to get from Heathrow airport to London using public transport London Heathrow Airport (LHR) is one of the world's busiest international airports. It is located 20 miles (32km) to the west of London. One of the first challenges I encounter when travelling is how to get from the airport to the city. In this video I'll show you how to travel from the airport to London? This short documentary explains that there are two main ways to get to London from Heathrow, the tube (Metro or Underground) and the Heathrow Express. Terminal 1 2 3 4 5 are all connected by trains. For this video I opted to use the Heathrow Express (https://www.heathrowexpress.com) which takes 15 minutes to Paddington Station in 15 minutes for 35 pounds. Upon arrival at one of the Heathrow terminals and exiting the luggage claim area, look out for the purple signs of the Heathrow Express. Tickets can be bought in a number of ways, from the ticket machine, the information desk or from the conductor on the train.
