This was the third song I wrote after I taught myself to make whole songs back in 03. I sampled the opening few bars of Nico's mournful, lugubrious These Days and turned it into a thing of joy. I got Lois Winstone to sing the chorus, but she said my demo sounded great as it was, and to leave it like that. So I did.
Then I took it to New York and put a children's choir on it.
Billy Joel's dentist gave me $3000 worth of free dentistry because he said this song "will outlive us all".
He also gave me a pair of those awesome orange visor things they put over your eyes when you're getting your teeth lazered.
Wonchop did this video back in '05 as a demo for a potential full animation that, for a number of crap reasons, never happened. The demo is ace regardless. Akira the Don
Akira the Don (real name Adam Narkiewicz) is an independent British musician. Born in West Bromwich and raised in North Wales, for most of his career he has lived in Hackney, East London. In 2014, he relocated to Los Angeles.
His music and production traverses the boundaries between pop, hip-hop, indie and dance. He lists influences including Ice Cube, Adam Ant, Morrissey, Big Bang, Leonard Cohen, David Bowie and the Wu-Tang Clan. His debut album When We Were Young was produced in collaboration with Danny Saber (U2, Black Grape), James Brown (Nine Inch Nails, Ash) and Emile (50 Cent).
In May 2011, he released his second LP, The Life Equation. The album is co-produced with Stephen Hague and features collaborations with Gruff Rhys (of Super Furry Animals) and Envy.
In March 2014, Akira released his final LP titled A.T.D.R.I.P.. He played his final gig in London on May 19.
Production
Akira has produced songs for a number of artists including two top forty hits for Lethal Bizzle, along with songs for Newham Generals' Footsie,Big Narstie,Envy, G-Mane, Littles, Marvin The Martian, Issue, and Time.

"And I" is a song written by American R&B singer Ciara, and produced by Adonis Shropshire for Ciara's first album, Goodies (2004). It was released as the album's fourth and final single on August 30, 2005 (see 2005 in music) in North America.
The song was originally the third choice for the fourth single. Ciara has mentioned in an interview that "Thug Style", "Hotline" or "Pick up the Phone" would be the fourth single, but when Ciara suggested "And I" to executives at her previous record label LaFace, they were unhappy because they wanted "Next to You" to be the fourth single.
Chart performance
At the time of the U.S. release of "And I", Ciara's collaboration with Bow Wow, "Like You", and her collaboration with Missy Elliott, "Lose Control", were at the height of their popularity. "And I" peaked at 96 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and 27 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart, which were poor positions compared to those attained by the first three singles from the album Goodies. It was not released outside North America because of this, and it is Ciara's least successful single.

I sampled the opening few bars of Nico's mournful, lugubrious These Days and turned it into a thing of joy. I got Lois Winstone to sing the chorus, but she said my demo sounded great as it was, and to leave it like that. So I did. Then I took it to New York and put a children's choir on it. Billy Joel's dentist gave me $3000 worth of free dentistry because he said this song "will outlive us all". He also gave me a pair of those awesome orange visor things they put over your eyes when you're getting your teeth lazered. Wonchop did this video back in '05 as a demo for a potential full animation that, for a number of crap reasons, never happened. The demo is ace regardless. This was the third song I wrote after I taught myself to make whole songs back in 03. I sampled the opening few bars of Nico's mournful, lugubrious These Days and turned it into a thing of joy. I got Lois Winstone to sing the chorus, but she said my demo sounded great as it was, and to leave it like that. So I did.
Then I took it to New York and put a children's choir on it.
Billy Joel's dentist gave me $3000 worth of free dentistry because he said this song "will outlive us all".
He also gave me a pair of those awesome orange visor things they put over your eyes when you're getting your teeth lazered.
Wonchop did this video back in '05 as a demo for a potential full animation that, for a number of crap reasons, never happened. The demo is ace regardless. Upped here with the mastered version of the song, as opposed to the lo-fi version he was rocking with on his page. http://www.youtube.com/user/wonchopmonkeyman

ZION 2012: The Apocalympics is a unique and historical artwork, that I've been working on at an incremental rate of intensity since I moved here to Nu Olympia in 2007. It is the story of strange and troubling hypothesis: that of the Zion 2012 Olympics Project Bluebeam Staged Alien Invasion/Rapture/Mass Hypnosis Mega Ritual Event. It is a story with roots in the 1700s, that incorporates politicians, poets, authors, Nazi scientists, and a young prophet from Scunthorpe, who died in strange circumstances shortly after divulging a theory that would go on to change the course of history.
The story is told via the medium of sound, in ten chapters over 60 minutes, using over 100 samples and over 100 years of historical documents and testimony.

ZION 2012: The Apocalympics is a unique and historical artwork, that I've been working on at an incremental rate of intensity since I moved here to Nu Olympia in 2007. It is the story of strange and troubling hypothesis: that of the Zion 2012 Olympics Project Bluebeam Staged Alien Invasion/Rapture/Mass Hypnosis Mega Ritual Event. It is a story with roots in the 1700s, that incorporates politicians, poets, authors, Nazi scientists, and a young prophet from Scunthorpe, who died in strange circumstances shortly after divulging a theory that would go on to change the course of history.
The story is told via the medium of sound, in ten chapters over 60 minutes, using over 100 samples and over 100 years of historical documents and testimony.
