Tyler Henry

Tyler Henry (born January 13, 1996) is an American clairvoyant medium who appears in the U.S. television series Hollywood Medium With Tyler Henry, produced by 44 Blue Productions and Corbett/Stern Productions. The series began broadcast on the E! Television Network in the United States in January 2016, enjoying immediate ratings success and prompting the network to order additional episodes, Critical skeptics of Henry have called him a "grief vampire" and question E!'s decision to televise personal readings as entertainment.

Early life

Henry is a native of Hanford, California, a small rural suburb just outside of Fresno. He reportedly had his first psychic experience at the age of 10, when he woke and told his mother that his elderly grandmother, who had cancer, was about to die and that they should immediately leave to see her. The sensation was "almost like a memory that hadn't happened yet". His grandmother's death was confirmed a few minutes later with a telephone call.

After giving readings to students and teachers at Hanford's Sierra Pacific High School, from which he graduated on an accelerated academic program, Henry initially aspired to attend college and become a hospice nurse to help people with their transition. However, Henry soon was "discovered" and began offering readings in Hanford, Fresno, and eventually Los Angeles. Before long, he gained a healthy celebrity clientele and a reality TV development deal. Henry, who has never had a driver's license and who is often driven to readings by his mother, began filming his E! television series when he was 19 years old and the show began airing a week after his 20th birthday.

Interaction design

In design, human–computer interaction, and software development, interaction design, often abbreviated IxD, is defined as "the practice of designing interactive digital products, environments, systems, and services." Like many other design fields interaction design also has an interest in form but its main focus is on behaviour. What clearly marks interaction design as a design field as opposed to a science or engineering field is that it involves synthesising and imagining things as they might be, more so than focusing on how things are.

Interaction design is heavily focused on satisfying the needs and desires of the majority of people who will use the product; other disciplines like software engineering have a heavy focus on designing for technical stakeholders of a project.

History

The term interaction design was first coined by Bill Moggridge and Bill Verplank in the mid-1980s. It would be another 10 years before other designers rediscovered the term and started using it. To Verplank, it was an adaptation of the computer science term user interface design to the industrial design profession. To Moggridge, it was an improvement over soft-face, which he had coined in 1984 to refer to the application of industrial design to products containing software.

Geometry Dash

Geometry Dash is a 2013 mobile game and Steam game developed by Sweden-based developer Robert Topala, and published by his own company RobTop Games. It is a rhythm-based running game which currently has 20 levels. Each level features unique background music. Although the player is not required to complete a level to advance to the next, they increase in difficulty for the most part. Other features of the game that exist in the latest versions are a level editor, map packs, user-created levels, secret coins, user coins, a secret vault and a great variety of icons and game modes.

Gameplay

Geometry Dash uses a simple tapping/clicking system to control different vehicles that react when a player presses anywhere on the touchscreen (space/up key(s) or mouse if playing on the Steam version) and can be held down to constantly interact (on some vehicles). Users cannot control the speed at which the icon is moving, unless it interacts with a speed changing portal. The timing and rhythm are key parts of the game.

Matt Lauer

Matthew Todd "Matt" Lauer (born December 30, 1957) is an American television journalist best known as the host of NBC's The Today Show since 1997. He is also a contributor for NBC's Dateline NBC. He was previously a news anchor for The Today Show in 1994 and anchor for WNBC in New York City and a local talk-show host in Boston, Philadelphia, Providence and Richmond. He was also host of PM Magazine (or "Evening Magazine" 1980–86) and worked for ESPN in the 1980s as a sideline reporter. In the early 1990s, Lauer hosted segments of HBO Entertainment News.

Early life

Lauer was born in New York City, the son of Marilyn Kolmer (née Gentry), a boutique owner, and Jay Robert Lauer, a bicycle-company executive. His parents divorced during his youth, and his father died in 1997. Lauer had become co-host of The Today Show, replacing longtime host Bryant Gumbel in early 1997, not long before his father's death.

Lauer's father was of Romanian Jewish heritage, as seen on the Today Show's Finding Our Roots. Lauer said, "My dad was Jewish. My mom is not. So I was not raised anything. I do feel a desire now to find something spiritual. Getting married and wanting to have kids has something to do with that."

Plot: People from all over Sweden write in to the show because they are for some reason being visited by spirits from beyond the veil. Sometimes the people who write to the show are frightened by the "ghosts", sometimes they are convinced it's a loved one visiting them, but what they all have in common is that they want to find out what the spirits want. A team of mediums are on standby to help the families - but they are told nothing about what the family has experienced. They are then allowed to wander around the family's home and try to connect to the spirits in that place - they continuously tell the family and the cameras what impressions they are getting, and what type of connection they are making. They also try to get as many details about the person they are in contact with as possible, and try to find out what the spirits are doing in the house. Sometimes the family recognizes the spirits, and sometimes they are connected to the house or the area rather than the family. Sometimes the mediums connect with a spirit that has been unable to cross over to the other side, and have to help them over or "cleanse" the home. Sometimes just finding out what the spirit wants makes the phenomena stop. After the medium has completed his or her work, the TV-team compiles the information about the spirits and tries to find out more about them. In the cases when the families recognize a relative or friend, this is relatively easy, but with older, lingering spirits or ones that are connected to the area, there is a fair bit of research done as the team try to find proof that all the people the medium had contact with really existed. Sometimes it is impossible to verify, sometimes it becomes obvious who the mediums where in contact with. "Det Okända" works with some of Sweden's foremost mediums, and prides itself on the fact that unlike many shows about mediums they never "cheat". there is no research done in advance, and the mediums aren't given any information in advance, not even an address. It is also entirely unscripted.

Plot: The movie is based on a true story. On 16 March 1978 Aldo Moro, the former Italian Prime Minister was kidnapped in Via Fani by the Brigate Rosse (Red Brigades), a militant Communist Italian group. He was the main supporter of the Compromesso Storico (Hystorical Compromise), which had to lead to the first Italian government supported by both the Christian Democrats and the Communists, in a period of social, economic and political crises. During the attack his five escort agents were all killed. Moro's corpse was found on 9 May 1978 in a car parked in a street between the headquarters of the Christian Democrat Party and the Communist Party. This movie is inspired by this tragic event which traumatize the whole nation. It focuses mainly on the relationship between the prisoner and his guards through the eyes of Chiara, the young woman whose role is to guard the prisoner. The movie portraits Chiara's life (her job as a librarian, the ordinary household) on one side and the political process which is held against Moro by her friends on the other, while they are waiting for a revolution to come. She is drawn between these two aspects and she begins to doubt her political commitment (she cries when she listens to Moro's letter to the Pope). The news tell the people what is going on in Italy (some politicians ask for the death penalty for the kidnappers, the Pope Paul VI appeals to the terrorist for Moro's release). The State will not bend by accepting the conditions established by the terrorists to release the prisoner. The Brigate Rosse sentence Moro to death and the story comes to its tragic end, although the eyes and the heart of the imagination show Aldo Moro walking happy and free in Rome.
