What We Do

As the development arm of the United Nations, UNDP supports strategic capacity development initiatives to promote inclusive growth and sustainable human development. Through partnerships with national, regional, and local governments, civil society, and the private sector, UNDP strives to support Ukraine in its efforts to eliminate poverty, develop people’s capacity, achieve equitable results, sustain the environment, and advance democratic governance.

Our Goals

The main goal of UNDP is to support Ukraine on its sustainable human development path towards a more prosperous, democratic, inclusive and resilient state where no one is left behind and each voice is heard. We are guided by Sustainable Development Goals and the UN Conventions to which the Government of Ukraine is committed. View more

Projects and Initiatives

  • Rada for Europe: driving reforms across Ukraine

    The project focuses on strengthening the capacity of the Verkhovna Rada to produce quality legislation and monitor its implementation, notably in the framework of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement, and to serve as a model and driving force for the reforms across Ukraine. more 

  • Development and Commercialization of Bioenergy Technologies in the Municipal Sector in Ukraine

    The project’s goal is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in Ukraine by creating favourable legal, regulatory and market environment and building institutional, administrative and technical capacities to promote the utilisation of the country’s extensive agricultural biomass potential for municipal heat and hot water services. more
