Yellow Claw

The Yellow Claw is a fictional comic book supervillain appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer Al Feldstein and artist Joe Maneely, the character first appeared in Yellow Claw #1 (cover-dated Oct. 1956), published by Atlas Comics, the 1950s predecessor of Marvel.

Publication history

While the short-lived espionage series named for him ran only four issues (Oct. 1956 – April 1957), it featured work by such notables as writer Al Feldstein and artist Joe Maneely, who created the character, Jack Kirby, and John Severin, and introduced characters later integrated into Marvel Comics continuity. Kirby took over as writer-artist with issue #2 – inking his own pencil art there and in the following issue, representing two of the very rare occasions on which he did so. Unusually for a Kirby series, other artists drew the covers: Severin on #2 & 4, Bill Everett on #3. The series' influence was felt during the 1960s Silver Age of Comic Books, as writer-artist Jim Steranko brought the Yellow Claw into Marvel Comics continuity, beginning with the "Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D." feature in Strange Tales #160 (Sept. 1967), which introduced a robot version of the character; the actual Yellow Claw resurfaced later. Woo was reintroduced that same issue, eventually joining the espionage agency S.H.I.E.L.D. in Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. #2 (July 1968).

Lanai Airport

Lanai Airport(IATA: LNY, ICAO: PHNY, FAA LID: LNY), also written as Lānaʻi Airport, is a state owned, public use airport located three nautical miles (6 km) southwest of the central business district of Lanai City (Lānaʻi City), in Maui County, Hawaii. The airport began regular operations in 1930. It is the only airport serving the island of Lanai (Lānaʻi).

As per Federal Aviation Administration records, the airport had 52,075 passenger boardings (enplanements) in calendar year 2008, 42,594 enplanements in 2009, and 43,922 in 2010. It is included in the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015, which categorized it as a primary commercial service airport (more than 10,000 enplanements per year).

Facilities and aircraft

The airport covers an area of 505 acres (204 ha) at an elevation of 1,308 feet (399 m) above mean sea level. It has one runway designated 3/21 with an asphalt surface measuring 5,001 by 150 feet (1,524 x 46 m).

For the 12-month period ending March 16, 2007, the airport had 6,760 aircraft operations, an average of 18 per day: 65% scheduled commercial, 22% air taxi, 12% general aviation, and 2% military.

The Kemist

Errol Thompson, better known as The Kemist, is a Jamaican-American Deejay, Producer, recording artist and songwriter. His music is a mix of wide range of genres which incorporates elements from Reggae, Dancehall, Trap, Hip Hop, Dubstep, Hardstyle and Moombahton music.

Career

Producer / Songwriter

The Kemist began his music career as a member of the production duo Black Lion. In February 2013 Black Lion produced Nyanda's 1st promotional single "Trouble", which is a Dancehall remix of Taylor Swift's multi-platinum single "I Knew You Were Trouble" which fuses Reggae, Dancehall and Pop music. Co-written by The Kemist, "Trouble" entered UK Music Week's Top 30 Urban Club Charts in Week 7 (2013) and remained in the charts for 7 Weeks, peaking at #15.

Nyanda's 1st official single, "Slippery When Wet", was produced by Black Lion and co-written by The Kemist. "Slippery When Wet" entered UK Music Week's Top 30 Urban Club Charts in Week 27 (2013) and remained in the Top 30 for 5 weeks, peaking at #13. "Slippery When Wet" Won the Award for Best Reggae Song at the 2014 Lipstick Radio's Indie Music Awards.
