Tempat wisata Puncak Bogor, sebuah kawasan wisata yang selalu menjadi magnet warga ibukota untuk disinggahi.
Puncak termasuk ke dalam wilayah Kabupaten Bogor dan Kabupaten Cianjur, daerah ini sudah sangat terkenal baik bagi wisatawan domestik maupun wisatawan mancanegara. Sebagai daerah perkebunan teh yang dibangun oleh pemerintah kolonial Belanda yang kini merupakan Perkebunan Teh milik PT Perkebunan Nusantara VIII Gunung Mas.
Di daerah Puncak juga terdapat berbagai tempat wisata menarik diantaranya Taman Safari, Kebun Bunga, dan terdapat sebuah Masjid yang indah dengan arsitektur yang khas dan sederhana yaitu Masjid Atta'awun. Di daerah ini juga terdapat banyak sekali villa-villa dan hotel yang dimiliki oleh warga sekitar untuk tempat beristirahatnya pengunjung.
Wisata Puncak Bogor, sepertinya tidak cukup hanya 1 hari saja untuk mengunjungi semua tempat wisata yang menarik di daerah puncak Bogor dan sekitarnya.

Puncak
Puncak or Puncak Pass (Indonesian for "top" or "peak") is a mountain pass in West Java, Indonesia. The pass connects the city of Bogor and Bandung, and is spread within the regencies of Bogor, Cianjur, and Sukabumi. The area is a popular area for tourism.
Puncak Pass is located on the ridge to the north of Mt.Gede-Pangrango. The highest point of the pass is about 1500 m altitude. There is a volcanic lake Telaga Warna near the main route. Another tourist attraction, just south of the pass, is the Cibodas Botanical Garden. Taman Safari, a wildlife park, is also located in Puncak.
History
Puncak (old Dutch spelling Poentjak) is the name of a pass on the Indonesian island of Java which one passes when one of Bogor to Bandung travel.
The highland, being cooler than Batavia, has already been popular resort area for the inhabitants of Batavia who is looking for cooler air. Many Swiss-type chalets were built around Puncak during the pre-World War II colonial period.
Today Puncak Pass is surrounded by hotels and resorts.

Sebagai daerah perkebunan teh yang dibangun oleh pemerintah kolonial Belanda yang kini merupakan Perkebunan Teh milik PT Perkebunan Nusantara VIII Gunung Mas.
Di daerah Puncak juga terdapat berbagai tempat wisata menarik diantaranya Taman Safari, Kebun Bunga, dan terdapat sebuah Masjid yang indah dengan arsitektur yang khas dan sederhana yaitu Masjid Atta'awun. Di daerah ini juga terdapat banyak sekali villa-villa dan hotel yang dimiliki oleh warga sekitar untuk tempat beristirahatnya pengunjung.
Wisata Puncak Bogor, sepertinya tidak cukup hanya 1 hari saja untuk mengunjungi semua tempat wisata yang menarik di daerah puncak Bogor dan sekitarnya.

During my trip to Jakarta, I mostly remained in the city. But Ken and Gratiana from http://cowokrakus.com/ invited my wife Ying and I to go with them and their family on an Indonesian food trip to Bogor and the surrounding region (about an hour from Jakarta).
Our first stop when we drove out of Jakarta and to Bogor was a famous place to eat Bogor style laksa at a restaurant called Laksa Bogor Pak Inin. It was exactly my kind of a restaurant, open air and local, with a wonderful friendly environment. The laksa was unlike any other laksa I’ve ever had, and it was fantastic. Laksa Bogor - 10,000 IDR ($0.72)
Next, we stopped at a place called Toge Goreng Pak Abung, which is another legendary Indonesian food stop in Bogor, Indonesia, and they are famous for serving a bean sprout snack. It was definitely a very interesting dish, including a mixture of bean sprouts and fermented soy beans. Toge Goreng - 7,000 IDR ($0.51)
Next we drove into the beautiful Indonesian countryside and to the house. After having some Indonesian snacks and refreshing coconut, we then took a hike to go look for honey. The beekeeper was sick on the day we went, so we we’re able to get any honey, but it was still a beautiful hike.
The highlight of this Indonesian food trip for me was the Sundanese style Nasi Liwet Botram family feast that we had. All the food was laid out on banana leaves, and we all sat and ate some of the most beautiful and flavorful Indonesian food. It was an incredible culinary experience.
We drove back to Bogor and stopped at Warung Nasi Ampera to eat a quick dinner, and because I wanted to try some ikan pepes. The food was alright, but nothing compared to the lunch feast we had eaten! Total price - 103,000 IDR ($7.46) for 3 plates of food
Finally, back in Jakarta, we stopped near Manga Besar to have some desserts and to finish of this incredible day of Indonesian food. Sekoteng - 12,000 IDR ($0.87), Wedang Ronde - 12,000 IDR ($0.87)
It was an incredible Indonesian food trip to the outskirts of Bogor, and a nice opportunity to get out of Jakarta for the day.
A big thank you to Ken, Gratiana, and her family for inviting us to their house country house and for the amazing food.

This area is a popular holiday area for the residents of Jakarta, the capital city, and its satellite cities. It has fresh air, mountain scenery and a cooler climate. The area is about two hours drive from Jakarta, if there is no traffic jam, but severe traffic jams occur from Friday afternoon until Sunday afternoon throughout the year.
Bogor Regency is planning to build an alternative route from Sentul International Circuit-Babakan Madang-Hambalang-Sukmamakmur-Cipanas Palace, Pacet. The total length is 47 kilometers with a 30 meters wide carriageway. Most of the land will be granted by businessmen such as Probosutedjo and Tommy Suharto. The construction will commence in 2011 and is scheduled to be partly finished in 2013.

Taman Safari Bogor is located near the highway between Jakarta and Bandung, West Java. It is roughly 80 kilometres (50 mi) from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Jakarta and 78 kilometres (48 mi) from Bandung.
Taman Safari covers an area of 170 hectares (420 acres) and houses a collection of 2,500 animals, including Bengal tigers, Malayan sun bears, giraffes, orangutans, hippos, zebras, cheetahs, elephants, and Komodo dragons. Some, such as the Bali myna, are involved in conservation projects. The majority of the species represented are Indonesian.
Visitors are encouraged to drive through the park and it is possible to come within touching distance of most of the animals.
