8. Museum of Islamic Art-- Qatar
The Museum of Islamic Art is the focal point of Doha, the capital of Qatar. The building was created by Louvre architect I.M. Pei, who was coaxed out of retirement in order to design the building which takes its inspiration from ancient Islamic architecture. The museum is home to over 1,400 years of Islamic history including artifacts from Egypt, Iraq, Iran, Turkey, and India.

The Museum of Tomorrow in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil is an experiment in every way. The concept behind the museum was not to be a museum of items or artifacts, but a museum of ideas and learning. The museum guides its visitors with technology through the beginning of the universe to modern science to conjecture about the future of our planet. The building’s futuristic design is a study in sustainability, using 40% less energy than a conventional building and cooling itself from the water of the Guanabara Bay it overlooks. This museum looks like it could be straight out of a science fiction movie, but could be leading the way in a generation of science-minded people.
6. Erawan Museum-- Thailand
The Erawan Museum in Samut Prakan, Thailand pays homage to its Thai heritage with examples of traditional art and historical artifacts. The museum is best known for the 250-ton, 95-foot tall, bronze elephant statue and pedestal that makes up the museum itself. Erawan is modeled after the Hindu representation of earth and heaven. The inside of this museum is just as impressive as the outside: it is a lesson in color and detail, leaving no corner untouched by beauty.
5. Cité du Vin-- France
Located in Bordeaux, France on the Garonne River, Cité du Vin is precisely what you might expect: a museum of all things wine-related. Through wine and vineyards, Cité du Vin explores cultures from across the world. The building itself is even wine-themed, with liquid-smooth curves meant to mimic the pouring of wine into a glass.
4. National Museum of Art-- Japan
The National Museum of Art in Osaka, Japan strives to be, itself, a work of modern art. The building was designed by Cesar Pelli, who wanted the top portion of the museum to resemble reeds in the wind (but don’t be fooled, most of the museum is underground. Inside this elaborate structure is a collection 6,100 works from Japanese artists, such as Arinori Ichihara, as well as some European masters, including Monet.

This museum in Giverny, France was actually the home of the famous Impressionist painter Claude Monet from 1833 to 1926. If you look at photos of the home, you’ll most likely recognize some of the scenes, including his famous garden of water lilies. Today, it is open to the public for tours of how the artist lived and worked. What you might not know about Monet is that he took some of his inspiration from Japanese ukiyo-e prints from the 18th and 19th century, which are still in his home today.

The Montreal Biosphere was designed by Buckminster Fuller, employed by the United States, as part of the 1967 World Fair. Fuller used 1,900 acrylic panels to create his geodesic dome. The dome was originally an exhibit for American culture, but was gifted to Montreal after the fair in 1967. Today, it is the only environmental museum in North America. It is an entirely green building and is dedicated to education and awareness of major environmental issues.

6 - Speckled Padloper Tortoise
Also known as the speckled cape tortoise is the world's tiniest turtle, you can find them inside South Africa. These little critters usually measure between six to ten centimeters in length and weigh around 95 to 165 grams. These little guys are most active in early mornings and live in rocky terrain usually feeding on small succulents which grow in between the rocks. Their babies are usually born under seven grams and are only 30 millimeters long, the hatchlings emerge from their shells between 100 and 120 days.
5 - Spaghetti Snake
This charming reptilian can most commonly be located inside the Caribbean Islands native to Barbados and are said to be about as thick as a spaghetti noodle, hence their super cute namesake. This tiny member of the snake species called the blind threadsnake, they usually only grow to be about four inches in length and coil easily onto the width of an American quarter. The biologist who discovered this adorable reptile was S. Blair Hedges of the Pennsylvania State University who unearthed the tiny find from the soil of Barbados where they burrow in the forest dirt for their favourite meal, insect larvae. Though these snakes are blind, teeny tiny and lay just one egg at a time, they have managed to survive in the harsh wilderness of Barbados forests, proving once and for all that big things really do come in small packages.
4 - The Philippine Tarsier
These little guys are some of the world's smallest primates, they are known for being jittery and shy. These marvels of the modern world have grey fur and have a nearly naked tail, head and body length only stretch to about 115 to 150 millimeters and weigh an approximate 110 to 145 grams. These Philippine-born critters are best characterised by their gigantic eyes, slender legs and fingers and jumping prowess, they can hop up to twenty whole feet, which is pretty darn impressive for such little guys. These miniature Tarsiers also have a very distinct neck, they have specially evolved vertebrates which allow them to turn their heads to nearly 180 degrees, making for the cutest exorcist movie ever!
3 - Denise's Pygmy Seahorse
Look carefully, can you spot the little adorable horse of the sea? This adorable little miniature seahorse can be found in the Pacific ocean, most commonly on the Western side, they are sometimes referred to as the yellow pygmy seahorse with a standard tiny size of around two and a half centimeters. These teeny-weeny creatures have short snouts, slender smooth bodies and a prehensile tail. These little darlings are most commonly found at depths between 13 and 100 meters below sea level usually hidden inside fields of sea fans. The male is the one who gets pregnant and broods the eggs inside its ventral brood pouch and utilises adaptive camouflage, changing it's color from yellow, to orange and sometimes to pink in order to remain not eaten by predators.
2 - Dwarf Three-Toed Jerboa
This amazing tiny wonder is hailed as the smallest rodent in the world and also, the cutest. This teeny weeny rodent grows to be an average of about 1 and a half inches in head and body length with the tail stretching an approximate 3 inches, these adorable critters usually weigh around 3.75 grams. These critters can be found in Pakistan and Afghanistan frequenting sand dunes, gravel flats and sandy plains in hot deserts. These cute little guys are best known for their long hops and magnificent balance thanks to their long tails. These cute fellas tend to live inside burrows under small bushes and feed on wind blown seeds and scattered leaves.

Get ready for an absolute cuteness overload ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce you to the world's smallest species of lemur, the pygmy mouse lemur. This adorable little guy is only approximately five inches long and weighs a microscopic two ounces. These tiny little adorable creatures were discovered in the year of 1993 along the forested areas of Madagascar, These nocturnal primates prefer deciduous forests and are usually brown and white in color, they have long tails which they use to hang from trees and look even more adorable than usual. Oh man, just look at this one, he's sticking out his tongue, ah! So cute!

The World Beyond
The World Beyond is the second of two pilots for an occult detective television series. The first pilot, The World of Darkness, also starring Granville Van Dusen as Paul Taylor, premiered on Sunday, April 17, 1977. The World Beyond followed as a sequel on CBS Friday, January 27, 1978.
Premise
Sports writer Paul Taylor (Granville Van Dusen) died while undergoing a surgical procedure but was retrieved from the brink of death. His brush with "the world beyond" allowed the dead to communicate with him and ask him to help a living person.
The World of Darkness
Dead for two minutes and 37 seconds following a motorcycle accident, Paul Taylor hears ghostly voices that draw him to the New England town of Woodvale. Taylor becomes involved in supernatural activity surrounding the Sandford family, whose recently buried patriarch was an apparent suicide.

Aww, small animals are so cute! Check out this adorable list of the worlds tiniest little animals! Subscribe to Talltanic http://goo.gl/wgfvrr 6 - Speckled Padloper Tortoise Also known as the speckled cape tortoise is the world's tiniest turtle, you can find them inside South Africa. These little critters usually measure between six to ten centimeters in length and weigh around 95 to 165 grams. These little guys are most active in early mornings and live in rocky terrain usually feeding on small succulents which grow in between the rocks. Their babies are usually born under seven grams and are only 30 millimeters long, the hatchlings emerge from their shells between 100 and 120 days. 5 - Spaghetti Snake This charming reptilian can most commonly be located inside the Caribbean Islands native to Barbados and are said to be about as thick as a spaghetti noodle, hence their super cute namesake. This tiny member of the snake species called the blind threadsnake, they usually only grow to be about four inches in length and coil easily onto the width of an American quarter. The biologist who discovered this adorable reptile was S. Blair Hedges of the Pennsylvania State University who unearthed the tiny find from the soil of Barbados where they burrow in the forest dirt for their favourite meal, insect larvae. Though these snakes are blind, teeny tiny and lay just one egg at a time, they have managed to survive in the harsh wilderness of Barbados forests, proving once and for all that big things really do come in small packages. 4 - The Philippine Tarsier These little guys are some of the world's smallest primates, they are known for being jittery and shy. These marvels of the modern world have grey fur and have a nearly naked tail, head and body length only stretch to about 115 to 150 millimeters and weigh an approximate 110 to 145 grams. These Philippine-born critters are best characterised by their gigantic eyes, slender legs and fingers and jumping prowess, they can hop up to twenty whole feet, which is pretty darn impressive for such little guys. These miniature Tarsiers also have a very distinct neck, they have specially evolved vertebrates which allow them to turn their heads to nearly 180 degrees, making for the cutest exorcist movie ever! 3 - Denise's Pygmy Seahorse Look carefully, can you spot the little adorable horse of the sea? This adorable little miniature seahorse can be found in the Pacific ocean, most commonly on the Western side, they are sometimes referred to as the yellow pygmy seahorse with a standard tiny size of around two and a half centimeters. These teeny-weeny creatures have short snouts, slender smooth bodies and a prehensile tail. These little darlings are most commonly found at depths between 13 and 100 meters below sea level usually hidden inside fields of sea fans. The male is the one who gets pregnant and broods the eggs inside its ventral brood pouch and utilises adaptive camouflage, changing it's color from yellow, to orange and sometimes to pink in order to remain not eaten by predators. 2 - Dwarf Three-Toed Jerboa This amazing tiny wonder is hailed as the smallest rodent in the world and also, the cutest. This teeny weeny rodent grows to be an average of about 1 and a half inches in head and body length with the tail stretching an approximate 3 inches, these adorable critters usually weigh around 3.75 grams. These critters can be found in Pakistan and Afghanistan frequenting sand dunes, gravel flats and sandy plains in hot deserts. These cute little guys are best known for their long hops and magnificent balance thanks to their long tails. These cute fellas tend to live inside burrows under small bushes and feed on wind blown seeds and scattered leaves. 1 - Pygmy Mouse Lemur Get ready for an absolute cuteness overload ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce you to the world's smallest species of lemur, the pygmy mouse lemur. This adorable little guy is only approximately five inches long and weighs a microscopic two ounces. These tiny little adorable creatures were discovered in the year of 1993 along the forested areas of Madagascar, These nocturnal primates prefer deciduous forests and are usually brown and white in color, they have long tails which they use to hang from trees and look even more adorable than usual. Oh man, just look at this one, he's sticking out his tongue, ah! So cute! -

Spain´s highest mountain @(3718m) is one of the best places in the world to photograph the stars and is also the location of Teide Observatories, considered to be one of the world´s best observatories. The goal was to capture the beautiful Milky Way galaxy along with one of the most amazing mountains I know El Teide. I have to say this was one of the most exhausting trips I have done. There was a lot of hiking at high altitudes and probably less than 10 hours of sleep in total for the whole week. Having been here 10-11 times before I had a long list of must-see locations I wanted to capture for this movie, but I am still not 100% used to carrying around so much gear required for time-lapse movies. A large sandstorm hit the Sahara Desert on the 9th April (http://bit.ly/g3tsDW) and at approx 3am in the night the sandstorm hit me, making it nearly impossible to see the sky with my own eyes. Interestingly enough my camera was set for a 5 hour sequence of the milky way during this time and I was sure my whole scene was ruined. To my surprise, my camera had managed to capture the sandstorm which was backlit by Grand Canary Island making it look like golden clouds. The Milky Way was shining through the clouds, making the stars sparkle in an interesting way. So if you ever wondered how the Milky Way would look through a Sahara sandstorm, look at 00:32. Our World
OUR WORLD follows two prep school students (Drew and Owen) as they navigate the excitement and pitfalls of adolescence (i.e. sex, drugs and getting into the college of one's choice). When their alpha male status is threatened through a series of unfortunate and shocking events, adulthood is suddenly thrust upon them. The youths discover how quickly the age of innocence ends. Adding coal to the fire, Owen's mother (a jet-setting, young widow) learns-at the reading of her late husband's will-that her wealth has all but evaporated. A moral dilemma ensues. How far she will go to maintain appearances and her rung on the social ladder? Her partner in crime is a beautiful socialite who seems to have it all: a successful, loving husband; the perfect teenage son (Drew); and a secure place at the top of the social pyramid. With the arrival of her obsessive, status seeking mother (played by a soon to be announced daytime television veteran), her world comes crashing down in a scandal of infidelity, abuse and-potentially-murder.

Spain´s highest mountain @(3718m) is one of the best places in the world to photograph the stars and is also the location of Teide Observatories, considered to be one of the world´s best observatories. The goal was to capture the beautiful Milky Way galaxy along with one of the most amazing mountains I know El Teide. I have to say this was one of the most exhausting trips I have done. The World Beyond the World
Using text adapted from Robert Marshalls "Alaska Wilderness: Exploring the Brooks Range" (1929) and images from Expedition Arguk (2013), "The World Beyond the World" aims to celebrate that most ancient and sublime of human pleasures: moving through a mysterious, beautiful, and unknown landscape. In 2013, Expedition Arguk walked and packrafted across 300 miles of wilderness in the Alaska Arctic in order to report on Arctic issues and create public-use media from this far-off but increasingly important region. "The World Beyond the World" was shot during the first third of our trip, which took place entirely in Gates of the Arctic National Park and Preserve. 8. Museum of Islamic Art-- Qatar
The Museum of Islamic Art is the focal point of Doha, the capital of Qatar. The building was created by Louvre architect I.M. Pei, who was coaxed out of retirement in order to design the building which takes its inspiration from ancient Islamic architecture. The museum is home to over 1,400 years of Islamic history including artifacts from Egypt, Iraq, Iran, Turkey, and India.
7. Museum of Tomorrow-- Brazil
The Museum of Tomorrow in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil is an experiment in every way. The concept behind the museum was not to be a museum of items or artifacts, but a museum of ideas and learning. The museum guides its visitors with technology through the beginning of the universe to modern science to conjecture about the future of our planet. The building’s futuristic design is a study in sustainability, using 40% less energy than a conventional building and cooling itself from the water of the Guanabara Bay it overlooks. This museum looks like it could be straight out of a science fiction movie, but could be leading the way in a generation of science-minded people.
6. Erawan Museum-- Thailand
The Erawan Museum in Samut Prakan, Thailand pays homage to its Thai heritage with examples of traditional art and historical artifacts. The museum is best known for the 250-ton, 95-foot tall, bronze elephant statue and pedestal that makes up the museum itself. Erawan is modeled after the Hindu representation of earth and heaven. The inside of this museum is just as impressive as the outside: it is a lesson in color and detail, leaving no corner untouched by beauty.
5. Cité du Vin-- France
Located in Bordeaux, France on the Garonne River, Cité du Vin is precisely what you might expect: a museum of all things wine-related. Through wine and vineyards, Cité du Vin explores cultures from across the world. The building itself is even wine-themed, with liquid-smooth curves meant to mimic the pouring of wine into a glass.

The building was designed by Cesar Pelli, who wanted the top portion of the museum to resemble reeds in the wind (but don’t be fooled, most of the museum is underground. Inside this elaborate structure is a collection 6,100 works from Japanese artists, such as Arinori Ichihara, as well as some European masters, including Monet.

This museum in Giverny, France was actually the home of the famous Impressionist painter Claude Monet from 1833 to 1926. If you look at photos of the home, you’ll most likely recognize some of the scenes, including his famous garden of water lilies. Today, it is open to the public for tours of how the artist lived and worked. What you might not know about Monet is that he took some of his inspiration from Japanese ukiyo-e prints from the 18th and 19th century, which are still in his home today.

6 - Speckled Padloper Tortoise
Also known as the speckled cape tortoise is the world's tiniest turtle, you can find them inside South Africa. These little critters usually measure between six to ten centimeters in length and weigh around 95 to 165 grams. These little guys are most active in early mornings and live in rocky terrain usually feeding on small succulents which grow in between the rocks. Their babies are usually born under seven grams and are only 30 millimeters long, the hatchlings emerge from their shells between 100 and 120 days.
5 - Spaghetti Snake
This charming reptilian can most commonly be located inside the Caribbean Islands native to Barbados and are said to be about as thick as a spaghetti noodle, hence their super cute namesake. This tiny member of the snake species called the blind threadsnake, they usually only grow to be about four inches in length and coil easily onto the width of an American quarter. The biologist who discovered this adorable reptile was S. Blair Hedges of the Pennsylvania State University who unearthed the tiny find from the soil of Barbados where they burrow in the forest dirt for their favourite meal, insect larvae. Though these snakes are blind, teeny tiny and lay just one egg at a time, they have managed to survive in the harsh wilderness of Barbados forests, proving once and for all that big things really do come in small packages.
4 - The Philippine Tarsier
These little guys are some of the world's smallest primates, they are known for being jittery and shy. These marvels of the modern world have grey fur and have a nearly naked tail, head and body length only stretch to about 115 to 150 millimeters and weigh an approximate 110 to 145 grams. These Philippine-born critters are best characterised by their gigantic eyes, slender legs and fingers and jumping prowess, they can hop up to twenty whole feet, which is pretty darn impressive for such little guys. These miniature Tarsiers also have a very distinct neck, they have specially evolved vertebrates which allow them to turn their heads to nearly 180 degrees, making for the cutest exorcist movie ever!
3 - Denise's Pygmy Seahorse
Look carefully, can you spot the little adorable horse of the sea? This adorable little miniature seahorse can be found in the Pacific ocean, most commonly on the Western side, they are sometimes referred to as the yellow pygmy seahorse with a standard tiny size of around two and a half centimeters. These teeny-weeny creatures have short snouts, slender smooth bodies and a prehensile tail. These little darlings are most commonly found at depths between 13 and 100 meters below sea level usually hidden inside fields of sea fans. The male is the one who gets pregnant and broods the eggs inside its ventral brood pouch and utilises adaptive camouflage, changing it's color from yellow, to orange and sometimes to pink in order to remain not eaten by predators.

This amazing tiny wonder is hailed as the smallest rodent in the world and also, the cutest. This teeny weeny rodent grows to be an average of about 1 and a half inches in head and body length with the tail stretching an approximate 3 inches, these adorable critters usually weigh around 3.75 grams. These critters can be found in Pakistan and Afghanistan frequenting sand dunes, gravel flats and sandy plains in hot deserts. These cute little guys are best known for their long hops and magnificent balance thanks to their long tails. These cute fellas tend to live inside burrows under small bushes and feed on wind blown seeds and scattered leaves.

This was filmed between 4th and 11th April 2011. I had the pleasure of visiting El Teide.
Spain´s highest mountain @(3718m) is one of the best places in the world to photograph the stars and is also the location of Teide Observatories, considered to be one of the world´s best observatories.
The goal was to capture the beautiful Milky Way galaxy along with one of the most amazing mountains I know El Teide. I have to say this was one of the most exhausting trips I have done. There was a lot of hiking at high altitudes and probably less than 10 hours of sleep in total for the whole week. Having been here 10-11 times before I had a long list of must-see locations I wanted to capture for this movie, but I am still not 100% used to carrying around so much gear required for time-lapse movies.
A large sandstorm hit the Sahara Desert on the 9th April (http://bit.ly/g3tsDW) and at approx 3am in the night the sandstorm hit me, making it nearly impossible to see the sky with my own eyes.
Interestingly enough my camera was set for a 5 hour sequence of the milky way during this time and I was sure my whole scene was ruined. To my surprise, my camera had managed to capture the sandstorm which was backlit by Grand Canary Island making it look like golden clouds. The Milky Way was shining through the clouds, making the stars sparkle in an interesting way. So if you ever wondered how the Milky Way would look through a Sahara sandstorm, look at 00:32.

Using text adapted from Robert Marshalls "Alaska Wilderness: Exploring the Brooks Range" (1929) and images from Expedition Arguk (2013), "The World Beyond the World" aims to celebrate that most ancient and sublime of human pleasures: moving through a mysterious, beautiful, and unknown landscape.
In 2013, Expedition Arguk walked and packrafted across 300 miles of wilderness in the Alaska Arctic in order to report on Arctic issues and create public-use media from this far-off but increasingly important region. "The World Beyond the World" was shot during the first third of our trip, which took place entirely in Gates of the Arctic National Park and Preserve. Gates of the Arctic is the second-largest US National Park, but its extraordinary remoteness and challenging weather mean that the Park sees relatively few visitors. There are no guidebooks, trails, campgrounds, or roads. Most of the photos that make up this film are available for 100% free, unrestricted public use at www.expeditionarguk.com
Assembled entirely from stills shot with a Nikon D7100 camera, using a Nikon 55-200 VR and a Tokina 11-17 ultrawide lens. Post-production in Photoshop and After Effects, with countless hours on a Wacom Intuos4 tablet.

Spain´s highest mountain @(3718m) is one of the best places in the world to photograph the stars and is also the location of Teide Observatories, considered to be one of the world´s best observatories. The goal was to capture the beautiful Milky Way galaxy along with one of the most amazing mountains I know El Teide. I have to say this was one of the most exhausting trips I have done. The building’s futuristic design is a study in sustainability, using 40% less energy than a conventional building and cooling itself from the water of the Guanabara Bay it overlooks. This museum looks like it could be straight out of a science fiction movie, but could be leading the way in a generation of science-minded people.
6. Erawan Museum-- Thailand
The Erawan Museum in Samut Prakan, Thailand pays homage to its Thai heritage with examples of traditional art and historical artifacts. The museum is best known for the 250-ton, 95-foot tall, bronze elephant statue and pedestal that makes up the museum itself. Erawan is modeled after the Hindu representation of earth and heaven. The inside of this museum is just as impressive as the outside: it is a lesson in color and detail, leaving no corner untouched by beauty.
5. Cité du Vin-- France
Located in Bordeaux, France on the Garonne River, Cité du Vin is precisely what you might expect: a museum of all things wine-related. Through wine and vineyards, Cité du Vin explores cultures from across the world. The building itself is even wine-themed, with liquid-smooth curves meant to mimic the pouring of wine into a glass.

The National Museum of Art in Osaka, Japan strives to be, itself, a work of modern art. The building was designed by Cesar Pelli, who wanted the top portion of the museum to resemble reeds in the wind (but don’t be fooled, most of the museum is underground. Inside this elaborate structure is a collection 6,100 works from Japanese artists, such as Arinori Ichihara, as well as some European masters, including Monet.
3. Fondation Monet-- France
This museum in Giverny, France was actually the home of the famous Impressionist painter Claude Monet from 1833 to 1926. If you look at photos of the home, you’ll most likely recognize some of the scenes, including his famous garden of water lilies. Today, it is open to the public for tours of how the artist lived and worked. What you might not know about Monet is that he took some of his inspiration from Japanese ukiyo-e prints from the 18th and 19th century, which are still in his home today.
2. Montreal Biosphere-- Canada
The Montreal Biosphere was designed by Buckminster Fuller, employed by the United States, as part of the 1967 World Fair. Fuller used 1,900 acrylic panels to create his geodesic dome. The dome was originally an exhibit for American culture, but was gifted to Montreal after the fair in 1967. Today, it is the only environmental museum in North America. It is an entirely green building and is dedicated to education and awareness of major environmental issues.

This architectural masterpiece is the Guggenheim of Bilbao, Spain. It opened in 1997 and was designed by Frank Gehry to house the Guggenheim’s collection of modern art. The building itself features a glass atrium to welcome visitors and sleek, smooth titanium walls to reflect the flowing water of the Nervion River. When it was constructed, it was considered one of the most important buildings of the 20th century.

What you might not know about Monet is that he took some of his inspiration from Japanese ukiyo-e prints from the 18th and 19th century, which are still in his home today.
2. Montreal Biosphere-- Canada
The Montreal Biosphere was designed by Buckminster Fuller, employed by the United States, as part of the 1967 World Fair. Fuller used 1,900 acrylic panels to create his geodesic dome. The dome was originally an exhibit for American culture, but was gifted to Montreal after the fair in 1967. Today, it is the only environmental museum in North America. It is an entirely green building and is dedicated to education and awareness of major environmental issues.
1. The Guggenheim-- Spain
This architectural masterpiece is the Guggenheim of Bilbao, Spain. It opened in 1997 and was designed by Frank Gehry to house the Guggenheim’s collection of modern art. The building itself features a glass atrium to welcome visitors and sleek, smooth titanium walls to reflect the flowing water of the Nervion River. When it was constructed, it was considered one of the most important buildings of the 20th century.

6 - Speckled Padloper Tortoise
Also known as the speckled cape tortoise is the world's tiniest turtle, you can find them inside South Africa. These little critters usually measure between six to ten centimeters in length and weigh around 95 to 165 grams. These little guys are most active in early mornings and live in rocky terrain usually feeding on small succulents which grow in between the rocks. Their babies are usually born under seven grams and are only 30 millimeters long, the hatchlings emerge from their shells between 100 and 120 days.

This charming reptilian can most commonly be located inside the Caribbean Islands native to Barbados and are said to be about as thick as a spaghetti noodle, hence their super cute namesake. This tiny member of the snake species called the blind threadsnake, they usually only grow to be about four inches in length and coil easily onto the width of an American quarter. The biologist who discovered this adorable reptile was S. Blair Hedges of the Pennsylvania State University who unearthed the tiny find from the soil of Barbados where they burrow in the forest dirt for their favourite meal, insect larvae. Though these snakes are blind, teeny tiny and lay just one egg at a time, they have managed to survive in the harsh wilderness of Barbados forests, proving once and for all that big things really do come in small packages.
4 - The Philippine Tarsier
These little guys are some of the world's smallest primates, they are known for being jittery and shy. These marvels of the modern world have grey fur and have a nearly naked tail, head and body length only stretch to about 115 to 150 millimeters and weigh an approximate 110 to 145 grams. These Philippine-born critters are best characterised by their gigantic eyes, slender legs and fingers and jumping prowess, they can hop up to twenty whole feet, which is pretty darn impressive for such little guys. These miniature Tarsiers also have a very distinct neck, they have specially evolved vertebrates which allow them to turn their heads to nearly 180 degrees, making for the cutest exorcist movie ever!
3 - Denise's Pygmy Seahorse
Look carefully, can you spot the little adorable horse of the sea? This adorable little miniature seahorse can be found in the Pacific ocean, most commonly on the Western side, they are sometimes referred to as the yellow pygmy seahorse with a standard tiny size of around two and a half centimeters. These teeny-weeny creatures have short snouts, slender smooth bodies and a prehensile tail. These little darlings are most commonly found at depths between 13 and 100 meters below sea level usually hidden inside fields of sea fans. The male is the one who gets pregnant and broods the eggs inside its ventral brood pouch and utilises adaptive camouflage, changing it's color from yellow, to orange and sometimes to pink in order to remain not eaten by predators.

This amazing tiny wonder is hailed as the smallest rodent in the world and also, the cutest. This teeny weeny rodent grows to be an average of about 1 and a half inches in head and body length with the tail stretching an approximate 3 inches, these adorable critters usually weigh around 3.75 grams. These critters can be found in Pakistan and Afghanistan frequenting sand dunes, gravel flats and sandy plains in hot deserts. These cute little guys are best known for their long hops and magnificent balance thanks to their long tails. These cute fellas tend to live inside burrows under small bushes and feed on wind blown seeds and scattered leaves.

This award winning short was created by filmmaker Bruce Branit, widely known as the co-creator of '405'. World Builder was shot in a single day followed by about 2 years of post production. Branit is the owner of Branit VFX based in Kansas City.

This was filmed between 4th and 11th April 2011. I had the pleasure of visiting El Teide.
Spain´s highest mountain @(3718m) is one of the best places in the world to photograph the stars and is also the location of Teide Observatories, considered to be one of the world´s best observatories.
The goal was to capture the beautiful Milky Way galaxy along with one of the most amazing mountains I know El Teide. I have to say this was one of the most exhausting trips I have done. There was a lot of hiking at high altitudes and probably less than 10 hours of sleep in total for the whole week. Having been here 10-11 times before I had a long list of must-see locations I wanted to capture for this movie, but I am still not 100% used to carrying around so much gear required for time-lapse movies.
A large sandstorm hit the Sahara Desert on the 9th April (http://bit.ly/g3tsDW) and at approx 3am in the night the sandstorm hit me, making it nearly impossible to see the sky with my own eyes.
Interestingly enough my camera was set for a 5 hour sequence of the milky way during this time and I was sure my whole scene was ruined. To my surprise, my camera had managed to capture the sandstorm which was backlit by Grand Canary Island making it look like golden clouds. The Milky Way was shining through the clouds, making the stars sparkle in an interesting way. So if you ever wondered how the Milky Way would look through a Sahara sandstorm, look at 00:32.

Using text adapted from Robert Marshalls "Alaska Wilderness: Exploring the Brooks Range" (1929) and images from Expedition Arguk (2013), "The World Beyond the World" aims to celebrate that most ancient and sublime of human pleasures: moving through a mysterious, beautiful, and unknown landscape.
In 2013, Expedition Arguk walked and packrafted across 300 miles of wilderness in the Alaska Arctic in order to report on Arctic issues and create public-use media from this far-off but increasingly important region. "The World Beyond the World" was shot during the first third of our trip, which took place entirely in Gates of the Arctic National Park and Preserve. Gates of the Arctic is the second-largest US National Park, but its extraordinary remoteness and challenging weather mean that the Park sees relatively few visitors. There are no guidebooks, trails, campgrounds, or roads. Most of the photos that make up this film are available for 100% free, unrestricted public use at www.expeditionarguk.com
Assembled entirely from stills shot with a Nikon D7100 camera, using a Nikon 55-200 VR and a Tokina 11-17 ultrawide lens. Post-production in Photoshop and After Effects, with countless hours on a Wacom Intuos4 tablet.
