Memphis May Fire is an American Christian metalcore band formed in Dallas, Texas and currently signed to Rise Records. Formed in 2006, they have released four studio albums and two EP's to date. Their fourth album, Unconditional, debuted at No. 4 on the US Billboard 200 and atop the Alternative Albums chart.

History

Inception (2006–07)

The band, founded by guitarist Kellen McGregor, formed in 2006, but it was not until February 2007 that the group decided on the name Memphis May Fire having previously gone by Oh Captain, My Captain. In early 2007, the band recorded and self-released an EP, and began creating a local following. Shortly thereafter, Memphis May Fire caught the attention of Josh Grabelle, the president of Trustkill Records. Grabelle commented on his feelings toward the band in a press release stating, "There is a lot of really exciting, young, dangerous music coming out right now, and Memphis May Fire are the cream of the crop. Not since Bullet for My Valentine's Hand of Blood have we heard a more compelling set of songs for an EP, where absolutely every song is bone-chillingly perfect, and timeless. These guys are on their way to something huge." In September 2007 the band had officially signed to Trustkill, and their self-titled EP was reissued through the label in December 2007. In 2007, through 2008, the band embarked on Twelve Gauge Valentine's final-tour along with The Handshake Murders.

Music video

A music video or song video is a short film integrating a song and imagery, produced for promotional or artistic purposes. Modern music videos are primarily made and used as a marketing device intended to promote the sale of music recordings. There are also cases where songs are used in tie in marketing campaigns that allow them to become more than just a song. Since the creation and increased popularity of YouTube, mainstream artists now promote new music videos by releasing trailers of short promos on the site for their upcoming song and music video. Consequentially, YouTube has been converted into a social media platform for celebrities and artists to market themselves to their fans and audiences.

Never Have I Ever

"Never Have I Ever", also known as "I've Never…" or "Ten Fingers", is a drinking game.

Rules

The verbal game is started with the players getting into a circle. Then, the first player says a simple statement starting with "Never have I ever". Anyone who has done what the first player has not must drink. Play then continues around the circle, and the next person makes a statement. An additional rule – uncommon, but beneficial to the game –is that if there is no one taking a drink, then the one who said the particular "I have never…" must take a drink. This rule often forces the players to strategize more and makes for less disposable/pointless suggestions.

A further variation holds that whenever only one person is drinking, that person must give a detailed account of why they are drinking. Another variation of this game involves putting up five or ten fingers, putting one down whenever something mentioned has been done. Those who end up putting down all of their fingers must take several successive drinks.

Say I

"Say I" is a song by American singer Christina Milian. Built around a sample of Jackie Moore's "Clean Up Your Own Yard," it was written by Bunny Sigler, J. Jenkins, Phil Hurtt, Andre Lyon, Marcello Valenzano and Jazmine Sullivan, and produced by Cool & Dre for Milian's third studio album So Amazin' (2006), featuring guest vocals by rapper Young Jeezy.

Released as the album's lead single, the track was serviced to U.S. radios in March 2006. It peaked at #21 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming her third-most successful U.S. single.

The official remix features rapper Juelz Santana, it's a bonus track in the Japanese edition of the album.
